Loaning/borrowing on a Nook?

Don't forget about other library systems besides your own. Here in PA, I can get library outside my home city/county. I live in Central PA but have an account in Philadelphia. My library system does not have Ebooks but Phila does. All I had to do was apply online, give them my local account info and they sent me a Phila library card with internet access.

Not sure if any other states do this.
Does the Philly library have a good selection of ebooks?

FYI, A Free Library of Philadelphia library card is available at no cost to anyone who lives, works, pays taxes, or goes to school in the City of Philadelphia. In addition, anyone who is 65 or older or who has a valid card with an Access PA sticker from another Pennsylvania library can obtain a Free Library card without charge.
Out-of-state residents can obtain a card by paying an annual fee of $15.00. Printable Registration Form

Okay, so DH and I were not too smart, we each have our own account and NOW realized it would be best to be on one? Is there away to keep both of our books on one account? Or does one of us have to lose (inactivate) our books?

Thanks

Try contacting Customer Service for whichever e-reader that you have and maybe they will be able to help you. DH and I both have one, and I keep all the books on my account. That way if he decides that he wants to read one that I've downloaded to mine- all he has to do is go into Archive and select it. Then it downloads to his e-reader and we can both be reading the same book.

HTH!

It seems as though if I deregister the nook then I'm not able to see my library. BUt if I register than my daughter has access to the net and my credit card. I think there may have been an update for this but where would I find it?

Our library has ebook that I have downloaded and read on my laptop using the nook app for it. I can't figure out how to get the new one that is ready on my nook. Can someone help.

i have a question...if a book is in both PDF and EPUB format, do i need ADE?

Check your local Barnes and Noble stores- they have classes every week for Nook and Nook Color! My daughter went to one last night and it was about 2 hours long but worth it. They also have advanced classes once a month and once the App store is released they will be doing the advanced classes more often. They are going to be releasing all sort of Apps that you can download (like itouch) for the color nook.
Last night they did the software update on everyones color nooks- seems only some did the auto update at home so they did the update for those who's computers didn't auto update it. They also went overthe free book downloading how you put in 0.00 and a genre and if you put in 0.00 mystery it will bring up all the free mystery books etc. Also how to connect to the local library etc.
At the end of class he put on the screen savers for anyone that bought them that night which was nice- they are not hard to do but it was nice to have them clean it and put them on there for you.
