Looking for discounted Disney gift cards

Just came back from a business road trip. The Charleston, WV sam's did not have the bonus gift cards. The bowling green, KY did have them. I bought some and there was about 10 left. Murfreesboro, TN doesn't have them. Just an FYI for those still looking, they are out there :thumbsup2

Our local Sam's doesn't even sell $100 Disney gift cards. And none with a bonus. If they did have them, they were gone before Christmas. They only carry the $25 cards for $24.88, and the $50 cards for $48.88.

Thanks for letting me know! I may head to the Bowling Green store this afternoon just to see if they have them. I'm still trying to decide which is the best deal though. Which do you guys think?
1. The Sam's Disney gift card: For every $100 gc you get $2 off plus a $10 Disney store gift card. (12% savings, but 10% is in the form of merchandise)
2. Kroger Disney gift card: For every $100 gc I get 5% cashback with Chase Freedom (if I buy April-June) plus 10 cents off a gas fill up which will equal at the most $2 (7% savings, all in cash) This is assuming Kroger will not run the promotion of double gas points (or even quadruple like they did at Christmas).

Im a Pittsburgher too- I just paid my deposit with Disney gift cards I bought at Giant Eagle- yahoo $0.40 off per gallon of gas. I am contimplating paying for my whole stay this way, but am apprehensive for a number of reasons. What if we have something major come up between now and then and I have to cancel- how would I be refunded- in Disney gift cards.... ummm not sure I want that. Anyone know? Also, I found out yesterday you have to buy them in $50 increments to get the best deal on Fuel Perks- a $50 gift card gave me $0.10 off per gallon, while a $100 or $500 gift card only gave me $0.10 off per gallon. So, I paid my deposit in 4 $50 gift cards- lol. The CM was very accommodating, but what a PITA it would be paying off an expensive vacation in $50 increments- haha.

Disney refunds to the original source. So if you used a gift card, the money goes back to THAT gift card. Don't throw them out until you've finished your vacation!

Well, I didn't go by the Bowling Green Sam's Club today. I decided to wait and get them at Kroger and get the cashback rather than the discounted Disney Store gift cards. There may still be some there though.

Our local Target has $50 Disney gift cards. They're displayed near the CD's. The next time I go there, I'm going to get the Red debit card. That will save me $2.50 off each. ($500 in gift cards will save me $25.)

The Kroger store has the Disney cards in several denominations & designs. These will give double the fuel points. So a $50 card will be .10 off per gal of gas. I was told if I buy $500 in gift cards, that will save me $1 per gal of gas. These points do expire, and since the gas stations associated with this program aren't in convenient locations for us, I'm worried that we won't use the fuel points. If they were quadruple the points, I would make it work. But their cust srvc told me that probably won't happen until this summer.

I'm glad I found out about the Target debit card. That will save us 5% on our prescriptions, as well as any other shopping there.

Not only can you save the 5%, but you can also designate a school (a local elementary school, the neighborhood middle school or any other eligible K–12 school - we picked our granddaughters' private school hoping to help keep tuition rates down) and Target will donate 1% of your purchases to that school.

Thanks for letting me know about the double fuel points at Kroger. I just called my local Kroger and confirmed that they do give double on the Disney gift cards. Yeah!!! They also said that they give quadruple points once or twice a year, but they never know when it's going to be. I so hope they do it this summer, hopefully by June so that I can also get the 5% cashback from my Chase Freedom card. I love saving money!!!

The best "discount" on Disney cards I have found would be getting the Target Redcard -- they have both a credit card or a debit card that you can link to your checking account. Unless the policy has changed, you can purchase Disney gift cards with this and get 5% off of your purchase. Currently, I am debating if I want to pay off our cruise this way. Granted $100 is $100, but I have not decided if it is worth the hassle of paying with gift cards yet, kwim?

I am paying for our families annual passes and meals with Disney Gift Cards I bought at Target the weekend before Christmas. They had a deal that if you spend $75 or more you got a $10 gift card. I completed 18 transactions for $100 in gift cards received the 5% off for the Redcard so I spent $85 for $100 in giftcards. I used the "free" gift cards to buy more Disney Gift Cards. This deal isn't around all the time but if you use the Target pharmacy they give you a 5% off coupon every time you use your Redcard to pay for 5 prescriptions. You can then use the Redcard to get 5% off and then coupon for an addition 5% off Disney Gift Cards. It's a great way to save.

I just showed your post to my husband. He works for Giant Eagle corporate. You definitely get .10 off per $50, so it is .20 on a $100 gift card, etc. If you really think you didn't get that, take your receipt in to your local store. You do not need to buy the Disney gift cards in $50 increments. :)
