Hiya all,
just had to share - one of the little girls I supervise in my "dinner lady" job gave me a daisy chain necklace yesterday !!:cloud9:

I guess I've been "accepted"

Debbie - sorry to hear hubby's troubles are not responding, can't be much fun living with the worry of heart troubles and then for the meds not to be doing anything .....

Sounds like we all need one of those margaritas - I had one in London (well the planet hollywood version) and wow it was really nice - but my HEAD the next morning - ouch! mind you it was the first alcohol I've had since 2 Christmases ago...

Cheers,
Tessa

Margarita's......... YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!:drinking1
:beach: Hey, it's in the 80's here! Yippie!:yay: I love to hear "it's unseasonable warm"
Hope you are all well!
Congrats on the necklace Tessa!:teacher:
Hang in there Lisa!

I love to make Margaritas at home w/the TGI Fridays mix. They taste so good. We don't drink often but once in a while it is nice to have a drink and relax.

Tessa - I still have a ring and letters from the kids I helped out when I did assistant teaching in cadet teaching class. It is so nice when the kids accept you, isn't it.:goodvibes

Debbie - Did your DH have to go to the hospital for that? Even if he didn't I really feel for you guys having to go through this all the time. Hope it gets better.

Sewer how was WDW???? A fun day at EPCOT? Share with the group!

Hi everyone! I have been lurking a little - exhausted from getting into my new schedule of being at DS's house by 7:30am to babysit while they student teach. I am loving holding little Londynn, though! :cutie:

Debbie, so sorry DH is having troubles again. Hope you can get his meds adjusted. Thanks for the BOO! It was only 45 degrees here today - yes, that is F! Cold, Windy and rain! It is supposed to be 70 again by this weekend. That is life in the mountains.

Tessa, how sweet! Sounds like the kids really like you! :flower3:

I went shopping on Disneyshopping.com - great clearance stuff for the babies for next years cruise!

Okay, I am falling asleep while I type, so I'm going to say goodnight to my friends - GOODNIGHT! :upsidedow

Hope everyone is doing OK!
I am freaking out a little about Pam 2. She is MIA! I wish I had her phone #. I PMed and emailed her but have gotten no response. Very strange!

Hopefully I will be back later with an update from our end.

Debbie

Hey everyone! I am sorry I haven't been around...life has been so hectic lately! I've been really trying to get out and about more with the kids more because its getting a little easier since the baby is older. Thats part of the reason I haven't been on the computer as much.

I have to catch up on posts, but I did notice Debbies post about DHs afib...please pm me with the drugs and I will get you info on his meds.

Debbie....I'm so sorry about your DH's heart going into afib again! I'm a little late because I haven't been reading the boards too much lately. I hope the Dr.s can figure out what's best for him. Glad to hear it got better again though. That's got to be scary every time. Take care.

Hi everyone! Long time no post. It's just been so busy. My older DD who just entered middle school has project after report after project and homework. Dh's been working every weekend and a few late nights so he's beat as well. I sure hope some of this slows down soon!

What are you all up to?

Hi Pam & Maureen! Nice to hear from you guys again. We have been busy with fixing up our house. We went to Disney on Ice - Nemo on Friday. DD wants to go to anything Disney ever since going to Disneyworld. It was fun but I liked Monsters Inc & Princesses on Ice better. My sister just bought a kitten and now DD wants one. It is a very sweet kitten so I know why she now wants one.

Debbie - I don't know why but I am worried about Pam2, too. It has been so long since she even popped in to say Hi. It just doesn't seem like her.

I was trying to find a list of posts by Pam2 to see if I could see when was the last time anyone heard from her, but it won't bring that info up, even though it gives you that as an option. I am worried about her, too - she used to be quite chatty!

RE:Pam2
I am hoping her computer crashed. Otherwise what would explain it...? I think I PM'd her regular e-mail address too. I wish I had her cell number now like I have a few of yours. Wow, I can't imagine why this thread would worry, right!

We are all doing great! Elizabeth is adjusting to school nicely and I am very happy with the program. I still wish it wasn’t 5 days a week but what are ya gonna do. Park district classes started this week too so we are busy, busy. DD loves everything so far and DS has started speech therapy, which is actually just a fun playtime with a lot of language use. He just doesn’t talk enough yet. Those silly boys! They take forever! I am sure one day when he is talking my ear off I will laugh but right now I wanted to get a jump on it.

Our trip is coming around the bin. I will miss WDW in October but we wanted to try the MVMCP at least once. My Mom has been taking care of the ressies and has had some trouble but it’s a long story.

I better go! Hope everyone can at least stop by and check in! I worry about everyone when they don't post in a while. You know me by now though. I will just PM you until I get ya!

Hiya all,

we get disney on ice over here too - went to the Princess one last December over here, it was soooo magical - the kids loved the show (and the merchandising!!- buckets of popcorn - princess goblets of shaved ice etc).

Does anyone know what the High school musical on ice is like?? - kids are trying "pester power" at the minute.... but I'm not so keen - I don't think it would hold the same "magic" for them, but then again, they do still sing "sOARin, FLYin" etc so loud it could take my head off!!!

Also, does anyone know if just anyone can book a table at a Disney restaurant? or is it just resort guests? We are approaching the 180 day thing, but not sure if we can book anything anyhow....:confused3 Would be nice - we had a character meal at DisneyLand Resort Paris when we last went and the kids were "gobsmacked" (do you have that expression over there??) - absolutely open-mouthed in astonishment.

Well, aren't I in an inquisitive sort of mood today, I'd best leave it at that.
Cheers,
Tessa

Hi everyone!

We went to Nemo on Ice last June for my second sons birthday. It was pretty good!

My 2 older boys are about to finish their third term of school at the end of this week-we are all looking forward to that.

I am still spending hours on the disboards researching our trip. I hope I have everything straight before we leave :)

Yvette

Hi Tessa! I don't know about any "ice" stuff - live in the sticks.

But, I do think you can make ressies (ADRs) for dinners at WDW without being a resort guest. You can call 1-800-WDW-DINE, usually 6 months out. You will definitely want to do that for any character meals that you want. You may be able to reserve online - not sure.

Hint: you can dine with Cinderella at the GF - Cinderella's Grand Feast alot cheaper than Cinderella's castle - not the castle, but we got to meet the Godmother, the mice, Cinderella and the Prince, take pics and get autographs w/o the extra expense, w/o the calling at 4am and getting a busy signal for hours. We didn't get the extra souveniers but my niece loved it, and it was very nice. Some little girls wore their Cindy costumes to this one, too!

Happy Planning! That's what we do best!

Hi Yvette! When are you leaving again?

Hi Everyone, Glad to see ya Tessa, Tammie and Portia!

Good advice Tammie.

Tessa, we have tickets for HSM on Ice but it's not until January. Can not wait though!!!

I am pooped today (what's new). Got a lot done though.
Take care everyone!

Hi - need to vent. You all know we have a cruise for next Sept booked with our boys and their families. Well tonight, our youngest son called and said they won't be able to go with us due to their requirements for their Masters in Education that they will be working on next year. When we booked, they were so sure that their classes would all be on line - this is actually going to be hours of classroom each week, as well as 40 hours a week in student teaching.

So, now we need to either go without them - I think my oldest will vote for that, which makes me sad - or we need to find a date that will work for all - maybe a land and sea. I am really worried that this is going to cause tension for us again - everytime we try to get our family closer (the girls have been a problem) - something gets in the way. :sad2:

I feel like we probably shouldn't have made the plans without knowing for sure what was going on. Maybe we should just wait a year and see what we can do in 2009???? I just don't know. We can maybe plan to go separately with each of them, but what about the togetherness?

We did take the youngest to DL last year without the other two - so????

Okay, thanks for listening - just can't sleep and I needed to vent.

I feel bad for you Tammie but I don't know what you should do. Why don't you play around with some dates for 2008 and see what you can manage. If nothing works out then you should just keep this trip without young DS since you did do a trip with young DS without older DS. Have everyone send you the best times for them to go out of town and see if anything matches up. I feel bad for you right now. I don't do well with stuff happening like that either. Keep venting! Hopefully it all will work out.

Portia - Glad to hear from you. The planning never ends until the day you get there. Well, at least for my family.

Tessa - We also had to get the popcorn and a smoothie for DD. She didn't ask for any toys this time.:woohoo: It was expensive enough for the popcorn. The popcorn cost more than the smoothie.

Tammie - We love to go w/the whole family but I have gone w/just my sister and her son and also had a great time. I would try to get everyone to go at a different time of the year if you can persuade everyone else.

Debbie - Glad you guys are doing well. My nephew has been going to speech therapy for a while and boy does it help.
