Hi Cammie !

Just stop by to say Goodnight!

I swear there is a curse on this board. I am coming down with something. I think it is my sinuses again. DD is heading to the clinic to have her ears checked tomorrow as we have had overnight interludes with her. I love getting up at 3 am! I'm going to fight it. Already have taken Zicam. I will not be sick at WDW!

I'm here just catching up. Folded 6 bags of laundry today and put most of it away. I am so tired talk to all of you tomorrow.

Good night girls.....

Tomorrow DS starts school! It's an hour and a half once a week of language based preschool for his speech. I'm nervous about it. I have never left him like that before. Just YMCA babysitting playroom.

Oh...Kara..congrats on the weight loss.
Cammie...glad dinner was fun!
Laura...hope everyone feels better fast. Good luck!
Jillian..glad you could check in!!!

Happy Hump Day Ladies!!!!

Laura - you'd better get all the sickos well before you go - can't have you infecting my MIL - yet another complaint I'll hear from her!!! :rotfl: Seriously, hope everyone heals quickly.

The golf cart is arriving today!!!! Yeah, so much for those bikes we bought a couple months ago, huh? They will become garage decor just like the elliptical has become bedroom decor.

Lots of work to do today. But check this out! One of the DISigners made this for me to give to DH, DBIL an DFIL for the trip.

Get up all you lazy bones!!!! Somebody come play with me!!!!

I just read more of Tessa's trip report - she had great princesses at her breakfast. Sometimes you get the 2nd tier as DH calls them - we had Alice, Mulan, Ariel and Jasmine when we went. In my mind, Cindy, Aurora, and SW are the big 3, followed by Belle, Ariel and Jasmine. Oh, and isn't it funny how you can "recognize" a princess? The Jasmine with Tessa's kids is the same one that we saw at P&PP in March!

Where is everyone???

Good morning Kara - I'm here. I'm was fighting the urge to jump onto the boards this a.m. because I wanted to get to the gym a little early -- but, of course, here I am!

Loved the "Beers Around the Wold" chart. Wondering if they could do a "Drinking Around the World" - highlighting the special drinks that each country features.

Okay ladies...

Help again. I know I've about used my allowance of help up at this point - but I will really appreciate it! DH is always so "whatever" that I can't get an opinion. Couple that with him getting in so late, I just don't have anyone else to really ask - except DM who will invite herself! :scared1: :rotfl2:

Let's see if I can show you two pics and have you help me...
The first is the one that we stay at. Nice and quiet. Good things are never more than 5 families in the pool, but mostly 2. Never more than 20 on the beach, generally more like 10. The bedroom opens up to the patio, so you can sneak out while kids are asleep. All units face the ocean.

and the pool

or the new one that is really bigger. Views aren't as good, but it has more pool activites. I think a kids splash pad, hot tub, waterfall and that Lazy River. It is almost right next door to the Gulfarium and pier though

I'm going to see if I can get a drinking around the world card, too. It has to be someone doing the design who knows about the different drinks though. And I don't know enough about it to help them out. What can you offer???

OK,

Mexico - margarita
Japan - sake
France - citron slush (I have to try this!!!!)
Italy - chianti
UK - Guinness
China - plum wine
Germany - Becks
Norway - Carlsberg
US - Bud!
Morocco???
Canada - Moosehead

Sorry for all the changes. Finally got the pics working right! Off to take DS to school for the day. Be back in a bit!

Well, there's France - Grand Marnier or Lemon Citron Slushies; Mexico - margaritas; China - some Frozen Peach Schnapps slushie; Japan - Saki, maybe; Italy - I think they have a Bellini; I know the other countries have some "drink" that they are known for - just can't remember what they are.

I vote for the new one - that looks like a lot of places at Myrtle Beach. Just make sure you get an ocean front unit - DH and I love to sit out on the balcony and just get mesmerized by the waves crashing....

I forgot to put a pic of the pool of the first one...

Kara & Cammie - Could someone on the Dis board make it like a drinking passport? That would be really cool!

Hi Kara
- I'm here - kind of - updating the rest of our Epcot day - yep, I loved it. We recognised "our" princesses in the P&PP parade too, they were ALL the same ones from the breakfast. Would have been nice to have another Epcot day, but will have to save it for next time...

Tessa

I agree with Kara go with the new one. The pools look great.

Kara I was planning on giving you MIL a big sick hug! But I guess I won't add that to your trip. BTW did you get my cell#? E-mail has been really weird here. I'll PM it to you.

I'm printing the beers around the world for DH. Now comes the debate. Who gets to drink more. Okay not really a debate but still one of us needs to be the "sober" person. We really can't hide 2 cups from the princesses.

All the talk of drinks makes me want to be there NOW. I need a strong one. We were up again last night. Heading to the DR in an hour. I am hoping that DD6 doesn't pick it up.

What types of activities do you bring on the plane? I'm looking at a 4 hour ride. I have the DVD player packed with movies, 4 colorwonder books, her Disney journal, 2 new sticker books, the CD player and a generic activity book. I am planning on bringing crackers and munchies too. I am going to one of those people at the airport that can't control their luggage. I have often wondered why I don't just pack a steamer trunk :)

No, I don't have your cell# - PM me again and I'll send you mine, too. Love the idea of a steamer trunk!!!! :rotfl2:

Well Laura....

After 7 hours on an airport departure lounge floor, followed by a 9 hour flight, we have become expert at "entertaining" the kids.

For our 2 DDs 5 and 7 we had their Nintendo DS Lites with about 6 games each. A colouring book and coloured pencils ( no sharpener - flight regs...) also an activity book - dot to dot etc... and stickers and a blank notebook - the girls started their own journal and drew pictures and added stickers etc...
They had lollipops and cookies they could dip into as well as fruit in the airport.

A lot of the entertainment was just "looking around" too.

Tessa
