Hi Ladies! So glad Cammie and Kara had a great time. It is really too quiet without them here! We are still on the same page as when Kara left!

Jillian! You are really getting into the holiday mood early! I am just starting to think about shopping and baking! :santa:

We had snow last week, and it's been in the 60's with sunshine this week! So maybe you girls will get some warmer weather next week?:confused3

We usually have some warm fall weather up until Thanksgiving, then a huge snowstorm just when people are traveling.

We are getting our new stove tomorrow! I'm a little worried, cuz Jim pulled the old one out, and I hadn't really noticed, but the tile is cut out around the bottom, and it was standing on tile backboard :scared1: I hope the new one fits correctly into that spot!

See you all tomorrow!

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!

And I'm EXHAUSTED!!!! I sent two VERY unhappy girls off to school this morning. And, of course, I rubbed it in their faces that I was going back to bed!

Anyway, I can't wait to share the details of our trip. We had such a great time - and I have over 500 of my own pix to share plus the photopass pix. The highlight of the trip though was finally meeting the lovely Miss Kara! What a hoot! Truely Kara - you, Jeff, and Ally are so nice! Lauren loved your accent and thought Ally was adorable. (and I think she was a little relieved to see that these Disboards people I talk so much about are normal and fun!;) ) I wish we could have spent more time together! And.......we never did have that drink together! Just another reason to plan another meet!

Anyhoo -- I'm going to try and get a few more hours of sleep. Then I'll start downloading pix and will start my trip report. I do have a picture of Kara and I, which I will try to post later if she doesn't beat me to it! It was so much fun being able to text with some of you while I was down there. And I apologize to those of you that didn't hear from me; when I got to Disney, I realized the only cell phone #s I had on my phone were Kara, Debbie, Jillian, and Renee. So I didn't leave anyone out on purpose - just didn't have your number. Sorry!

Have a good day everyone and I will be back later!

Cammie- Can't wait to hear how the trip went so much fun. Get some sleep I am sure you need it. I bet the cold was awful when you got off the plane.

Tammie- I am putting the tree up for Luca my mom has hers up and he loves it. My Dsis (14) is big into XMAS. Halloween stuff came down and she put the tree up on her own. Also it is getting so cold here Mike is putting up the lights outside even though I won't turn them on until after Thanksgiving.

So My trip is paid for and I will have that $200 gift card to spend while I am down there. I am not sure if I should book a breakfast or 2 or if I should use it for Drinks and give the kids $50 to use on something they want?
Also I am sending Luca's Stroller Sign to staples and I think I am going to make Tabitha an autograph book, but do you guys think she is too old? So many things to do I also have to order shirts from Jiffy to have them ready to go. Oh My!

Hi Ladies!!!!
Welcome back Cammie!!!!!!!
Off to the dentist!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Sorry I haven't been around all day. Life is just not letting me sit at the computer and go through my 535 pictures from Disney. I did manage to get a few over to photobucket.

So..............drumroll please................the picture you've all been waiting for....................Kara and I!!!!!!

Welcome Back, Cammie! We missed you! :grouphug: I can't wait to read all about your trip! You and Kara look like you were having a great time - I'm jealous!

Jillian, you're never too old for an autograph book at Disney! :goodvibes Whoo Hoo for having your trip paid off!

No stove yet...since I didn't hear from him on my cell, I called the Sears - "oh, he's been trying to call you." it turns out he called the wrong cell #. Oops. Oh, here they are!   I'll be back later!

Great pix Cammie!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with the stoveTammie!

Okay, I'm back. Stove's in - I really like it - except on of the burners won't light, so I'll have to have them come over and fix it - always something!

OK, just got on now for the first time since I got back - work is crazy since I was off on Friday, so I'll just reply to some posts page by page before I begin the photo onslaught!!!!

Where's Cammie with the man candy? Oh Yah, you're one of the man candy posters - bring out a pic!

Kara, aren't alot of the foreign cars made here? Seems to me I saw that Toyota was. :confused3 And thanks for not touching the Mercedes! I do hope that things get better soon. Your plan sounds like a good one. I think the media can accomplish anything they want!

Oh, and have a great time!

NOw I know what you're talking about!!! My thought is that if we send the foreight car manufacturers that compete with the American Big 3 back to their own countries, the American car companies would then have more jobs to offer so I don't think we'd lose jobs that way. As for Mercedes, BMW, etc, that is a different market altogether and the Big 3 don't have anything to compete with that. It's the Accords, and Civics, and Altimas that frustrate me. But I don't hate y'all that drive foreign cars. ;)

Hiya all,

Debbie - the red eye is good! Shows her retinas are fully developed! If you get white reflections when you use the flash it can mean something sinister....

We have our "children in need " charity day at school today - so the kids do fancy dress (Kim Possible and Hermione from Harry Potter ) soooo much hair styling to do before school!!!! aaarrggghhhh.... They have all sorts of games that they have to pay a nominal amount to take part in too, so had to take low denomination coins to school too - too much to remember first thing in the morning..

Got to go supervise them at lunch now - dressed as a chef from Ratatouille..... well, dressed as a chef - the kids can decide which one they think I am...

Tessa

Tessa, you are so involved in your girls school - that's awesome!!! Ally's teacher just sent out an email that they are inviting parents to Thanksgiving dinner at the school this Thursday. I hate to NOT go, but it's so hard to get away all the time. And I don't want Ally to NOT have me there, so I go. At the Veterans Day program last week, she couldn't see us in the audience, but we could see her looking toward the door, wiping her eyes. She was crying because she thought we weren't there. It was heartbreaking!!! I was just getting ready to go and tell her teacher to let her know where we were, when she caught us in the audience. I was practically in tears myself! Which is why I will go to the cafeteria Thanksgiving meal.

Kara, I wanted to apologzie - I missed the part about "Honda in Ohio" in your post, so that answers my "toyota" question. I shouldn't have tried to answer while tired.

I agree that there are lots of jobs in the US that are being outsourced to other countries - all of those trade agreements from 12 years ago really set all of that in motion. When is the last time we needed customer service and got someone who speaks English? (With the exception of your company, Kara) Those jobs belong here in the U.S. I mean, people in foreign countries have access to our credit card information! :scared1:

Again, have a great weekend and don't think about any of this while you're gone!

A guy I used to work with was a big conspiracy theory guy - he wouldn't give his SS# to the doctors office, or over the phone. Because he didn't want foreigners to have it? :confused3 He was nuts. Maybe I should start saying "No hablo Ingles" when I don't want to deal with my customer??? :rotfl2:

Laura - just skimmed this page - hope that the birthday party goes smooth.

Debbie :sad2: I went to see the bond movie, and there was a HSM poster there and guess who I thought about? :rotfl2:

The Bond Movie was amazing. What is best? My Step Dad took the day off to take me to a movie. Driving back, I realized that I have been so hung up on my guilt about my real dad, his illnesses, etc and my lack of visiting/calling. We talk now about 10 minutes a month. Very strained - but I have this wonderful man with no biological connection to me - who walked me down the isle, who took my sons first pictures, who has been there for EVERY special moment, who is the grandfather to my children that I always wanted for myself. I don't know, I've just had a moment to where I realized just how very blessed I am he is in my life. He's so very involved. He loves my best friend, knows my hobbies, my interests. My real father couldn't answer any of those questions for a million dollars even if he had his facilities. He elected not to attend my wedding so my SM wouldn't be mad my mom was there. SO, I decided maybe I am looking at this thing all wrong. Blood really doesn't make a dad. - You know?

So, I'm in an absolutely wonderful mood. I had a wonderful "date" today. Tomorrow is Nicolas' last soccer game. Trying to decide if we will do it in the spring. He is OKAY with it, but not nuts over it and let me just say, it is a PITA to do practice with Mia and then the games on Sats. I have to make a decision by tomorrow - it ends at midnight (registration). Words of wisdom? I had thought about just doing the open play at our YMCA instead.

I got to have lunch with my best friend today that has been having tyroid issues. There seems to be an enlargement, so that has been emotional, but we are hoping/praying for the best.

Well, that is my update. I am now what - 6 pages behind in reading. :sad2: I can't keep up sometimes, but I do think of all of you often.:flower3:

Renee - I think you're right on about your stepdad. Enjoy it! You're very fortunate to have him in your life so stop obsessing about your "blood" father. Of course you want to keep him in your life, but if your stepdad is the one who's there for you...... well, you know what I mean.

Hi Girls...weird here without Cammie or Kara isn't it.

Look, Cammie, they missed us!!! :rotfl2:

I am still on the mend. What ever virus this is it really attacks the lungs. It's exhausting when you have to strain to breath and you can't sleep because of the cough. Oh welll...it will pass.

I cleaned up a bit and now I think I will hop in the shower. I am a super busy day tomorrow but that's life, right!

Glad to see you Renee. Glad things are well and on the up swing. I'm glad you always find the time to check in!!!!

Hi Tammie, Laura, Tina, Mommyof3 (we don't know your name, right?),Jillian, Erin and Tessa...
MickeyMomof3 Did you know our friends Tessa and Erin live on the other side of the pond? Aren't we a cool thread! We have a friend in Hawaii too but she is MIA right now. She'll be back though.

Debbie, hope you're feeling better by now!!!

Hi Ladies! So glad Cammie and Kara had a great time. It is really too quiet without them here! We are still on the same page as when Kara left!

OK, now I'm getting a complex - are you saying I talk too much???? :rotfl2:

Hey Cammie! What accent???? I'm sure I don't know what you mean? :confused3 :rotfl:

There she is! Hi Kara - it's nice to have you back! Can't wait to hear about your weekend. I can't believe you girls didn't have a drink! It is hard to connect though. Debbie and I missed each other last year when we tried.

No complex needed, you just keep it interesting around here!

Hi Girls...Yeah the "bands back together"... we are all here again! Glad you girls had an awesome trip. Good luck jumping back into the real world where the magic is few and far between!
Ok I am just grumpy cause it's 20 degress here today and I am still coughing up my lungs.

Have a good one girls!!! I MUST clean!!!!!!

debbie you are I are in the same boat. I don't want to clean. Thanks for that e-mail too. We were never big gift card givers but that would really bit if you had a gift card and the store closed.

Hi all!

Glad to see Disney brought Kara's Sassy Back :rotfl:

@qfdE$$4$4$4zz;x;;;;;r;r;4 (; LOVE bADOOKIE)

Kara- I drive an Altima, but only because it was what we could afford at the time. They gave us a better deal than Dodge would give us. This time we are thinking about buying a Grand Caravan, but I have had such bad luck with American cars it really scares me (one caught on fire always maintained it's work, but it was a ticking time bomb and my K car dropped it's tranny on the highway.) So I bought a VW and that is where my love of cars will stay. I do buy American when I can.

Tammie- Glad to see things worked out with the Stove.

Well It is FREEZING here and I have to go run to the store. Also I am sewing a tree skirt the FIRST thing ever and I have had this machine since last XMAS.

Jillian - yea on the tree skirt! Post pics when you're done! My parents best friends gave Jeff and I an embroidered personalized tree skirt when we got married - it's got our names, and our wedding date. Once Ally was born I took it and had her name added with her birthdate - so cute!

What sass????? BTW, I think all K cars died on the road! :rotfl2: I had a Dodge Charger got to 130K miles but I NEVER took care of that thing! I finally sold it to some guy for $50 and he fixed it up for his son.

Then the first car Jeff and I bought together was a Dodge Stratus - it had over 180K miles on it when we got rid of it. Again, we're bad about maintenance on our cars, and when the head gasket went bad not once but 3 different times, we never got it repaired and it ended up blowing the motor! So we had 3 different motors in that car, but tht is the only thing and it was partly our fault.

We also bought a used Nissan Maxima that was trouble from day 1 - I think we only had it for about a year.

Now we've got a Buick Rendezvous and I love this car!!!! We just had a little work done but it's got 120K miles and runs like new. Love it!

Jeff drives the ugliest neon royal blue Ford 500 right now - but it's a company car and it's free. It could be neon pink and I wouldn't care!

Just started my TR on my other thread - but I'll post pics here too.

AND did I tell y'all I stepped on a water mocassin last week??? Yeah. Glamorous life in FL!

Ok, girls, I think I'm finally ready to sit down for a little while and give you the condensed version of how my week went. If you want ALL the juicy details, you're just going to have to head over to my trip report (which I haven't started OR named yet!)

Anyway, things went surprisingly well with my sister and her family. My nieces and nephew were soooo excited to have us there. And I know Lauren really enjoyed being able to do things with them. There were none of the issues like I had in NJ this summer. I actually was moving along pretty well with Amanda those first few days - was on time for things and when the kids went off to do something Amanda couldn't, we just went and did our own thing. My sister was quite a hoot! While she couldn't really help with Amanda, she made sure she got her included wherever she could. She was not shy about pushing people out of our way so the wheelchair could get up to things.

Now, my mother, on the other hand -- She is truly a lost cause and I have come to the conclusion that her brain is just not wired to think of Amanda as an actual person with feelings. Two incidents stand out: while waiting for the older kids to come off TestTrack, my younger niece was pouting because she couldn't ride it. My mom offered to take her to the gift shop to buy something and out they came with a CampRock pin. She was so excited to show it to me. Now, I'm sitting there with Amanda, who obviously couldn't go on the ride either and my mother got her nothing. I asked her where Amanda's CampRock pin was and she claimed to not know that Amanda liked it (as she's sitting there WEARING her CampRock t-shirt, which Jasmine had pointed out earlier at the princess breakfast!) She knows Amanda likes the Jonas Bros. - we listened to the cd the whole week we were together in NJ -- but the thing that gets me is that she is now mad at me for making her feel bad. Too bad! So on the way back to the resort, I stopped and bought the pin for Amanda myself. And wouldn't you know, that night on the way to MK, my mother had bought one and attempted to give it to Amanda. I told her "too late, I already bought one for her!" HA! Incident #2: my mom came into the Frontier Trading Post with Amanda & I. I was purchasing a few things and the register area was really crowded so I wheeled Amanda over to the corner where my mom was standing and said "I'll be right back; I'm just going to pay." Well, a few minutes go by and who do I see standing right next to me at the register? My mother? Where is Amanda, you ask? Over in the corner, by herself! My mother just walked away and left her there!!!!  I didn't even bother to say anything - it's not worth it; I just walked over and wheeled her back to me. I just basically ignored her for the rest of the trip - which, for them, was only two days. Anyway, I have more "mom" stories - my sister is furious with her also, but we'll save those for another post. For now, I'll keep this happy and fun and just move on with the pictures.....................

Ok - that's all for now. I've only gotten the first two days uploaded to photobucket. I need to move the rest over so I can start my trip report!

Hope you enjoyed the pix!

Cammie - great pix!!!! Why is it that Snow White as a character always seems to be the best? I have never been an SW fan, but I love her every time we see her at Disney, whether in a parade, a show, a character meet.

Love Amanda's nails!!! She got some spicy red goin on!
