I do not know who you think was attacking you. I replied to your comment that many of us booked trips to LC thinking we would get an experience closer to CC and without things like flies and long piers and without knowing that they would not have things geared towards to 11-17 set like on CC only to find out we were mistaken and are now beyond the cancellation window.
I don't think they need to do anything. The majority of people probably enjoy it.
or have to pay triple the cruise price for a suite just to get one. I don't think that's a lot to ask for when visiting a beach. I will give it a chance and see how it goes. Our first visit in November will be on the Magic, 2400 max and they won't all want a chair on the beach of course. In spring, we'll be back on the Dream which means 4000, close to double the amount of people. I don't have high hopes for that visit but we'll see. It would have to really suck for me to skip a beach day.
For myself- More chairs actually on the beach, more golf carts so it’s easier getting back when exhausted at the end of the day, shade structures, and starting construction on a space for the teens (or at least a space like In Da Shade).
Genuinely curious here: we went to CC 15 times with our kids before they waved off cruising (insert dad eyeroll here). They never showed any interest in the in Da Shade. Granted, my kids are extremely introverted, but I'm curious if other people with teens showed interest here. When I was a teen, I'd have been on that like white on rice, but nowadays, kids are a bit different. I, for example, survived drinking gallons and gallons of water from the hose in the backyard.
I was going to ask the same question. My kids made friends with other teens on a couple of our past cruises, and while they spent a lot of time in the teen club onboard, they never went to The Hideout (the teen club on CC). Instead, the kids they'd become friends with onboard just floated around together, hung out under someone's umbrella and talked, etc.
I think there are sports and hammocks available, and a little place to sit and talk.
How long did you wait for a golf cart to get back to the ship at the end of the day?
My kids would hang out there. The have scheduled activities on the island for the Edge kids. Eating lunch and In da shade were part of it.
Using an ECV doesn't always have to do with whether or not one is "fit."
I can’t recall where exactly I read it, somewhere on the Disboards, that there are relatively very few chairs on the beach.
In the vlogs, it does seem that a lot of the chairs are on the sand behand a row of vegetation, and then fewer are on the water side of that vegetation.
The beautiful beach is definitely what looks to me to be highlight of this island. Glad you had a good time, and glad to hear the flies are being handled!
