Live Reports May 8-28 (yes, 21 days) Solo & a 1st timer!

Just got done reading your posts and am looking forward to reading more! 21 days in DW would be awesome! I am glad you are having a great time so far and I hope you start feeling 100% again soon.

I am excited to hear how you like Rose and Crown. I just added the ADR to our October trip today. :goodvibes

Off Kilter is great! Just sat through 2 sets. Wonderful

All7ofus - Downtown Disney is next Thursday

Feeling a tiny bit better, just call me sniffles.

Grabbed a pint of Guinness because I'm in England. Nice.

Plan for tomorrow is 13/14 hours in DHS for the ST grand opening and SWW festivities. Betcha Lucas will be there.

Dinner at R&C in 30mins, probably have the surf and turf. I'll ask for a table waterside but whatever.

Something I thought of the other day... I miss the "fring" when you enter a park. If you never been to Disneyland it's the sound the turnstile makes after you put your ticket in. Sorta like having Tinkerbell hit you with her wand as you enter the park. I guess it's exclusive to Disneyland. Kinda hard to explain unless you've been there but I found I was expecting something as I enter a park. Silly, but it's special to me.

Later

Saw a third Off Kilter set while waiting for my table.

R&C was good. Steak was cooked just right Ans tasty. Fish was better at Yorkshire the other day. Still enjoyed it.

Has table inside but at fireworks time my server took me out to a standing area at waters edge. You can definitely feel the fireworks from there!

Sitting on a bench again waiting for the crowd to dwindle.

Talk to you tomorrow.

Just finished reading ALL the posts. Glad you are having a great time.
It is interesting to read what you have to say about WDW attractions compared to DL attrations. Good to know ST is super. Enjoy the vaca,
stay cool and give those feet a break. Hope the congestion goes away soon !

It's SWW and Star Tours grand opening.

In DHS at 7:30. I now found a spot in the shade on the railing 40ft from the stage for the opening at 10:15. Long time to go.

George Lucas is here, saw him rehearsing on stage.

Wow, I'd love to take a solo trip to WDW. As much as I love my DW and DD, some of my favorite times at WDW are when I go over to Epcot right by myself, get a beer and just walk around WS taking pictures. :goodvibes

I lurk on most TRs, but I just had to say, you are living my dream! Sounds like you are have a great time, and thanks for the live updates :yay:

what a great trip report, sounds like you are having a blast, I can't wait for the rest...enjoy yourself!!!

Sniffles here...

The grand opening and SWW were great! What a long day! I was in the park from 7:30am until 10:30pm, I didn't leave, too much to do.

I'm sure you'll all read many reports online about the opening, I'll just say I love it. Well worth 3hrs of waiting in one place. Bob Iger & George Lucas were cool to see again. 25 years ago it was Michael Eisner & George Lucas.

While everyone else ran off to ride the attraction I got in line for the first of 4 presentations at the Premier Theater. I saw them all. Again you'll all read about who was there.

I will say Anthony Daniels sure is attention hound and stuck up. He had a few good stories but they were all so scripted it just awkward. He definitely considered himself as the biggest celebrity of the day and most of the attention to himself. If you REALLY like the guy in person, sorry, this is my trip report and my opinion of the guy.

My plan of 2 sit-down meals worked out just right.

The fire grilled tuna at MM was delicious. Great flavor.

The rueben sandwich at scoring was good but I was there for the atmosphere.

Now I did not care for the Highperspace Hoopla. Mostly it was the music. I'm getting old what can i say.

Sorry for the lack of other posts today, my battery died again because I was on it a lot talking and texting to friends and posting on FB

Tomorrow I have to try to sleep in again. Not getting much sleep when I have to breath through my mouth and keep waking up to blow my nose.

Tomorrow all that is planned is dinner at Coral Reef.

Goodnight.

I'm so happy you're still having so much fun, Bob!! Everything sounds great; how cool to see G. Lucas in person!!

Slept on until 9, still stuffed up but better.

Got a notice on door saying the would take me to airport tomorrow. I called to change to next Saturday. One week to go.

Did the first bus trick and went to MK. It is crowded! I don't care.

The castle looks cool and all but I keep expecting to see a mountain just to the right. :)

Sitting at Cosmic Ray's. Chicken was good, ribs not good. Turf.

Time to check on SM, it was down when I got here.

Whenever I feel like it. I'll head down to Epcot via monorail.

Later

SM is still down :( it's the last attraction I have to go on. :(

SM still down.

Just got stopped again asking for directions. Looking for Indy cars, that was easy, I'm standing right next to them! :)

Rode Buzz, Carousel, PM and train. Off to Epcot. SM still not running.

Got stopped in Epcot asking if I worked here. Maybe I just look helpful?!?

Now sitting in Mexico enjoying a classic Margarita, pineapple is next I think.

It's hot outside! I liked the 85 of last week.

Before Coral Reef I plan to see Crush a couple more times.
