I saw the post on the Transportation board. It didn't work for me..unless it's deducted after you put your card info in.

You don't see the price until after you choose the car you want....then it comes off.

Coupon - NF1982JDD.

Hi Everyone! Thanks for your good wishes. My throat is a little better today - did a presentation with no voice - that was fun! :thumbsup2 Now I am exhausted and achy. Guess I'm done for today.

Debbie! Just wanted to tell you since I saw you posting - the new products are amazing! The wrinkle filler pen - WOW!!! The make-up primer feels just like silk going on - you know how corn starch feels on your hands? That's how it feels. RElaxes surface lines before putting on your foundation.

I gotta go - eat dinner and take DH's cough syrup and go go bed - orders from headquarters :rotfl2:

We found a solution for bringing the car seat on board - we bought a two piece car top carrier - soft sided zipper bags - anyway one of them is like a large duffel on wheels. We packed the car seat for DGS last Summer and then packed other items in and around the seat - diapers, blankies, shoes. Of course we checked it as a piece of luggage - you would have to go on a carrier that lets you have two. Extra days at Disney

Hiya all,

Still suffering here - just shows doesn't it, it doesn't matter what country you live in you still get to catch a cold in the winter!!

We have less than 2 months to go now -so any tips on anything to pack that we might not even think about??

We made sure the mobile phone is set up for international use, and have told the credit card people too (here, they lock the card if unusual patterns are seen - a pain if you are in another country and you forgot to tell them - but good if someone clones your card...)

We are very aware of the fact we can get pretty much anything we need there if we forget anything, (except passports and tickets of course!!)so am just wondering if there is anything you would "not be without" for your trip?

hope you are all starting to feel better - I reckon I've got another 2 or 3 days of this...

Tessa

Tessa- Things I pack in my carry on are things I cannot live without.

Usually:

T shirt
Underclothing
socks
Hairbrush

I feel like I can wear the same pair of shorts, but the other things I will not wear 2 days in a row. Toothpaste etc.. you can always get at the store. As for the hairbrush I always forget to bring one with me so I am stuck buying one while we are there.

This is why I crave a WDW ticker....

Yeah...Jillian!!! Glad I could help. I printed the National coupon out. You can find it on the main home page. As for the "mystery code" I would subscribe to that thread to watch how it is working for people.

Is there some award for an 18-month-old thread with this many posts in it? :worship:

Seriously, I read the first several pages and glazed over with all the anxiety -- this kind of thing could be contagious! :scared:

Anyway, in case you're still getting the uber-commando urges, here's a tip (and I apologize if it was already given somewhere between pages 6 and 166): when you find yourself getting anxious about a situation, visualize a stop sign in your mind's eye. This is to break the cycle of worry/anxiety. Then, if it's something over which you have control, take positive action to rectify it. Flat tire? Get out and fix it. Kid threw up? Take a deep breath and clean it up (besides, you planned ahead for just this situation, right?). If, however, it's something over which you have no control (slow traffic, late airplanes, lost luggage), realize that getting angry or anxious will do NOTHING to resolve the situation -- in fact, may actually make it worse. Tell yourself that you did everything humanly possible to plan your event, and remind yourself that YOU ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THINGS NOT IN YOUR CONTROL (and this INCLUDES your family members when they disregard or fail to use your planning tools). Say this over and over again until you feel in control again.

I used to be a Type A traveler, making myself and all around me absolutely miserable at the slightest perceived mishap. I've gotten a lot better since realizing that I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THINGS OVER WHICH I HAVE NO CONTROL. In fact, I now chalk all mishaps and ill-timed events up to "the adventure of travel," laugh at misfortune, and press on to enjoy the rest of my vacation time.

Again, I hope this helps (or I apologize for being long-winded and repetitious). When I have more time (and I'm suitably tranquil), I'll read the rest of your thread.

Good Advice Larry! Some of our anxiety is real - but I think we enjoy the planning and have developed some close friendships through it all! Being moms, we totally know how to deal with vomit, and any other bodily fluids, and as for flat tires, that's why we have a DH! :lmao:

I learned alot last Summer about non-commando, and that your family will have a wonderful time, even if it is not quite the event you planned. But, if you don't let go a little, you won't have a good time! :thumbsup2 Please feel free to jump in any time!
