Good Morning girls the inlaws are GONE!!!!!!!! They are at my SIL and leaving for Italy tomorrow.:dance3::woohoo::cheer2::banana::banana:

Sounds like things are going great I am booking my trip this weekend and we have finally decided on the 8th to the 16th of October. :cheer2: We will be staying at French quarter.

I really wish I could go this week I am so wiped out from work and the inlaws I really need a break.

Well off to nap while we have no calls.

Hi all. I'm ready to be done. Tim will home tonight. Found out he's headed to CT next week. He's made quite the impression with the higher ups. Katie screamed for 25 min straight today. I thought I would go mad!! The house is pit. My parents are taking the girls to Brainerd for the weekend. I'm looking forward to taking tim out for his birthday and then on to star trek.

Is lorrie going to book the same week cammie is there? The weather can wear on little ones. I can't wait to hear from her.

Tammie have fun with all the new buttons on the washer.

Jillian - now that the outlaws are heading home, time for you to RELAX!!!! I think Mike needs to take you out for a nice dinner and drinks. Or maybe just drinks! :rotfl2:

Laura - funny, Brainerd is a town that I think my dad spent a lot of time in. At least it sounds really familiar. Glad that Tim is doing well with the company! You should be so proud of him! :thumbsup2

OK, here's the latest on the move. Turns out the guy that is there now is doing a good job. They are making tons of money, but corporate doesn't like him. He's a rogue agent. Doesn't follow corporate policy, etc. They like Jeff and know he could probably do even better, but it's not like when he came here and this place was in the crapper. He was nervous, but got it turned around in no time. With that site, it would be harder to improve it. So from a business standpoint, he's hesitant.

So I'm just hanging out, waiting for him to decide. Ultimately it's his decision, cause he knows I'm good either way.

Laura -
I am right there with you! I kept Ben home from pre-school yesterday because Emmie had a 'barfing incident' late Wednesday night and I was afraid he would carry our stomach bug (Ben and I have already had it this week) to school. He has been totally wild the past 2 days. My last nerve has been bounced on like Tigger on espresso. Will your parents take mine, too? I cannot imagine my inlaws actually taking my 2 more than 4 hours. My house looks like a rugby player's convention just visited, I've got an important audition on Sunday, and my throat is starting to get really scratchy....

Not a lot of help, but just know you are not alone!
Jenn

Laura - No, I'm there the first week of Dec - I think it's 12/5-13th. I'm not missing the Xmas decorations this year!

So guys - I'm in a major funk right now over something that's happened. And I'm mad at myself for letting it bother me as much as it is but I just can't help it.

Every year, Amanda makes something in school for me for Mother's Day. It's always so sweet and touching because of her limited abilities. I cherish these gifts so much and over the years her teachers have really put alot of thought into it. Well, this year Amanda has a MALE teacher and he's not very good at the sentimental stuff, KWIM? Anyway, yesterday Amanda came home with TWO gifts - one for me; and one for my ex's new wife!!!! I'm so hurt by this. I guess I can understand the attempt to acknowledge the woman, but the gifts are not personalized at all - each just has a post-it on it that says "Happy Mother's Day." Like we're interchangeable? This woman does nothing for my child and considering everything I've been through with Amanda, and continue to go through without her involvement, I just think it's really insensitive. I know I'm very territorial with my kids so maybe because of that, I'm over-reacting? But I can't help but feel slapped in the face and REALLY want to address this with the teacher on Monday. Am I being over-sensitive?

You don't have to agree with me to make me feel better because, honestly - if I'm over-reacting - I NEED to hear it so I can snap out of it. But I would just love to hear some unbiased opinions.

Oh, Cammie, I'm almost in tears for you! I totally understand but I don't think I'd say anything to her teacher. He has no clue what goes on behind the scenes. But you do. And that's really all that matters.

I don't think you're wrong for feeling hurt - I would too. But just know that YOU are Amanda and Lauren's mom. And they know it too. And I'll bet if Amanda could express herself, she would not have wanted to make anything for "that woman."

Cheer up - 8 days!!!!!

Cammie - "Good Morning, Good Morning"

Cammie, that stinks. I'm sorry. I don't know any of the background but I would be disappointed too.

OK, gonna make you laugh Cammie. Did I tell y'all that Jeff was "that guy" at the Monsters Inc show? Well, he was! Ally got the biggest kick out of it!!! They flashed on him at least 5 times during the show - soooo funny!

One time, the monster just casually said, "look, he's wearing a seatbelt" cause of this.....

P5030072.jpg

And he's got his sticker "I was THAT GUY at Monsters Inc...." on his pin thingy!

Oh, and Ally got to ride Cindy's horse on the carousel. We've tried before but someone else always gets it. Someone who doesn't even know what it is!!! So this time we knew where it stopped and BOLTED for it. And it was just like riding any other horse on the stupid carousel! :rotfl2:

Thanks Lydia. The background is your basic Lifetime Movie of the week. Just UGH all around. I just hate feeling like the perception is we're on the same level because we so clearly are not. Very frustrating.

Oh my Jeff! He's looking like quite the goober in that picture, Kara!:lmao:

And Lauren and I tried to find Cindy's horse last time - we were waaay on the other side. Made no difference to Lauren though.

All right - I'm headed out to the mall for some retail therapy. I have a ton of coupons to stores that the girls shop at so I shouldn't do too much damage. And I always feel better when I buy the girls pretty things. Yes - I have a problem.

I'll check back in later.

Also, I wanted to let you know that I treat my dad's relatively new wife with respect but she just gets a card on Mother's Day, my mom gets showered with presents!

Oh, and I meant to tell y'all this. I rarely complain when it comes to Disney but I was a bit miffed on our last day. During the parade.

We were standing next to some very obvious off duty CMs. We think they were probably costumed characters in the parade because every single costumed character came up to them and made a big deal out of them. They were sooooo obnoxious though! And not just because they were very, uh, how shall I put this - flamboyant? But because they SCREAMED at the characters - PLUTO, COME SEE ME BIG DOG! And stuff like that. If we hadn't been right there, we would've missed a lot of character interaction. I felt bad for the other side of the street - they got virtually nothing right where we were.

Just thought I'd throw that out there. It was two guys and a girl, and at one point, one of the Tweedles actually tipped his head up so he could be heard, and grabbed the girls head right by his face so he could say something to her. No child would know what was going on, but I have a feeling that this was not the Disney way......

Ugh! I just walked outside for the first time this afternoon and it is miserably hot!!! 94 with a real feel of 101! Ugh! But its actually showing a bit cooler in Orlando - I hope so.... for Lorrie's sake!

It was Tweedle Dum! He looked like he was trying to eat the chick next to us! Here he is going in.....

Ladies I need your help. So I priced out Disney with the AAA travel agent for the week I chose and she said it is more expensive than the week we were going to go in Sept. $300. So I need to know what the weather is like Mid October and what you girls think the crowds will be like!:upsidedow

One week from tomorrow-WEEEEEEEEEE!

I hear it is ridiculously hot there right now. Hard to imagine when I am sitting here in 50-degree weather!

ONE WEEK!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana: I didn't realize since we just met you! You must be so excited! What are your plans?

Hope you had a good nap:) Too bad you can't have a little get away this weekend.

I'm glad Tim is doing so well, Laura! Do your folks live in Brainerd? My cousin is living in a care home there - he has Down's Syndrome.

I am getting to know those buttons! I am enjoying my washer and dryer so much that I did all my laundry, then steam cleaned my pillows. I should start on the kid's clothes, but I'm not THAT ambitious:rotfl2:

Cammie, I feel just sick for you. I wouldn't tell the teacher, either. He probably thought he was doing something nice, and doesn't understand the dynamics - or that she is "hands-off."

Can I just say, EWWWWW. How weird. Sounds like they need a little supervision.

Ugh! I just walked outside for the first time this afternoon and it is miserably hot!!! 94 with a real feel of 101! Ugh! But its actually showing a bit cooler in Orlando - I hope so.... for Lorrie's sake!

Oh thanks for rubbing it in. :goodvibes We have sunny and 60. We'll go outside this afternoon, but with sweaters because the breeze is cold. I'll trade you!

It's too bad Lorrie doesn't do well in the heat. Neither does Jim. Our best weather for him has been Oct or March. Carlos must be enjoying Disney after all or they wouldn't have booked the bounce back!

Okay, I have both kids asleep, I'm going to try to take a nap, my leg hurt so bad I couldn't sleep last night. I stopped taking my leg vein formula:headache:

Kara - I have to tell you - I've seen this happen too and you know what? These people were watching the parade in the wheelchair viewing section! They were clearly off-duty CMs because they were talking to the cms monitoring the area; when the parade started, they would yell to get the attention of characters in the parade. I was annoyed because I felt like it was taken the attention away from Amanda and the other kids in that section. But I didn't know how to complain about it.
