Live from Walt Disney World - Wrap-Up at Post 62

You lucky duck!! Wish I was there.. Thats a cute idea to decorate the window.. Hope you guys have a great time and keep us updated..

Got in at 1a this morning. Today's plan was to sleep late since we're headed to World Showcase and don't need to worry about ride lines. OTH, got up at 8a to take care of some business and came back to discover wife had taken over the middle of the bed LOL! (we're used to a King, not a double). So here I am posting. I've taken the opportunity to download the Opera browser for this new phone. Yesterday was a pain trying to post from the MK with the MS PocketPC browser, trying to go back and forth from here to photobucket. This has tabbed browsing like Firefox and should be much more convenient.

Cingular now has HSDPA (?) wireless highspeed in Orlando, including the parks. It's a joy and will probably hurt WDW's $10/day room wireless charges bigtime.

Well, it's 9a and the wife's up. Time to get ready for Epcot!

A last picture from yesterday. I'm taking some quick pics with phone for posting. Wife is taking the keeper pics. Here' our son Will. We're on the tram ... only time this week.

Have fun and keep posting!

I love the window you did a great job! The shirt is cute to! Have a great time and please keep posted! We could use some more live reports!

Turns out Epcot doesn't have the HSDPA, so no more postings here today. We did eat lunch here:

Got to the park at opening, a first for us in 6 previous trips! What a difference it has made. First stop was . . .

which we FPed, rode TOT, then RRC, then TOT again using the FP. Across the park to FP LMA, then Muppets 3D, now finishing an early lunch. Next BLT, then LMA, then back to POP Century for an afternoon break -- Will just has to have some pool time. I'll do some office work and be done for the week.

We haven't done well the first two days . . . felt like unDISeducated newbies but today is going much better.

Getting there early in busy times makes such a difference. :tink: for the remainder of your trip!

Sorry your first two days haven't been as magicla as you had hoped for! i hope the rest of your trip turns out great!

Park crowds continue to amaze me, so much higher than this time two years ago. But manageable.

I love watching families! Doesn't matter the ages of the kids. Even like watching couples and multi-generation adult families. Life is good!

Weather is great. Almost everyone in summer attire. Just not sweating! Was worried about the "partly cloudy" forecast, fearing it meant "overcast," but the weather is beautiful.

Don't know what the threads were about concerning Disney World not seeming as decorated. Looks beautiful and very decorated to us in the three parks so far. Looking forward to the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights (did I get that right?) tonight.

I'm used to Disney overstating wait times for rides. But this time we've had more than one occasion when wait times were way underestimated. Example, Star Tours this afternoon. Wait time of 10 minutes stated; took over 30. Still one of our favorites, though!

Posting in the park on my new smartphone is do-able, but a hassle. So much easier here from the room. It is a good way to pass the time waiting in line. Curious stares from some.

But the most questions have been about our Crocs, maybe because they're the new Disney Crocs. We got ours before the trip, but we've seen them for sale in the Pop Century store. They sure have been an asset -- our feet are not as tired, and no blisters.

We enjoyed Lights, Motors, Action. But, as we've read in other's reports, not sure that it will be on our favorites list, maybe not even a future repeat. As worn as Indiana Jones Stunt Show is, we find it a favorite. Go figure.

Back tonight for ADR at 50's Primetime, then some rides and the Osborne Lights. Maybe Fantastic; it's not one of our favorites, but so many people rave about it, we're thinking about giving it another chance.

TTFN!

Patricia was a fun hostess for our dinner.

Park crowds really down for evening EMH. In line now for GMR, then Osborne Lights.

Hi Georgia!!:sunny:

Really enjoying the live reports!!!:thumbsup2 Thanks for taking the time during your trip to do this for all of us!!! :cool1: How many more days will you be there?

We leave for home Friday morning, want to be home for Christmas.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, was designed to be a loosey-goosey day for us. Since we didn't do MK too well on Saturday, we're headed back there tomorrow afternoon to catch some things we missed.

A final pic for the night:

On the way out of the park, we went by Star Tours and got to ride one more time. Until tonight, we didn't know that at the Endor Moon theming at the entry to Star Tours, that at night there are nature sounds, Ewok voices, and a light glowing up in an Ewok treehouse. Nice touch.

"See you real soon!"

Thanks for continuing to share your trip and pics with us. Keep havin a good time!

I love the window, how cute! Sounds like your trip is turning out to be good. Thanks for sharing!
