Loooong wait on the phone!!

I booked 2 bedroom at OKW for the last week Jan. and saved over $2000 on our ressie. We did a room only. Did ours online before 7 this morning.

Still having trouble getting through. We are going Dec. 27 - Jan.4. I want to change my package reservation so it only goes Dec. 27- Dec. 31 and book a room for Jan 1 - 4th. Do you think it makes sense to simply book a room on line and then call later in the week to adjust my package dates? We are staying at the Poly and am thinking I'd like to move to the GF on Jan 1st?

Any advice is appreciated as I'm a novice at this!

I currently have a bounceback rate at ASSp for 12/1 to 12/6. The public rate would have saved me $25 total. The hold time was 30+ minutes. I decided not to hold on.

OK I went back to the phone, waited 20 minutes on hold and reduced our 5 night stay at All Star Sports by $25.00 total, or $5.00 per night. I guess it was worth it. We are in a standard room, and we like All Star Sports.. We did originally have a bounce back rate..

I waited for a little over 30 min but boy was it worth it! We ended up saving another $650 for our reservation at the Poly in Oct.

After getting dropped the first call through at exactly 7am, I called back at 7:03 and ended up waiting 48 minutes. Totally worth it, though - we ended up saving $760.00 on a 2 bedroom villa OKW for three nights and $1200.00 on a 1 bedroom villa OKW for six nights!!!!!!!!!!

After 2 circuits are busy and one "We are experiencing technical difficulties-click" got through spent 10 minutes on hold 7 minutes with very nice CM saved an additional $750 on our Oct Poly stay!!

New to this, so, If we get the Free Dining Plan, can we call back later and have some type of other code or discount applied to ressie ???

You can't stack discounts, you just have to do the math and see what discount offer is best for your family. You can change discounts, but not have more than one offer. I just changed from bounceback room only at 20% to Public code room only at 25% discount for All Stars in Dec 2010.

I have the discount offer for our room pulled up and available for me to book online right now. I could save another $557 with the click of a mouse. But my TA is currently in the process of trying to book same deal for us, and I am waiting to hear back when she has got it taken care of.

Sooo tempting to just book this deal myself, lock in the reduced rate and be done with it... but she has been so good to us over the years. The wait for confirmation from our TA is killing me, and I will be sick if we miss out on this deal just because I waited for her instead of booking online on my own.

That is EXACTLY why I don't go through TA's... it would make me nuts to have to sit and wait on someone else to do something, when I could just as easily -- and probably more quickly -- do it myself!!

Final got through and was able to make the appropriate changes...we are now doing a split stay Poly and then room only at the AKL. With all my changes I was able to save $900 by going with the AKL. Now I need to change my ADRs...LOL.

My TA snagged the booking for us.

Of course, right before she emailed me to let me know, I panicked and booked online myself also. I was worried she might not be able to book the discounted reservation, as she had tried earlier today and was told at that point in time that there was no availability at all for our dates and room category.

If anyone is looking to get the discount rate at AKL Club Level, in mid-January, another room just opened back up. (Canceled the extra ressie by phone while I was posting this).
