YES, IT CAN!!!! I barely touched it! I ate the mashed potatoes and dinner roll, just played with the sweet potatoes, one bite of what they called stuffing, and the turkey? BLECH!!!!

We're pretty traditional too. Turkey and all the fixins for Thanksgiving, ham or turkey for Christmas day, but Jeff and I started an Olde English Christmas eve when we bought our first house - prime rib, and yorkshire pudding!

Then pork roast, black eyes peas and collard greens for New years (the black eyed peas represent coins and the greens represent dollars - supposed to bring luck financially). Think I'm gonna make a big batch and send to Wall St this year! :rotfl2:

Hi Quick fly by and I gotta run....

I just wanted to say HI to you guys. We are leaving tomorrow and I have been really busy geting ready. It was fun to see your pictures of your trip. I can't wait to be on our way. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Have an awesome trip!!!!!!!!
I've been over there! I'm a good DISbuddy!;)

How did I miss where this TR is? It's not in your siggie, right? I want to go look!!!!!!

Hiya all -just a fly by from me too.... great trippie Kara!!just popped over to take a look.

Well, hubby is over your side the pond this week - staying in Annapolis, working near Baltimore, flies back on Friday night. We are managing to miss each other's phone calls except for once this week too - that 5 hour difference really is a pain!!!! He finishes work at 7 - midnight here!!! phone just does not wake me - I need a LOUD one!!

Went to the dentist today with the girls - no out and out problems, BUT the dentist said DD7 is probably going to have overcrowding issues with her teeth - nothing will be done till she is 11 or older, but it did give me something to worry/obsess about......

My neighbour's 5 year old just had to have 2 ROTTEN teeth extracted - her mum gave her apple juice in her bottle for 2 years despite all the warnings we get over here not to do that!

Anyhow... got to go put the little darlings to bed....

Cheers,
Tessa

Hi Guys,
We are somewhere near Pittsburgh right now. We hit a big snowstorm in Erie but all is well now. We just fed the kids and now they are going to sleep. I just had to say hi. This is kind of fun typing as we drive down the freeway. My DH was given an internet card so he can work from Disney but right now I am using it while he drives. Anyway, just wanted to say hello...

MickeyMom- Have a blast and drive safe. I was thinking about getting one of those for our trip would have to see the pricing though.

sorry about the no turkey thing-- what nationality is Carlos again?
:sad2: Puerto Rican :sad2: His parents have been in the states for 15 years. WTH? No turkey... :sad2:

:thumbsup2 Hope you have a fantastic trip!!!!

Cammie - cool that Amanda got to ride TSM! I'm glad you get a guest assistance card. We used one with Jim's uncle when his foot was hurt - makes it so nice. Especially for you trying to maneuver the chair around!

Renee - NO TURKEY! :scared1: How is that Thanksgiving? :confused3 Maybe you should make a small one and just say you hope they don't mind, but you brought your tradition this time.... Sorry you are the maid at dinner!

MICKEYMOM! Have a great trip - bring back pics!

Hello everyone else! I have to get up and get going - I have to take Myles to preschool today, so I need to be presentable before Mark and Lindsay leave.
Oh I know. The maid part really gets to me. My MIL just can't do it, so I feel bad for her and do it all. No one else pitches in. At least one of her sons will help me a bit, but the three SILs (not my good SIL, the other 3) do nothing. My good one is a RN, so she works most holidays for the triple overtime. I'm always bring a sweet potato casserole and stick with that. :rotfl2: You think she'd get the hint that it is the only thing that is polished off!!!! :rolleyes1

Goodness, you on the road reporters. You make me feel so technolgically behind! :)

Okay, well, two days away from my escape. I'm hoping to make some cards and things to use as holiday gifts. Maybe a movie, but nothing I want to see - but sleeping in without a child bouncing on my bed at 6 am... :cloud9:

I've taken some Tylenol PM - getting sleepy so I'm turning in.

Kara & Cammie. I finished up 1 of my 2 online classes so I will be able to get back into your good graces in your TRs! :dance3:

What about the Lutefisk and Lefse? :rotfl2: I actually love lefse - my grandma used to make the best - but the Lutefisk - we'd go there for Christmas and the whole place smelled like fish! Not to mention the OYSTER dressing in the turkey! :scared1:

Renee - have fun! Would you like me to FedEx you some turkey??? If I were you I'd get a small turkey breast and take it over. I just can't imagine thanksgiving without it!

My mom used to make oyster dressing for my dad and uncle. My dad's family is from Minnesota so that must have been one of their things.

Jeff's maternal grandmother was 100% italian - they did smelts on Christmas Eve. Nasty little fish that they battered and fried and ate whole! Sometimes Jeff's mom will make them, but I can't even look at them!

Jeff's great nana grew up during the depression so they leaned to eat EVERTHING! He would tell me stories about the things she made for them when he was a kid. Yuck!

Good Morning All I can't believe it is only 9:30am It has already been a long morning. I am trying to get the autograph books together, but it is hard deciding who's to use and how to print them. Should I just send them to staples to have them cut and put together? KARA HELP!!!!

Jillian - I bought cardstock 67lb, printed two to a page as 5x7's, then I cut them out - I used a big paper cutter that Jeff brought home from work the first time, now when I add a few pages, I just cut by hand. Be sure to leave about an extra inch on the left side or whatever side you're going to use to bind them.

Then I hole punched and used ribbon to tie them together. I used a black polka dot for my nephew and a pink ribbon for Ally. Cheap, and looks great. We get so many great comments from the characters! Tink couldn't stop flipping through it - she was amazed!

Anastasia (at 1900PF) complained that it was a bad picture of her! :rotfl:

I used chaoscent's autograph pages. http://s226.photobucket.com/albums/dd181/Chaos1Cent/?start=0

Jillian - photopaper won't hold the autograph - try cardstock - doesn't have to be too heavy. The heavier the paper, the heavier the book to lug around. Trust me, I know!!! It's soooo heavy!!!! But if it's too light, it can tear easily. I also picked up a small clipboard which makes it easier for the characters to sign. Then I carry the whole thing in a big ziploc so it doesn't get wet.

Check out donatalie's thread on the Creative DISign board, she can make a custom cover for Luca!

Hi Girls,
Well, my morning could have started out better. For one I always love when the weatherman says "it will be unseasonably COLD! Well, my Mom got called down to jury duty in a not so nice part of the city. She already got out of one jury duty because of our vacation so she couldn't get out of it again. I had to drive her there in RUSH hour traffic which made a 20 minute drive take over an hour and now who knows when I have to go back to get her! So annoying! I mean, how come there are people who get called over and over for jury duty (like my Mom) and some people who never get called at all! Plus, there are court houses that are actually MUCH closer to our house. I mean, they had to give my 62 year old mother the courthouse in the worst part of town! I am so annoyed!!!!

Also, this week we all found out that one of Elizabeth's classmate's sister was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer. It is all VERY depressing and I can only pray that after the long battle they have ahead of them that everything will work out in the end. The poor little girl just turned 4.

Glad as always to see you are still checking in with us Renee!

Cammie......where are ya girl! Back away from the pictures!

Hi Tessa!
Hi Erin!
Hi Sewer!
