Hey all you Easterners! Disney productions on Broadway are having a "kids go free" sale - tickets available for 9 days - Jan-Mar performances - here's the link:

http://disneykidsgofree.com/

Glad to see they are doing this - Broadway is in SERIOUS trouble right now. Fortunately, one of the things my ex is good for is that he takes the girls to NYC about 2x/yr. and they always catch the latest Disney broadway show. They've seen them all; I'm glad because I certainly can't affort to take them!

Kara - That's such a sweet story about Ally! She really is a doll! I mean this seriously - Lauren still talks about meeting you guys, and how much she thought you were hyterical and Ally was adorable! I think our girls would have had a good time hanging together!

I am killing time until Lauren's b-ball practice at 8 tonite. Amanda is sleeping and Lauren is, as she puts it - "getting her groove on" - dancing to her music in Amanda's room right now. Amanda has a Bose cd player - sounds awesome!

Rudolph is on tonite! I love watching the Christmas specials on tv - although I think we have every single one of them on DVD!:santa:

And.......the Rockefeller Center tree gets lit tonite! Aaah - memories! I used to work right down the block and would join the masses crowded onto 50th street to watch the lighting. So pretty! Too bad the years I went I never got to see this wonderfulness..............

WooHoo! They will be performing tonite!:yay:

(I know - I need to get a life -- or therapy!)

Kara- Ally is just too cute! I made cinnamon rolls last year and they were just the quick ones with pre-made bread dough. I would love to have your cinnamon roll recipe.

Tammie- I am going to make that strata for Brunch with the cinnamon rolls. I wonder if I can make them both the day before?

Cammie- :lmao:

Debbie- I have been trying to limit my computer time too. So much to do.

Cammie......are you drunk posting??? No seriously...when are we going to do drunk posting again!!!!

Kara, your Ally is so sweet! She has a good example!:lovestruc I don't have much decorations to post this year - we decorated, but left most ornaments off the tree - only unbreakables this year with two 1 yr olds running around - it looks a little bare - then Mark put the nick nacks out, so it looks pretty good, but no creativity or anything. We put new lights up, but very simpe.

We do have a beautiful Nativity that DMIL gave me one year - maybe I'll post that.

Hi everyone! I'm fried tonight, so I'll be back around tomorrow!

Hiya all -

Kara - Ally sounds like a very lovely young lady, it's great when good parenting shows through in such a nice way!!!

Debbie - we do decorate a bit over here - but not so we need our own power feed like we see in photos from over there sometimes. We put up some lights outside, hang some stuff inside, make paperchains with the kids to hang in swags across the ceiling... but then there's the tree!!! That is my BIG thing..... Our living room is only 26 foot by 12 foot - we eat, watch tv, play, do crafts etc in there (or in here- I should say) and one end is ALWAYS full of tree over Christmas. We go for a Norwegian fir tree and decorate it in a multicoloured type way- the kids stuff takes pride of place.... Hubby's parents are very (anally!!) themed with ONLY red and gold on their tree - very pretty, but seems a bit soulless sometimes...

Oh, and does anyone have some proper MAN candy - these boys are way too saccharine sweet for me...

Tessa

I am insulted on so many levels..................:snooty: !

I've already been down the "proper man" route; I'd like to try something different the second time around!;)

Y'all are cracking me up! :rotfl2: Cammie, I watched the JB last night (after the Rockefeller Center Christmas, they were on the Grammy Nominations show) and I noticed something. Joe has really big feet! :rolleyes1

Thank you all for the kind words about Ally. She really is a very caring little girl. Cammie, I had told her all about Amanda, because she's never met anyone like her before and I didn't want her to be afraid, or or insensitive, and I think she was really bummed that she couldn't meet her. I think she would've walked right up and hugged her!

I would love to spend more time with you sometime! I'm sure the girls would have a blast! Ally loves hanging with the big girls, and Lauren seemed so sweet with her. Like I tell people, I could've spent all afternoon at Pecos Bill's with you - felt like we were just old friends catching up!

Jillian - I'll get that cinnamon roll recipe and post later today. It is truly wonderful, but a lot of work. I've made them the night before, and then popped in the micro the next morning and iced while they were warm.

Kara - I know, I felt bad not having Amanda with me that day. I would have loved for you guys to meet her. But, on the flip side, I was glad to be able to do MK with just Lauren for a few hours - we were able to do alot together!

This just means you'll have to meet us down there again next year. I'm already planning on booking the first week of Dec.2009. And, I agree, I think Lauren and Ally would have had a blast together. Lauren plays well with kids of all ages so I'm thinking those two would have bonded immediately!

Don't worry Cammie, great minds think alike (inappropriately!) - why do you think I said that? :rotfl2:

Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls Recipe #76864
These are THE BEST cinnamon rolls! The recipe is from Todd Wilbur's MORE TOP SECRET RECIPES. Ooooey, goooey and rich! The dough can easily be prepared in your bread machine, just follow your manufacturer's order of ingredients. I put the ingredients in the night before, and then roll out and bake in the morning.
by Lightly Toasted
1¼ hours | 1 hour prep

SERVES 12

1 (1/4 ounce) package dry yeast
1 cup warm milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup margarine
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
4 cups flour
FILLING
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/3 cup margarine, softened
ICING
8 tablespoons margarine
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
For the rolls, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk in a large bowl.
Add sugar, margarine salt, eggs, and flour, mix well.
Knead the dough into a large ball, using your hands dusted lightly with flour.
Put in a bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place about 1 hour or until the dough has doubled in size.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface, until it is approx 21 inches long by 16 inches wide.
It should be approx 1/4 thick.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
To make filling, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
Spread the softened margarine over the surface of the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the surface.
Working carefully, from the long edge, roll the dough down to the bottom edge.
Cut the dough into 1 3/4 inch slices, and place in a lightly greased baking pan.
Bake for 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
While the rolls are baking combine the icing ingredients.
Beat well with an electric mixer until fluffy.
When the rolls are done, spread generously with icing.

Thank you Kara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a must see!!!!!!

Ok - I think I just wet my pants!:rotfl2:

I've seen this before - Jay Leno put his face in it one night. I like this version better!

And Kara - I did get this email. But I'm so cautious about opening things I don't know; I saw JibJab - had no idea what it was so I just deleted it!:upsidedow
