Looks like I'm going to be using my DVC alot more with this Fantasyland expansion!

Not sure where the parking lot area is having never been there, but it would make a lot of sense to me to have Mickey and Minnie's houses near or just off of Main Street. I like that idea a lot.

I know they have that little side street (wrong term, sorry) off to the right when you're walking towards the castle. Sometimes they sell balloons there- maybe they could open that up into more of a cul de sac and put Minnie and Mickey back in there. But I'd like to see them in the Main Street area.

I've circled the parking lot I am referring to in the photo below. It is currently accessible through a gate next to Le Chapeau Hat Shoppe.

Wow there is eough room for a new land there! I am sure they can move the parking lot somewhere else. I read on Jim Hill it will be Toon Studio themed instead of Toon Town. I think that would work.

I'm not a huge fan of Snow White's ride, so I have mixed feelings on losing it as a ride. On one hand, I hate to see Disney shuttering any classic rides but on the other hand it is a scary ride for the young ones (and not even that well done) and the mine train definitely sounds like a great upgrade.

Also, those princesses need a home somewhere and since they're losing their tent at toontown (who the heck put them there!?), putting them at Cindy's castle is finally placing them where they belong.

Now I may be late to the party, but I guess Pixie Hollow is out? Where are they going to put Tinker Bell, since her tent is gone too?! I don't know how many of you have small girls, but Tink is definitely the hot item these days at MK. I can't tell you how many hours I've waited for her over the last five years!

I gonna get hammered for this, but if space is a premium for MK, they should get rid of the Jungle Cruise and add Never Land next to Adventure Land. They could put Hook's Ship next to or near Pirates, and tie it all in with Pixie Hollow and a Lost Boys area. pirate:

Blasphemy! :scared1: Get rid of the Jungle Cruise, no can do! Would prefer not to lose Snow White either! Thankfully, my kids are teenagers now, so this won't affect me till I take my grandchildren, as it is now we rarely do Fantasy Land, or Toon Town (we just pick up or get off the train). It will be interesting to see if the changes bring people back!

:rotfl: I knew I'd get somebody with that statement. You have to admit though, it's a pretty silly ride these days when you put it into perspective with Animal Kingdom, and it does take up a lot of prime real estate on the map above. I know, I know though... It's classic Disney.

You have to admit, it would be neat to see Never Land. Maybe they could get rid of Small World. :rotfl:

I agree with getting rid of The Jungle Cruise! I was never really a big fan of it, and it seems a bit silly now that there is AK.

Disney has said that they will keep Mickey's and Minnie's houses, but not sure where they will be putting them.

Actually, they didn't say they would keep the houses. They said Mickey and Minnie would "have a home".

Based on one account, Walt first wanted the Jungle Cruise to be real animals, but they did not know enough to "stage" the live animals along the ride.

So yes, in essence, the AK Safari ride is the Jungle Cruise. Walt intended.

:Maybe they could get rid of Small World. :rotfl:
Get rid of It's a Small World :faint: What's next, The Carousel of Progress .....

I still feel angst when I walk by Ariel's Grotto and the submarines aren't there! Fond memories of my childhood! :cloud9:

I do agree that WDW does need updating in so many ways, so I guess I'll just have to get over it! I always thought that the Toon Town area was really too small of an area, with very few rides and attractions for the little ones that visit WDW. So WDW, let's bring on change!

P.S. I'd be willing to give up Stitch's Big Escape, any takers? :rolleyes1
