Lockers question for rides

Can you tell me if some of the rides at IOA and US require you to have a locker for a small purse/backpack? I know at Six flags this is the case, but at Disney, I can carry everything on. Specifically the Forbidden Journey...can I bring a small bag on that? Info for any of the other 'bigger' rides would be helpful too. Thanks.

You are not allowed to carry on bags at the majority of major attractions at both parks. The attractions that do not allow carry ons are more intense than the Disney rides and for guest safety, they do not allow bags. You will need to stow your backpack in a locker before getting in the queue line. About the only thing you can carry on is a fanny pack that does not impede the restraints.

Thanks...so my question for Forbidden Journey is...where are the lockers in the line? I would love to get photos inside the castle, but if I can't carry a bag on, I assume I probably can't carry a camera on either? Unless its a small one to fit in my pocket or something, or if the lockers come after the castle part of the line?

I'd heard about the bag issue prior to going last month. I wore cargo shorts and kept a small wallet in one pocket and clipped my tiny point and shoot camera on a belt loop and was fine. We rode Forbidden Journey, MIB, Mummy's Revenge without any issues.

I did see several people with waist/fanny packs that were allowed on most of the rides. There was a person in front of us at MIB that was asked to go to the locker area because he had a magic wand and I didn't think that ride was very intense at all; however, another couple in line was arguing because they'd lost their camera on the ride and the boyfriend was threatening to hop off the ride to retrieve it.

If you just want to take pictures, ask to do the castle tour. It has its own line and you can take as many pictures as you want. The lockers come before you get in line so unless you have a pocket camera, that is the only way to do pictures.

The shortcut to the lockers is found by going through the Filch's store and head directly to the left.
