We're baaaaaack!First of all Tessa - we had a Cuddles guinea pig too!!!!!* Actually, my sister did.* Then a few weeks later Cuddles presented us with Lenny and Squeaky (Squiggy turned out to be a girl!) - does this tell you about the time we had these pigs?* Great pets! Fun to take out and let run around the house, gentle, teaches responsibility but not so small and rat like which is what hamsters remind me of.* And they will learn to squeal when the hear the refrigerator door open if you feel them lots of carrots and lettuce.* OK Debbie if these are legitimte codes what is the problem?* I don't get it!!!* But I'm all about saving money any way you can.* And yes I do "cheat" from time to time.....Now on to my trip tales.....So on the way up y'all know about all the horrendouse traffic - the snowbirds heading back home, plus some spring breakers heading home, too.I really thought last week was the "big" week for spring break.* I was wrong.* The entire state of Michigan must be on break this week, because I swear I saw EVERYONE from the state on the road heading south on Friday.* Actually traffic wasn't too bad, at least we weren't really slowed down.Until Saturday.* We got a late start on Saturday cause Ally would not get out of bed!* She was exhausted!* So by the time we ate and got on the road, it was 9:15.* We got through Charlotte just fine on I-77, but by the time we got to Columbia, SC, and were getting ready to get on I-26, I called Jeff and told him to find me an alternate route.* It was bumper to bumper traffice and we were going between 50-60 mph.* I knew that when we got on I-95 it would be just like Christmas all over again (making a 6 hr trip in 10 1/2 hrs).* So he found me a direct route through some back woods towns in SC and GA. I know that I beat anyone who was traveling I-95, and in fact this route was probably only about 1/2 hr longer than going interstate.* And I have some "interesting" photos that I took along the way.* Queue Deliverance music now.....Happy Easter everyone!!!!* Today the Easter bunny brought Ally a new Webkins, a stuffed bunny, flip flops, and of course candy.** I got a Webkins too - my first......* Tonight the IT dude from Jeff's corporate office is coming for dinner.* He's been in town since Thursday, from Dallas, and isn't leaving until next week.* He booked this trip and didn't realize it was Easter weekend - so I insisted that Jeff have him over for dinner.* Poor guy, away from his family this weekend......Needless to say, as tired as I am, we've been frantically cleaning house.* Jeff thinks he cleaned it while I was gone.* He did the toilets and vacuumed.* Yeah, if only that were all that needed to be done to clean house......Have a great day everyone and don't eat too much ham!!!!
