I'm baaaaaack! This may have been the best Disney weekend EVER! I'll be back with lots of details but now off to read what I missed - only 3 pages so shouldn't take me too long.

Got a couple juicy BSIL stories and lots of good and funny stories about the weekend overall!

Cammie- Beautiful pics I loved your dress. The in laws are back when I get home from work today and I am NOT happy, but oh well. It's all for Luca. I think we will need to get together for that drink now.

Debbie- your trip is creeping up so exciting.

Tammie- Thank you for the catch up! Wow you gals have been busy. I want a steam cleaner did you get the same one as Kara and Lorrie? Do you love it?

Jenn- I only have one baby boy, but I swear some days he is 2 little BoysHe can be a little monster, but I love him.

Tessa- WOO HOO on the weight Loss I am so proud of you

At work right now have a bit of down time first thing in the morning we usually do. Will check later on.

Couple quick comments - Welcome Tinkbells BFF! But just so you know, I am Tink's bff and I've got the photos to prove it!

Cammie - glad the show went well and seeing the ex's new wifey wasn't too traumatic - of course she's a hag!

Laura - love the pond! It looks so beautiful and peaceful!

Debbie and Jen - sorry about the kids..... mine would never do things like that! OK, Kara, back to reality!

Jenn - Jeff is the same way - he talks down about Disney when we're not there, but once we get on the road, he gets all giddy. And while we're there, he's a little kid!

Jillian - Oh no about Mike's job!!!! That might be the sign you've been looking for to relocate...... hey, I know a house that might be for sale soon.

So Jeff will have visitors from corporate this week. We'll know more later about the possible transfer. All weekend he was bummed out because of the lack of Disney if we move.

OK, one quick story..... and it's a duzy!

So we leave the parks early on Saturday and go back to the resort to hang by the pool. Jeff gets a call about 4:30 that they are in the lobby.... of OUR resort! WTH? They got into town about 3ish and we thought they'd hang at THEIR resort until our ADR at Boma.... nope! So they come down to the pool and Jeff buys them a drink at the pool bar. Remember that.

Ally and I head up to shower and change. Then I head down to meet Lorrie and her family! Sweet beautiful kids!!! So personable! Spent about 15 minutes with her (more than our 3 minutes Debbie! ). And then we had to head off to find BSIL. OK, so this is turning into more than one quick story!

We get our pics taken by photopass in the AKL lobby. Didn't turn out too well though. Then head to Victoria Falls to have a drink before dinner, thinking they will buy OUR drink this time. Yeah, what were we thinking!!!! So while their two kids ran and screamed the whole time, followed by their dad who encouraged him saying, "wh t, it's disney, who cares, let them be kids...." Ya know, they can be kids without disrupting others. It was driving me nuts. I know they were antsy from being cooped up in the car for 10 hrs, but take them outside. It was REALLY unruly. Oh, the kids are 5 and 1 1/2.

Dinner at Boma was GREAT! Loved it!

The good BSIL story is yesterday we hooked up with them at MK. After about 5 minutes BSIL asks Jeff and I if we will please watch the baby for just one ride so they can ride with the 5 year old. Jeff agrees, even though we said we wouldn't be babysitters. We figured no problem.

So we take the baby while they take Ally with them on Splash. We walk around a bit and then come back to watch for them. We wait 20 minutes in the blazing sun, trying to get their pic on the ride, when they finally come up to us. WTH? We've been standing her 20 minutes (40 minutes total with the baby), how did we miss them? BSIL smiles and says, "we cheated. We didn't see you when we got off so we went on BTMRR." Are you freaking kidding me???

Jeff was soooooo PO'd! Then Ally told us later that they DID see us but skirted around us! See why I dread these times with them????

OK, off to get Bucky at the kennel and take Ally to school today - be back later with my take on AKL and why this trip was sooooo wonderful!

MY DH is the king of "whatever"! Drives me crazy! I can do just about anything and he really doesn't care. Of course, sometimes that works in my favor

Since he's a whatever kinda guy, all the planning and worrying is my job. I'm glad I found this thread and there are other people out there like me!

I do have a question for you guys - I have "searched" the boards and can't find if anybody has ever posted a packing list. Kinda like the ones you see for cruises, the ones with the extra stuff people pack and can't live without.

Any help would be appreciated.

BEFORE TRIP LIST
Make sure all ADR are made at 180 days, save all confirmation numbers in your WDW trip folder.

Make copies of the credit cards you will be bringing and using on the trip to keep separate from actual cards.

Call every few weeks before hand to confirm your reservations at the hotel are OK.

Jenn- I only have one baby boy, but I swear some days he is 2 little BoysHe can be a little monster, but I love him.

Don't you talk that way about Badookie!!! He is toooo cute! But I must say, he's now tied with Mia in the toddler category! Debbie, yours don't count, they are older! Laura, same with you. Cammie, well, we all know that Lauren is the young lady now!

But Mia is precious!!! And not shy like so many at that age. She was just so personable - I'm sure they are having a ball watching her reactions! And Nicolas was a very polite young man. He looks a lot older than his age too. I think Lorrie would be crazy to not start him in kindergarten this year. Anyway, I think that with the exception of lunch with Cammie, this was the longest I've ever spent at a dismeet! About 15 minutes maybe.

And Jeff was thrilled as usual.....

Oh, did I mention the schools closed today? I send Ally to the bus stop.... and when it's about 10 minutes late I hop in the car to drive her. Meanwhile she is walking back to the house crying.

So I call a neighbor. She told me the school was closed for swine flu!!!! Well, we didn't turn on the TV last night when we got home, so we had no way of knowing!

Anyway, probably case, closed just our school here - first case in NE Florida. Oh, joy. and it's in my backyard..... so to speak.

But people are pulling their kids out of OTHER schools in the county. That makes me mad. We have a legitimate case, and they are so "worried" about their kids that they keep them out. They don't go to the same school!!!!! So they'll keep them out of school, but let them go to the mall, the movies, etc. They will be spreading it if anything. Stupid people.

about the swine flu! I heard there are a couple of cases in So. Oregon, too - so we'll have to see what happens. These people here are coming and going from Mexico all the time, so what can we expect

tammie--who is fighting?

I'm here. Found out that beth's sniffles she had today were alergy related. Amazing what benedryl can do for a kid. She is going to school tomorrow. Since she was home I put her to work. She wasn't really sick just a nasty dry cough and a slight fever (99.5). I let her lay around in the morning but then she was to help me. I ahd her play outside with her sister while I power raked, mowed, fertilized and seeded the back yard. Yeah real hard work for her. She got to play all day. The one good thing is that they are both exhusted and I have a seeded yard and it is going to rain tonight- woo-hoo!

Glad to see that BSIL was in top form on the trip.

Loved the bat mitzvah pictures Cammie. That can't be Lauren she is still a little girl. That girl is so grown up! Beautiful!

Jillian glad to see that you are making it thru the in-law invasion. Bummer about Mike. I will say sometimes things happen for strange reasons. Like when Tim was interviewing for his current job. It took forever! Like 6 months to get all the paperwork and stars to align. Then when he had a start date, I got laid off. And it worked out just perfectly. Good luck!

Okay Kara, I saw your pic on Ellen's TR. HOLY CATS!! you look great. I don't know what you complained about. Love that Ally still loved to get shrunk. SOOOOO what is the story with Jeff and the transfer?????

Hi Laura - great job getting the yard work done. I was cleaning up my flower bed in the back on Friday - until Myles dumped a whole bunch of dirt on Londynn's head - she was stuck in her baby swing, poor thing. I had to go in and give them a bath.

And, they are the two who are fighting. She is learning how to stick up for herself - funny, but annoying, too. Now she'll look at him and yell, "No!" just to get him fired up - then he hits her and she screams and he gets in big trouble. Starting already. Now a little boy would just haul off and start it with a hit, and they'd both get it! Girls are smarter!

Well, Jeff had dinner with his boss last night - he made an impromptu trip to Jax, so we knew something was up. And sure enough, they want him to move. They are aware they would be taking a big hit on our house and they're willing to do it, sooooo....... it looks like it will be happening.

When? Who knows. I told Jeff my only stipulation as far as time is that I want to stay here all summer. So we're thinking probably sometime in the fall. That will give me at least one more Disney long weekend in the fall after our blackout date is lifted. And then a long trip in the spring. Yes, my only concern is Disney. I'm so sad, aren't I?????

Oh no! Kara I'm so sorry! I hope they work with you guys on the house and the move date. I don't think protecting your family time is sad at all - those Disney trips are part of what your family loves about your home and it's going to be hard to make that sacrifice. I hate that you have to leave your new home that obviously you and the fam have fallen in love with. Maybe in a few years you will be back again?

Can't wait to see the houses you find in sc. Hopefully you will find something that works and is on a golf course. With all that drama at work (the old one) would you go back there or to an actual office for the current company ? I'm excited but know that this tough.

gosh I feel for you. I too have wanted to be able to have all the answers and stear the ship, but sometimes you have to accept things are out of your reach and control and your hands too! Take a deep breath and enjoy life and don't worry so much, It's going to be there tomorrow as I say, as much as your are trying to do it now. Life is toooo short to obscess. Best to you.
