6pm is fine with me. In fact I need feedback. I am trying to make it late enough that soccer, football, whatever doesn't get entangled and yet early enough to allow for the small ones to have some time before having to go.
Simply siad this is OUR party and whatever works best will be accomodated as much asw possible. There might also be situations where some come early and have to leave and others come later. Flexibility is key!
Let me know your thoughts!

Hey. Sorry I'm so late to the party. Thanks emacman for the PM. We are in Bedford, so Southlake area is pretty convenient for us.

We might be interested in coming to a gathering if the time works out. The evening of Nov 1 looks possible for now at least. We have pretty young kids (6,4,1.5) so we can't stay too late. Keeping it flexible such as a come-and-go sounds like a good idea.

I'll try to keep watching the thread to see how things work out.

Great to have you along Dizneykids. I'm just back myself from a weekend of Indian Princess camping out. I'm tired too!
Will nail down final arrangements tomorrow and send out a definitive message to everyone.

OK everybody the location was secured today for November 1st, Saturday evening from 6pm -11pm if people are inclined to stay that long. I will be sending out detailed info in a personal email distribution list. I have received an email to do so from most of you. If you have not sent that to me and you want to be included please respond to the PM you were sent.

For any who may be just catchhing up with this project it is simply a social get together of any DVC members or interested parties who want to come and meet some of your neighbors in North Texas. You do not have to be from North Texas. But the gathering will be in Southlake, TX (NE Tarrant County) close to DFW airport at a nice Residential Community Clubhouse.

All ages are invited. We will encourage the kiddos (of all ages) to wear their favorite Halloween costume if they want to get one more use out of the costume this year. There will be games and videos for the group. Refreshments will be served. We might decide to ask for voluntears to assist where possible.

Basically just fun with people of like mind and interests of DVC.

We can certainly consider that! I'll be sending out a detailed distribution letter today that will discuss all of these issues.
There are pros and cons to many issues like what we do, what we eat, what ages are the majority of the kids, and even do people have 8mm, VHSC, VHS tapes of favorite memories they may want to show?

It will take a group effort to make the event really memorable. Anybody can throw a party, let's make this really special.

The party will be lots of fun and many have had excellent suggestions and that does not suprise me. There is a lot of talent and creativity in all of us Disney fans when we pull together.
