Wow....the thread is slow and it's weird without Karas here at all. Wonder how it is going.

Laura..in case you check in again...HAVE A WONDERFUL trip!:goodvibes

I wasn't here to often today..
Kept busy finishing laundry, let the kids play outside, wiped DSs nose like a billion times, cleaned more of the house, etc. etc..
DH is going to be home any minute.
When I have been on the dis you can tell I have been nosey since I find at least one thread a day that gets closed

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi! I'm back! We had a great time at Mason's birthday! Everyone was fun and kind and there was no drama! There was a pinata for the kids, and they all took turns hitting it, and then they shared the candy really well! Mason gulped down his cupcake in 2 minutes! He had alot of fun, and wasn't overwhelmed by the crowd and commotion at all! I left the camera in the car - I'll try to download a couple of pics later - I know you've heard that before. :rotfl2:

That was good cake!

OMG - Tammie! Mason is such a cutie! Love the cupcake (was that a cupcake?) picture!

Well, good morning all! I wasn't able to DIS much yesterday either. Once Sunday rolls around, I feel guilty about all the things I haven't gotten done while the girls are at dad's, so I run around like a maniac trying to catch up! Makes me feel like a didn't waste the entire weekend!

I really have to focus on our Nov. trip this week. I can start to make my ADRs on Monday, the 12th, and I want to have a good game plan. Plus I'm going to need at least a week to get my sister to commit to plans also. This should be fun -- I'm a planner, she's not! Regardless, I'm so excited! I love planning my Disney trips!

Will check in later. Have a great Monday everybody!

This is Kara, coming to you LIVE from WDW!!! Woo hoo! We made it - got out on time yesterday, but of course someone forgot to fill with gas before they got to our house so we had to stop for that. Got to POP around 10:00 and we were stepping off the bus at Epcot at 11:00. We are in the 90's section at POP, sooooo far from Classic Hall. Laura, if you read this, bring sunscreen for that fair Minnesota skin! It feels VERY hot on the skin now!!!! And I live in FL!!!!

OK, lunch at Garden Grill was great - wonderful character interaction with the kids. Inlaws and outlaws loved it. I'm a hero!!! :rotfl2:

Funny story. We're riding The Land. MIL says, "I remember when this ride was at Magic Kingdom (hey, she got the park name right!). It was in Futureland." WTH???? DH and I just laughed.

Pic of DD and I "living with the land we all love......" Sing along!

Today is AK - DD is soooo excited to ride EE today. She was too short last time we were here.

I got my fridge for the room and it's filled with everyone else's stuff. I packed some diet coke in BIL's car and it's still there. Nice. I'll get the fridge through the fridge swap and my stuff isn't even in there.:sad2:

OK, couple more pics. DD and nephew with Chip...

DD and nephew with Nana and PapPap. OK, gotta go - DH is getting out of the shower and will kill me if he catches me DISing!!!!

Until later!!!!!

Kara - You rock! Thanks for checking in and glad to hear Day one was a success! Looking forward to hearing more!

BTW - the shirts looked great!:thumbsup2

So I'm still hear lurking. Babysitter called this AM and her dd3 is sick so I'm home with the girls. I tell DD8 that I'm home today and she says, good because I still don't feel good - my stomache. Great. She hasn't felt good since we hit VA on the way back from Disney weeks ago. I'm wondering if I should bring her back to the dr. They've already said she has bronchitis, but what else could it be?

Well it gives me a day to either pull weeds or make her purple daisy sunshirt..I'm still no sure what I'll do today.

Hiya,
Tinalala - bronchitis can make your stomach ache - the deep cough uses muscles you never knew you had - and all the goopy stuff you cough up can make you feel ill in your stomach too - I remember it from my childhood - luckily I seem to have "grown out" of bronchitis and other resp infections. Well, at least that's one good thing about growing older!!! The rest of me is falling apart....:lmao:

Kara - can't believe you got away with DISing WHILE YOU ARE THERE!!!! but well done!!

Got to go order groceries, thank goodness they deliver - but how do I put them away??? My back is bad from too much gardening- pulled a muscle and in agony.....

p.s. that is a VERY cute baby!!!!! love the pics

Tessa

Kara!!!!!!!!!!!! You DO rock! Love it!!!! I am so glad you are having so much fun so far. Looking forward to you sneaking in more. PS I love the shirts too and you and DD are so cute!

Tammie..I am glad the day was so special. Love your pix too. He is a cutie!!!! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Cammie!!! Glad you got work done. I seemed to make a dent myself.

Hi Tina...Glad you are still with us. Hope DD feels better and Tessa is right about all she said. Have a good day off.

Tessa...sorry about your back! Bummer!! That has to stink. Are you back to normal yet. I am gonna go check your TR for the updates later. Thanks for sharing your trip too.

Hi Everyone! Sounds like your week is off to a great start!

TEssa: Sorry your back hurts - I did some yard work, too - the back of my legs were sore yesteray :) Hope it feels better really soon.

Kara! Love it! Glad you're having fun and thanks for "sneaking" in! The shirts look great!

Tina: Glad you're around today - hope DD is okay.

Cammie: You get to plan your trip!   It is hard when your family doesn't want to plan. I just told my DSIS that if we wanted to have a good time and be able to do anything, we would have to have a plan, and to trust me. It worked out for the most part. If she doesn't want to have a plan, will she let you be her tour guide?

Debbie: Good Morning - hide the cereal boxes! :rotfl2: One thing I thought of, do you have your kids help clean up the messes they make? I learned in a positive parenting class that when they do things like that they are getting something out of it, even if its negative. So, you don't react, you just say, "you can have your popsicle after this is all picked up." and give them some direction - even the 2 yr old can help. I had to do that with my DS24 after the younger one was born. He would dump plants, throw food, tear up newspapers, smear poop in his bedroom :scared1: Anything to get attention away from the baby. It really worked. It got worse before it got better, but once he learned that nothing exciting was going to happen, and he would have to clean it up, he quit doing it.

And that's my friendly grandma advice for the day! :rotfl:

Have a great Monday everyone! :grouphug:

Thanks for the advice Tammie. Something to definitely work on.

DH is off of work today and driving me nuts! He just throws the whole routine off and he becomes more of a hinder than helpful. He did bring DD to school this morning but then there was an issue with the teacher and now I wasn't there to talk to her about it. I will talk to her at 11. I guess. Here's what happened....I asked last week if DD could bring her hermit crab to school this week. Well, she must have thought I was kidding or misunderstood me or something because DH said she asked DD like 3 times..."why did you bring your crab to school?"
So...I am sure DD was embarassed...I know DH was but I know I mentioned this last week. Oh well. We will see what she says at 11.

Question of the day...
Will DH EVER say..."do you need me to do anything for you today?"

Tammie- I love those pics of your munchkin. He is just too cute.

Debbie- DH's always throw the routine out of whack. I can't stand it DS always is out of sync naps late etc....

Tina- I hope your DD gets better. I would call the doctor. Bronchitis can turn very fast into Pneumonia it is true you use your stomach muscles to get all of that mucus up. Sometimes they can help offer some advice or a new perscription.

KARA- I love your pictures I am so glad everyone is having such a good time.

Cammie- We just got our list of dining ressies together last night. I will type them out with times we would like and save them for 5/31

Kara - you do ROCK! :cool1: Tell DH to take nice LONGGGG relaxing showers, and post more when you can! I do hope you have a wonderful time!!!!!!

Tammie - SUCH A CUTIE!!! Looks like a wonderful time too. Our party was good. It was a good party day! DS was a little moody, but that is how it goes!

Debbie - Thanks for the emails - and no you aren't a bad mom. I could "DITTO" everything you said, let me see, color the carpet, color the walls with the NON WASHABLE CRAYONS THAT I KNEW BETTER ABOUT, playdough in the rug, toys broken, glasses broken, trash dumped.... You don't need supernanny, you need to give yourself a break. Only Cammie is superwoman! :lmao:

Cammie - HI! I have a few "D" members of my family too...:rolleyes1

Jillian - yep, feeling MUCH better. I may need some adjusting down, but I think this is doing the trick! :thumbsup2

Everyone else: HI!

Busy, trying to recoup from all the people over. LOTS to clean, bills to pay, that sort of stuff. It is BEAUTIFUL here! VERY NICE! We'll probably go outside for a while too. Got my mom a purse for Mother's Day. I suck with suprises, so she already has it. :cool1: She seemed to like it though. This weekend is our anniversary, and get this - DM & DSF are keeping the kids overnight :cool1: SO, WOO-HOO! I went shopping and bought a new outfit, I"m getting excited! This will be the first time DH & I haven't had at least one kid since DD was born!!!! Needless to say, I'm blowing you guys off Sat :lmao: But I will probably be around FRI if anyone else is...

Have a good one everyone! Catch you later!

Oh, one last thing...

I just remembered we have that $150 airline credit through next April. What about going Mid-March since Easter is in April? Would it be really crowded from spring break? DD would be turning 2 and we could do her birthday there, or go a few days before and she'd be free on the airline. It wouldn't be a big savings, but about $150.

The only thing I'm worried about it is it might be a little chilly. We would be in the park mostly open till 1, then maybe 5-7 or something like that.

Hey Tina! Glad to see you're still out there! Hope your DD is feeling better! Thanks again for the postcards!(hope you got my PM!)

Got to go order groceries, thank goodness they deliver - but how do I put them away??? My back is bad from too much gardening- pulled a muscle and in agony.....
Tessa

Tessa - Methinks you need another vacation!;) Seriously, hope your back is feeling better!

Cammie: You get to plan your trip!   It is hard when your family doesn't want to plan. I just told my DSIS that if we wanted to have a good time and be able to do anything, we would have to have a plan, and to trust me. It worked out for the most part. I WILL be the tour guide ...... whether they want me to or not! I'm still waiting on those darn Nov.hours! Now there's a rumor that SuperSoap weekend has been pushed back to the 15-16th. I don't care about attending, but now I'm afraid that event at DHS may push back the start of the Osborne Lights - that is older DD's FAVORITE! Seriously, I may cry if we don't get to see it when we're there!:sad1:

Question of the day...
Will DH EVER say..."do you need me to do anything for you today?"

Answer...."Probably not!" Which means YOU have to ask the next question...."Honey, can you do some things for me today?" Seriously, men are not the brightest bulbs in the package! Put that man to work, girlfriend!

Cammie- We just got our list of dining ressies together last night. I will type them out with times we would like and save them for 5/31

Jillian - What dates did you change your trip to? I have a pretty good idea of where I want to eat; just really want to know the hours and EMHs before I officially book. Don't know if this is going to happen by Monday.

Only Cammie is superwoman! :lmao:

Boy, do I have you fooled!

Glad to hear the party went well this weekend!

I just remembered we have that $150 airline credit through next April. What about going Mid-March since Easter is in April? Would it be really crowded from spring break? My thoughts: I'd rather be chilly in Disneyworld than warm anywhere else!:lovestruc

I don't think mid-March would be that bad. Just keep in mind that different parts of the country have their spring breaks at different times - and not necessarily around Easter. Here in Mass., our spring breaks are always around Patriots Day - a local holiday. I think Tammie was going in March (am I remembering correctly?). If so, she could give you her opinion.

Ok, I've rambled on enough! Have a good night girls! Love ya all! (Debbie - I'm getting mushy like you!)

Hi Girls,
Hi Jillian..
Hi Renee.....like Cammie said anytime in WDW, right? I doubt it will be cold but I don't know. Did you check the weather for the time you are looking at? Glad you had a fun party too.
Thanks to all of you for not making me feel like a horrible MOM but some days................
Hi Everyone!
Today was wonderful! I think it actually hit 80:goodvibes ! I got over DH bugging me and just went about my day like he was at work.
Cammie...good luck with ADRs! I am sure you will get awesome stuff.

I am actually getting tired. I hope tomorrow is as nice as today but I think today was supposed to be our best weather for the week.
:grouphug: Big hugs to my favorite buds!!!!
Love, Mushy Debbie;)

OK, here I am with a little tidbit of info. Laura texted me to let me know where she is and we're hopefully gonna meet up tomorrow! She's on the other side of the resort here, but I think her DD's BBB appt is 1/2 hr after my DD's tomorrow. That will be neat to see both girls all decked out!

Well, DH is getting frustrated. We don't race around by any means, but the rest of his family only has one speed and it is slooooooow! We didn't even get into dinoland today at AK, and only did FOTLK, Kali, EE, KS, and ITTBAB today. They just don't get it. They just mosey around, which is fine, but they don't have a freakin clue! :headache: It's just very difficult. Then when we're heading out to make our 5:10 ADR at WCC, they stop to see characters, fine, no problem. But we tell them that we need to get going. Again, they decide to visit characters because someone told them they'll hold our ADR for 20 minutes! I was beginning to get ill because I do NOT like being late.... anywhere! Aaaarrrrgggghhh!

OK, off to bed now - BBB very early tomorrow at the castle. Until later!

DD on Expedition Everest today - she loved it! My little adrenaline junkie!

2008_05050156.jpg

Me just beginning my first Glowtini - don't know what's up with the drunken eye thing, I guess just thinking about getting plowed! Didn't happen though.
