Like I said I am going to send pix of the house and kids doing things they shouldn't. First my small living room and Katherine's room

See the lack of things on the walls. I do have ideas but I can't hang a picture straight to save my life. I just need to sit on Tim until he helps me do that.

Here is Katherine. I closed the office door and went up stairs to do some work. Beth so kindly :hippie: opened the door for her because "Katherine wanted in". I'm glad the permant red marker didn't get on the floor or the walls. :scared1:

IMG_0742.jpg

Then while cleaning the tolilet Katherine wanted her hair to be a bit more conditioned. So she helped herself. Now that is Humectress, a very thick conditioner. It took 5 min to get that goop out of her hair.

Off to get cooking for our block party. Beth wants to add this :dance3:

Laura - Cute Photos!

Cammie - Glad Amanda is more comfortable. Sorry the EX is being like that. It is sad. Honestly. That would make me frustrated too!

Kara - Okay, not funny story, but it is! Take out him getting hurt and it would be the best ever!

Okay, back from MILs. OH LET ME TELL YOU!....

We arrive - eggs on top of fridge:sad2:

I leave to run an errand.

Come back, and they've all eaten. PERFECT! :) Breathing a sigh of relief. DH says ,"did you get something". I say "no" and with the evilest of smiles behind my MILs point of view he goes "SIT RIGHT THERE, I"LL GET YOU A PLATE!" Ohhhh. I could have killed him! Seriously, death would be too good for him. :snooty:

So he comes with a rounded plate of Pernil, Rice, and Tostones (fried plantain). YUCK YUCK YUCK.

I ate what I felt like I had to not hurt MILs feelings. Raked the meat in the Dogs Dish. GET THIS.... The dog walked into the living room and BARFED all over the floor. I would feel bad, but MIL insisted I give him my left overs.

SO BAD A DOG BARFS. I joked to DH that I saw him stick his paw down his throat. :lmao:

So I"m not sure what Carlos' punishment is... but it will be a doosie!

As far as the date, like Kara, I'm pretty flexible. As long as it isn't the first weekend after labor day, I think I can swing it. But I do agree with Cammie - bad weather doesn't mix. AND WTH about $80 fuel surcharge? When does that start? I may need to book my ticket to see SIL soon! :scared1:

Laura - The pictures of Katherine are too cute; I know you probably didn't think that at the time!

Renee - How's everyone feeling in your house today? Glad you survived your meal at your MIL's. I think Carlos owes you a stay at the Beach Club for making you eat that slop!

Amanda has been very comfortable these past two days, so I'm going to try to space out the meds today. I can't keep giving her codeine every five hours forever! Hopefully, she's over the hump and it won't bother her too much.

The girls and I had a fun night last night - had double feature movie night. We put down a big comforter on the floor of the family room and watched Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty; bought some theater-size boxes of Jr.Mints, Runts, and Sixlets; and made popcorn and nachos w/spicy cheese (Lauren's all-time favorite snack at the movies) Loved watching the classic Disney movies, but man did I have a stomachache from all the food. I can't put the junk away like I used to!

Ok, I scanned alot of old Disney pix yesterday to put up on my pre-tr; so be prepared, I may post some here too!

Hi to all!

Renee - How's everyone feeling in your house today? Glad you survived your meal at your MIL's. I think Carlos owes you a stay at the Beach Club for making you eat that slop! You know, I got so mad. Guess who didn't eat the food? UH = Carlos. He cooked himself something different. He knows better than to feed that stuff to the kids. I always take their own stuff, so I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO ATE THE SLOP!    I'm okay so far. But...   I told him his 4 night stay was upgraded to 8 for that one. He got so mad and said no. Then I said, from experience 4 nights wasn't enough becasue you loose two days traveling. He said he'd be willilng to talk about it. So, that is good at least.

Amanda has been very comfortable these past two days, so I'm going to try to space out the meds today. I can't keep giving her codeine every five hours forever! Hopefully, she's over the hump and it won't bother her too much.I agree about backing off. What about one dose of the Codeine and then one of the Motrin? Or Motrin during the day, then Codine at night?

Hi to all!

I'm worthless today. I'm in the mood to do too much all at once. I think I want to have a Pampered Chef party :rolleyes1 and thus I'm wanting to clean like mad. I guess that is the good think. I really want Carlos to take the kiddos so I can scrub those carpets downstairs. Of course he is at the office. Why? Because it is easier, I promise you! Still no new niece for me. But I did book my trip in Sept last night. I didn't have to pay the $80 fuel fee. Roundtrip - $170. I used my credits so it cost me $1.50 :lmao:

It's noon and both my daughters are sleeping! Well - Amanda was up at 6:30 and went back to sleep at 9am. Lauren, on the other hand, seems to be catching up on lack of sleep due to THREE sleepovers this past week!

SO... is it better to go like Sunday - Friday, or what? I remember, wasn't Sat the most crowded day?

Oh, and on the BWI vs BWV and BC vs BCV - looks like std room or 1 br studio are the same $$...

Suggestions on which is better?

Renee - Here's another thread for you to check out:

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1735844

As far as which is better: standard room or studio in a villa: in a standard room, you'll have two double (or queen beds); probably a fridge and coffemaker. In a studio, you'll have one bed and a pull-out sofa, which means during the day, you can fold the bed up and have more room. You'll also have a microwave, coffemaker, fridge, and I think toaster. There's pix on the above-mentioned thread of standard rooms at the Beach Club.

Thanks Cammie!!! You rock!!!

Hey did you know there is a new (okay, so new to me) option on the Dining stuff. Looks like a "Quick Service Dining Option" where you get two quick service meals/day. No TS though.

I'm honestly thinking about nixing this dining plan. It seems a little much for "potential" 30% savings. I mean, if we don't really do fine dining, I'm not so certain we will come out that ahead. Only thing would be we could do the 0% deal on the Disney Visa...

Has the 2009 Dining plan been posted? Where is it? I'm thinking about this for my 5 day trip w/Lauren in Feb. I've never done it before and thought I'd like to try it.

I'm just pulling quotes from the Disney online site. HUM. I don't think you can pull just a dining only quote, but you could use the dates, figure out your base for your trip and then see what it added on to add the dining. Like I said, look at it. At least I think the CS plan is new. I don't remember that option before. I think same as the old one but two CS instead of one TS and one CS daily.

So Lauren's friend just came over to play. She lives kind-of around the block, but it's a l-o-o-o-ng block; about a 10 minute walk door to door, or 5 minute bike ride. She shows up on her bike - NO HELMET!!!!:scared1: She biked over yesterday to drop something off and no helmet then either. The first thing I aske her is "Where is your helmet?" She tells me she can't find it - their garage is really a mess right now; her mother told her it was ok to just go. Now I'm really good friends with the mom and I just can't stand that she does this! Especially since one of the roads you have to bike on is a pretty busy cut-through street. Just poor, poor judgement, IMO. God, all it takes is one lousy bump; or one swerve. I just don't understand what she's thinking to let her go out TWICE now w/out a helmet!:sad2:

We Love not having to worry about $$ that is why we do it. I figure tips before we go and then I put them in envelopes. We are thinking of maybe trying the CS option next year and paying for TS where we want/can't Miss like 1900 PF or Boma for Breakfast or Crystal Palace for BF. It would save us a good chunk of change and I wouldn't have to be tied down to ADR's all week.

Well I talked to DH and I could go Jan 2010 or Feb 2010,but they would be coming with me and would scatter and do there own thing while we sat by the pool and had cocktails. We should try to choose the same resort and then we can all meet and just go where ever.

If not I am sure Cammie Tina and I would love to have you all here in Boston. I am sure we could find things to do. Like a winter resort with a fireplace and hot cocoa and SHOPPING!!!!

Cammie - do you think the mom really knows? I mean, aren't they about the age where messing up your hair is more of a risk than leaving off a helmet? If you think she might not know, might be worth mentioning, because it sounds pretty dangerous. I'd hate for anything to happen!!!

I'm looking at pictures right now from the link that you posted.. :cloud9:

Looks like most things are pretty much the same - give or take $200 for the ones we are looking at. Of course, the one that is $200 cheaper is the Contemp. That one has construction going on for a while too. I am not that interested in noise all day. Plus that theme just doesn't do it for me.

My bratty SIL forwareded me a deal she got. $317 (per person) for two adults at a value for 5 nights with park tickets included. Of course it is a PIN offer, so it will only work for her. :( We're mine at???? My email box is empty.

Jillian - I'm too much of a chicken to bring it up to Carlos right now. He is about on edge with all the Disney talk. I will just commit and wait until a good moment to spring it on him! :)

Okay, so as far as the date, I'm confused. Are we doing
Jan/Feb 2010
Sept/Oct 2009
Sept/Oct 2010
????????????????????????????????????????????????

Plus have we said Disney yet or no?

If so, I second Jillian that we should totally look into going and staying at one place. If I come solo - I even wouldn't mind sharing a room with someone. For the record, I'm a non-snorer! :lmao:

Wouldn't Sept/Oct be cheaper because they typically offer free dining then? We should definatly plan on a cheaper time of year. I just checked Mar (before MIa turns 2) to see if we could do that cheaper. It would still be a few hunderd dollars cheaper to come in May and pay her airline ticket.
