Livin on a Fantasy!! September 29, 2012 Disney Fantasy

Hey everyone,
We have decided to change our date to the Dec 1 sailing on the Fantasy. I am so sad to be leaving our little group. It sounds so fun and you all will have an amazing time. We switched because my DH didn't want to go to the same places we have been, being that we have only been on one cruise. And I wanted to let me 3 year old get a little older. We are trying to potty train an almost 3 year old right now and it is not going well. I don't know what I will do if we cant get all 3 into the kids clubs. So, while we will miss our actual anniversary I think this will work out much better for us. Have fun and enjoy and write lots of good TRs for me to follow along.:surfweb: God bless!
Aww Erin sorry to hear that, but on the positive note, you will be onboard with Xmas decorations!! Try hitting MVMCP at WDW before you board. Not to be missed!

Welcome BeccaBelle!

It's a windy , very rainy day ,today in Maryland! I have my room number for this cruise it's 8506! The others don't have theirs as yet since they will be using Disney points so they cant book as yet! Not sure what all that involves but I am set! :cool1:

I believe my dil's niece will be coming also and she will be 9 when we cruise also!

Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday!

Take care!

Sue

Thanks for the rm #, I will try and get the spread sheet worked on today. I am in the middle of making my girls tops for Magic Kingdom. I just learned to sew last week so I am addicted!!

Erin, sorry to hear that you won't be on this cruise but totally understand. It will be worth it to have him potty trained. We worked hard with our then-3-year-old on our first cruise and cut it close. She finally got the hang of it right before our trip. I was worried about accidents but had none on the trip! :cool1:

I don't know about you all but I am having a hard time waiting for this cruise!! I know I will be glad I had all this time to save and time to plan but we just had so much fun on our last cruise that I just can't wait to do it again!!

I'm not too worried that we had done this cruise before because one port will be different (Costa Maya instead of Key West) and as for the other ports, I am excited to go to them again because we had so much fun the last time. Even though the last cruise was great there are a few things I am looking forward to doing differently, like having early dinner and hopefully not being so tired for Pirate Night this time. DH and DD missed the entire thing and I and my other DD missed the buffet but got to enjoy the dancing and fireworks.

We too had the same as you intin back in 2009. I am excited to do again because we really stayed close to port and didn't venture out, This time we wanna swim with the dolphins, hit, Hell and the turtle farm maybe....and not sure about Costa Miya---DH would love to see the ruins but not sure if he will do that with our friends going or what. Not sure girls would like that. My girls love pirate nt, missed it our first cruise but then never gain after that. Can't miss those Turkey legs...LOL I didn't but DH likes them. Those babies are huge!!

hello everyone!

I will be leaving this thread since we needed to change our cruise date till Oct 6th. Some of the others were booking their rooms with the Disney points and low and behold they are all booked up till October! Guess they changed the booking policy and the rest of our group didn't know it. So all of our group is booked, thank goodness! Have a great cruise!

Hi everyone!! Just dropping in to say Hi! We got Free dining for our trip to WDW in Sept...so excited. Today I also changed by stateroom to a balcony. This yr we are surprising the kids with WDW but in 2012 we are traveling on this cruise with friends and I know they won't be able to contain themselves so my kids will know. So I booked a balcony today to surprise my DH and DD's. We are on deck 7 in the aft. 7660. A non-connecting room:banana:

I also have been very busy sewing. I have made the 5 girls traveling tops for MK for our trip in Sept. I also made my DD a twirl skirt for 1900 Park Fare( dinner with Cinderella and her family) Here are my finished projects. Still need to make the top for skirt. My kids think all these clothes I am making are for the cruise...no idea they are for WDW trip in 4 months!!!

Hi Michelle,
You are right down the hall from us, we are in 7690. :) I love your sewing projects, too cute. I hope we can meet up while you are here. We have no idea what our schedule will look like in the fall, so as it gets closer we can try to plan something.

The rest of this month is packed for us, especially this week. Courtney makes her first Communion on Sunday, so my MIL is coming in on Saturday for the week. Of course after the Communion we are having a party. The week after my MIL is here, dh is off, and then Memorial Day weekend we have the annual homeschool convention to go to. Then it will be June and 1 month closer to our cruise.:cool1:

We booked last night! I'm Karen and hubby is Marty. Our daughter, son-in-law, grandson, son in-laws parents and maybe his brother (19) and 16 year old sister will be going. Not sure if anyone else will decide to go. Our grandson will be 2 on the cruise but turns 3 the end of October. This will be his first cruise.

This will be the first Disney cruise for us and the in-laws. I think it's the 3rd for daughter and son-in-law. They went on a Disney cruise on their honeymoon and also to the Mexican Rivera when Disney came to the west coast. We will all be celebrating anniversaries; our 40th, daughters 10th, and the in-laws 35th. We celebrated anniversaries  (35th, 5th, and 30th) on a 10 day Princess cruise to Alaska, which was our and the in-laws first cruise. Daughter and son-in-law wanted all of us to go on a cruise. Everyone loved it!. We all went on a Mexican Rivera cruise on Princess a few years later. Hubby and I did a Panama Canal cruise (Princess) last October by ourselves (our first cruise without a group) and will be doing another 10 day Princess cruise by ourselves to Alaska this September. I think I want to live on a cruise ship! :rotfl:

I've been reading about the FE for a few days now. It sounds like a lot of fun and I want to do it. I already have an idea of what I want to give, well, actually, several ideas. Look forward to chatting with everyone.

Karen

Did you call T-Rex directly for a reservation or did you use Disney Dining? Calling the restaurant directly usually results in much better availability than than through disney.

Hi Michelle, yes, I homeschool the girls. You certainly are the planner, :rotfl: I really don't know what my days will look like in September. I think I will be working Monday and Tuesday then, and I have to find out when the girls have dance. But I am sure we will be able to work something out.

Hi Karen, welcome to our little group. We love doing FE, it is so much fum getting all sorts of little treats.:cool1:

Hello!

My husband and I will be joining you for our 3rd Disney cruise, and it will be the first for our then-2-year-old (almost 3-year-old) son. I'm Starshine95123's daughter, Julie. It's still a year and a half away, but we're all excited already!

Hi everyone! :wave2:

We booked this one awhile ago but haven't checked in till now! This will be our second cruise and we planned it so that we will be cruising on our first wedding anniversary! Its hard to imagine having a full year between the wedding and the cruise since I am still 3 months out from BEING married... and knowing the both of us will then be 30 (!!!) puts the whole long term Disney planning cycle in a whole new light! :rotfl: Here is hoping for bright weather and easy sailing!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. You'll have to tell us all about Aulani when you get back from your honeymoon. It sounds fantastic.

DH and I just booked this cruise. We are empty-nesters and will be going alone so far. But we are inviting a lot of in-laws and out-laws. So that could change. This will be our 6th DCL cruise. We have done the 3 and 4 nighters on the Wonder, both 7 nighters on the Magic, and the 11 night cruise in the Med on the Magic. We are really excited to see one of the newer ships.

Hi everyone.

Haven't read through the whole thread yet, but thought I'd post in and say hello!

We have paid our deposit and are booked to sail on the Fantasy with you all in Sept 2012:cool1::cool1::cool1:

It will be our 15 year wedding anniversary, and we're very excited to be spending it aboard a Disney ship.

We sailed on the Magic earlier this year and had a wonderful time. We found it to be a great way to spend family time, and still have the kids able to do fun stuff that they love as well.

Looking forward to chatting over the coming months!

Congrats on your 15th! I forgot to mention that we will be celbrating our 30th on this cruise. We have celebrated our 20th and 25th on DCL cruises. So it is looking like it is a trend for us. Congrats again!

Glad to have some more people to chat with. I imagine a lot more people will join us as we get closer to the sail date. I'm so excited to go on our first DCL cruise.

Sounds like a lot of anniveraries will be celebrated on this cruise. We will be celebrating our 40th anniversary. My daughter (TrojanJulez), son-in-law and our sweet little grandson (almost 3 on the cruise) will be going too. It will be their 10th anniversay. They've also decided to bring SIL's sister (17) with them.
