We are planning a post-Christmas shopping trip to Massachusetts. My husband, two daughters, (21 and 14), and myself would like to spend a few days somewhere in the state. Now that they are older, the girls prefer gift certificates or cash for Christmas and all of us like getting away for a few days.

Could someone recommend a nice shopping mall in Massachusetts? A mall where there are restaurants nearby, maybe a movie theatre. Distance isn't a problem, we like to travel. We've been to Burlington Mall, which is nice, but we'd like to try a different place.

Thanks for any suggestions!

If you want to go to the western part of the state, right off 91 in Holyoke , Ma. is the Holyoke Mall at Ingleside. The anchor stores are Filene's, JCPenney, and Lord and Taylor. There is a fairly large food court as well as Kahunaville (similar to Rainforest cafe), Pizzaria Uno, and Ruby Tuesdays. Lots of typical; mall stores- Banana Republic, Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, Old Navy, H&M, Forever 21, Bath and Bodyworks, Best Buy, Target, Christmas Tree Shops, and of course, the Disney Store:D

I am formerly from Chicopee MA which is near Holyoke..and the Ingleside Mall is one of the nicest in the area..lots of shops to choose from..a fairly decent food court (from what I remember)..plenty of parking space..(unless you choose Black Friday..when the lines will be miles long waiting to get in!)
Have fun shopping!

Since you've already been to my favorite mall (Burlington), South Shore Plaza in Braintree and the Natick Mall are both very nice.

If you want something even more upscale, try the Chestnut Hill mall (it has a Bloomingdales) and the nearby Atrium Mall.

Someone already mentioned it but I second the Atrium Mall which is a little upscale but I love going there. I always hit The Cheesecake Factory (YUMMY) and the bookstore.

Also this isn't in Massachusetts but in Providence Rhode Island I would wholeheartedly recommend Providence Place. I LOVE IT!

Another Vote for the ingleside mall in Holyoke!!!!!!

I love this mall

my 2nd favorite would be burlington!

and this is from a Eastern mass girl!!!!

That's my home away from home - I work about 2miles from the mall and I have to agree with you. It's a beautiful mall :)

For malls in MA, I travel almost an hour to shop at the Burlington mall when I don't feel like dealing with Providence traffic. I will also drive to get to Braintree. Nice mall. lots of restaurants nearby as well.
For upscale malls, Chestnut Hill and the Atrium are always nice.

I have to agree...the Ingleside Mall in Holyke, MA. is really nice & I'd have to agree about Providence Place, we went there last fall for the 1st time...great place(if you go try to eat at Fire and Ice, there's one in Boston too!-Most Delicious!).
Here's a link to all of the Malls in Massachusetts
There are some great malls, all over this state, I wish we had a better one here on the Cape, it's nice, but not as big as some around MA.!
Have a nice trip!
