We're on our way home. It's been a good week at WDW. We've had a better experience before, but being sick part of the time put a little damper on the week. (We did the next occupants of our room a big favor in wiping down all surfaces and generously spraying lysol everywhere before we left.)
Express check-out envelope on the room door this morning. Yow! How did we rack up $500 on our room key?! Guess that recurring comment, 'This is our last trip for awhile' came back to haunt me.
How can it take 3+ hours to pack one little bitty room? And we did a good job of keeping things clean and organized this week.
We ate lunch at Pop Century before leaving. We were surprised how often we ate there this week, but it was very convenient and they've upgraded the menu from two years ago.
This was our first experience with the DP. It was more than enough food, it was convenient, and we probably ate a better than if we had paid as we went. Our servers benefited, too, since we tended to leave generous gratuities to supplement the one built-in to the DP.

Looks like it's going to be a record-breaking Christmas week at WDW. The rain hasn't yet started, but I feel sorry for those who will have to dodge it for the next 2-3 days. Sounds like misery for Vacationers and Disney.
We did decide after all that maybe the parks were not as fully decorated as in previous years. It was most noticeable in the lesser number of poinsettias; we particularly noticed this in Epcot Futureworld.
Sad because we anticipate this being our last WDW trip for 4 years. Our youngest DS is 13.5 and he says he's tired of WDW. Maybe if he develops the right kind of friend in our new community he might enjoy a trip with a buddy. As it was, we gave him a lot of freedom (for our 'baby' anyway) this trip and it did seem to make a difference.
Hope you've enjoyed this intermittent 'Live from Disney' Reports. And now I'm afraid we'll have to be weaning ourself off the DISboards if our next trip is so distant.
Everyone have a blessed and sweet Christmas!
P.S. Don't tell anyone I'm wearing dirty socks back to Georgia (only packing mistake we made). Better than dirty underwear!
