I am right there with you! Last night I got to clean up 3 y/o sick twice. Oh the joys of motherhood - he never throws up. Today he and little sister (or is it his partner in crime) got into the pantry (which I forgot to lock) and dumped a bag of Goldfish and a jar of peanuts all over the living room rug all in the 5 minutes I was upstairs changing over a load of the ever-present laundry. Then when I went upstairs again to try to get dressed they got into the DVD cabinet and emptied it all over the floor. Love them...am done with them today.

This is my life every day!

Hey Deb! I'm so happy for Kara - that's what we had when we stayed there - I made friends with the giraffes! Really there was a fence, but I pretended they were my friends
I got my steamer, so tomorrow is the day! I said an hour a week, and it runs for 45 min, so that means one of those nasty jobs a weekTexts cost me 15 cents coming and going, so I don't prefer them all the time, but I love to hear from you gals when you are on vacation

Tell Lauren to "break a leg" (wierd theatre saying) and enjoy! I couldn't help but laugh:

2. Because it sounds like my days sometimes with my grandkids. It is so hard sometimes.

Debbie, IKWYM about the nails on chalkboard. Londynn has been so whiney this week, and then if she isn't crying, Myles does something to make her cry. TGIF!

Yeah Tammie..that is like every day in my house and boy my son is just killing me lately!

We're leaving this time tomorrow. I'm doing Nicolas a Birthday shirt 11th hour.

Um - dr good. Said not to worry about the flu unless directly in path of person sneezing. FYI.

BP was still high, so I'm on meds. It was lower 160/105 - so it is the decongestants but since I'm going to be gone for a week he wants me on it just to be safe.

I'll be thinking of you all and send you a text when I get there.

GREASEl went really well last night. Lauren had a blast and did really great. She loves being on stage! Ex was there with family. Awkward encounters were avoided. I pretty much hung out with Lauren's friends' moms; he sat off to the side with his family; doesn't really know ANYONE because he's never around her school. But my friends were funny - they all stay circled around me like lions protecting their cub.

And did see the ex's new wife. She's fat and ugly.

Have a great day everyone. Probably won't be back on until tomorrow after everyone leaves.

I am presently po'd at husband. He is already getting mopey and annoying about our trip in September. Sometimes it feels like the things that make me happy, even if it is just a vacation, just give him more fodder to be a wet blanket. I found a really cute, unique, little Mickey head outfit on eBay last night and then found a matching hair bow and was so excited in a silly way over it. He promptly gets surly and says 'I don't know why she needs that. Why do we always need more crap?'. It's $20....I can resell it...WTH? *sigh*

Anyway, hello to all and have a great weekend. It's looking like it might be a bit frosty here in the Atlanta suburbs. :

Good Sunday Morning girls!!!!! It has been one heck of a week and I have missed you all soooo much. I can't believe I missed Kara and Lorrie leaving . I hope you girls are having a blast.

Well the in laws are here for one more week and then they are leaving. Things have been a bit crazy with them and I am glad to see them go.

Planning Luca's 2nd birthday and I am so sad that he is 2 already.

Also Mike may be loosing his job. He should be okay finding something new, but who knows.

His AUNT is NOT coming to stay with us another issue that I am glad about. His family didn't want us to take care of her. Oh Well.

I have missed too much to catch up so maybe someone can speed fill me in?

Jenn, IKWYM about your DH. That's why we share our planning here. They don't get it. Mine can be so negative too. He did learn that all my research on the DIS helps alot when we get there, so he respects the DIS, but he can be scroogish about the money I spend, too!

Well Jillian, maybe it's better you won't have the aunt - you may be in for some changes. I'm sorry about Mike's job. I hope he finds another one quickly.

Let's see, not a whole lot has happened. Jenn is new here, fits right in - has two little ones who make messes and drive her crazy right now.

Debbie is doing her own version of Clean Sweep, and I'm holding her to it!

I got a new steam cleaner and Debbie is holding me to getting some yucky jobs done!

Have a great time! I'm off to church and then I really need to work today. I cleaned my shower for an hour yesterday! The doors tracks were really bad - I didn't even realize how bad they were. Then I did the rest pretty quickly. Really love that steamer!

hi there-- just got back from the airport. it was tough not to just jump on plane to FL. Okay so it would have been tough to do with 2 little kids but yeah I'll just keep dreaming. Tim will be back on Friday. I'm on to swine flu watch. Beth has come down with a bad cough and a fever but Katie has had cold for the last 2 weeks but I am over paranoid about the flu.

I'm headed outside to get fresh air and take a break by the pond. Both girls are napping.....

Just stopping in for a quick HI! Family has come and gone; Lauren is at her last performance of GREASE and Amanda and I are home snuggling. Whewwww!

I'm glad family made the trip up - it meant alot to Lauren. BUT - my god, my parents drive me wacko! My dad especially! I don't seem to do anything right. It's not like he criticizes WHAT I do - just makes these small comments....my toilets don't flush right; my paper towel holder is on the wrong side of the sink; my AC vents are too loose. Mind you, he criticizes but doesn't offer to "fix" anything. On top of that - they were here for less than 24hrs and yet he still had to bring HIS coffee; HIS potato chips; HIS breakfast muffiins; AND, this is the best - he refuses to drink wine out of a wine glass - prefers a JUICE glass but yet complains I have the wrong juice glass so HE BRINGS HIS OWN!!!

My brother and his wife totally sympathize with me - we all think he's just a PITA but my mother just wants us all to excuse his behavior and deal with it. It's just very grating. Add to the fact that they don't help with Amanda and therefore I just don't want to hear any B****ing about anything else! KWIM?

Anyhoo - they are gone and I am now enjoying a nice glass of wine!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I'll try to come back on later. Lauren is at her cast party until 8pm but then she wants us to watch JONAS - we missed the premiere last night on the Disney Channel and she's dying to see it. Lord help me! I have a feeling episodes of this show will be occupying ALL of the space on our DVR!

Ok - I'll stick around for a little while........

I've gotten a couple of texts from Kara: she and Lorrie met up -very cute pic; she also sent me pix of beer from Rose & Crown - so jealous!; and Jeff was picked as "that guy" in Monsters Inc.! Can't wait to see and hear the story with that!

Sooo as for meeting the ex's new wife - we didn't really meet; my ex kept her far away. I just saw her from afar. Ewww. And Jenn - I joke but in all honesty, the girl is skin and bones. Like really unhealthy skinny. But she's now pregnant so she looks like a twig with a pea stuck to the side of it. The ex's parents were there. They are divorced; mom is remarried to a BOY the same age as her youngest son! I don't get it at all - it's not like she's a "hot" older woman or anything. Just very weird. The dad is nice enough but the mom has hated me ever since the day we first started dating. She came no where near me. Oh well - no big woop. They all ignored my family when they were there though - which was fine with them. Lauren seemed fine with everything. She really couldn't be bothered with the ex's side of the family. She said she could see US from the stage but had no idea where her dad and his family was - and didn't care. Again - her father makes no attempt to ever be involved so when he finally shows up for something, it really doesn't mean much to her.

I just realized I never uploaded any pix from the Bat Mitzvah we went to a few weeks ago. Think I'll go do that now! I'm bored.

Sorry - I keep forgetting to answer this. She didn't really have a big part. She was one of the angels in the Beauty School drop-out number - that was a big deal. She was one of the girls that had to physically carry the Teen Angel out on some type of throne. She was also in the Hand Jive scene at the prom - was front and center for that one!; Summer Nights; and We Go Together.

MY DH is the king of "whatever"! Drives me crazy! I can do just about anything and he really doesn't care. Of course, sometimes that works in my favor

Since he's a whatever kinda guy, all the planning and worrying is my job. I'm glad I found this thread and there are other people out there like me!

I do have a question for you guys - I have "searched" the boards and can't find if anybody has ever posted a packing list. Kinda like the ones you see for cruises, the ones with the extra stuff people pack and can't live without.

Any help would be appreciated.
