Looks like I'm going to be using my DVC alot more with this Fantasyland expansion!

This will definitely energize our family for some MK trips as well. We always visit every time we go to Disney World, but it definitely has a bit of a "been there, done that" feel for us lately. I can't wait to see how they pull this off.

With that said, what is the thought process behind the circus theme? How does that fit in with the "fantasy" theme? I'm not quite following that. Any ideas?

"Dumbo" is a circus themed movie, so it fits. Having the "Dumbo Flying Elephants" attraction in an area themed to that actually works quite well. At Disneyland they have the "Casey Jr. Circus Train" attraction next to Dumbo, playing on that circus theme. And it makes sense moving it away, off to the side of Fantasyland and out of the range of the "princess-y" parts.

I am disappointed to see Snow White being replaced by a princess meet and greet. With all the land they have in Florida, is it really necessary to remove rides? Isn't it enough that the characters have taken over CRT, Akershus, Crystal Palace, etc. Some of us don't care about seeing adults dressed up in costumes pretending to be a character. I also think it's pretty cheap to keep those temporary tents from Mickey's Starland and call them a circus land. They ought to check out Seuss Landing at Universal and see Circus McGurkus, which is a building made to look like a circus tent. If Universal can do it, Disney should be able to as well.

Also, adding one new ride (little mermaid), a new restaurant, another kiddie coaster, and more character spots is not going to get me to go back more often, especially when they remove an original classic ride at the same time.

But, Dumbo had been the perfect ride in the perfect location during Wishes. Fireworks all around you, and they have such incredible 3-D imagery as you are spinning around on Dumbo...

Although I only experienced Wishes once on Dumbo, it was so incredible that I'm disapointed they are moving Dumbo...

I think the mine coaster will be fun! The dwarves need to make a comeback. I think they have been neglected lately.

Two castles in MK is interesting to me also. I wonder how it will look.

My kids love Toontown at WDW. Does anyone know what will happen to Mickey and Minnie's house? Will they still be there? I hope so!

my kids love everything there... I don't think that they have a favorite place

Disney has said that they will keep Mickey's and Minnie's houses, but not sure where they will be putting them. Personally, I think they should take out the parking lot behind Main Street USA and create a "side street" for Mickey's and Minnie's houses.

I think replacing Snow White makes sense. Since they are planning a new Snow White area, I think it would be odd to have a SW attraction that is not part of the new area.

I've read elsewhere that Mickey & Minnie will start meet & greets inside the Exhibition Hall in Town Square on Main Street.

Thanks a lot for ruining it for me!!! I actually thought they were the real princesses. Next I suppose you'll tell me Santa isn't real.

If you love Toontown at WDW you should visit it at Disneyland. It is sooooo much better that it will make you glad they are getting rid of it at WDW.

It's nice to see something new going in, and I am sure they will do a great job. I agree that MK is in need of something new, I love all the old rides, but it needs an addition.

Not sure if it will be in time for us, I have a feeling our daughter may be a little too old for this area once it is finished. We shall see

I was completely weirded out this fall when they made parade/fireworks traffiic go behind main street. While practical, it was just the service ends of ordinary buildings, and very un-Disney.

Now, if it were completely cartoon themed as you are suggesting, that area could become magical!!

Oh yes, the area would definitely have to be themed.

I agree that they need to add things to MK, as long as they don't change everything like they did in FW in Epcot. Don't get me wrong, I like most of the attractions in FW, but it just doesn't have the same "home" feeling for me that MK has. See, I was fortunate enough to go to WDW every year as a kid, so to me going to MK is like going home. Epcot has lost alot of its attraction for me because of all the changes.

Not sure where the parking lot area is having never been there, but it would make a lot of sense to me to have Mickey and Minnie's houses near or just off of Main Street. I like that idea a lot.

I know they have that little side street (wrong term, sorry) off to the right when you're walking towards the castle. Sometimes they sell balloons there- maybe they could open that up into more of a cul de sac and put Minnie and Mickey back in there. But I'd like to see them in the Main Street area.

I will be going to DLR/DCL and experience other DVC options until the new fantasyland completed. We will be riding the Mermaid ride this August @ DCA!
