The Nov 5th and 19th itinerary are the same except for Key West (I know because we are on the 19th) and both were affected by Wilma.

Mon: Sea Day
Tue: Grand Cayman
Wed: Costa Maya
Thu: Sea Day
Fri: Castaway Cay
Sat: :( PC

Another beautiful day!! Today is a day at sea. We started early with chip golf in the atrium for my DH and DS and then making potato and carrot cars in the Promanade (forget the name of that one). Didn't win either. Then off to Palo for brunch. Again a lot of new faces but did see PJ, Marco and Gemma. Brunch was very nice and then off to the adult pool where my DH did a wonderful job competing in the Great Legs contest. It was hysterical! We have a funny group of guests on board.

Last night my DH watched football and I went to see Freddy Fusion in the adult caberet. He's really great, still don't have any idea how he did a couple tricks.

My DD barely wants to leave the clubs. My DS's 13 & 15 aren't as thrilled with the stack and Ocean Quest but they are still having a great time. They are spending more time in the room this time than any other cruise.

The dive in movie is great. They set up rows of chairs every night to watch the movie. There are plenty of seats and many open seats so don't worry about getting a spot.

Tonight is formal night with Golden Mickey's (which we'll skip) and Gary Delana for adult cabaret and Freddy Fusion for family cabaret. It should be fun.

Pike is no longer DJ and seems to be doing many of Que's old jobs. He ran the pool games and calls bingo. He's doing a great job as are all the other CM's. We are having such a magical time.

I love Pikey!! Ask him how he got in trouble last week at bingo....he was so funny!! He had to keep proclaiming his adoration for Amy!!!! He was a riot!

Sounds like a great time. I'm relishing my memories now. You said you have a group of funny guests. I'm sure my friends are part of the fun. The guy is follicly (sp.?) challenged, ie. losing his hair, w/ a moustache and his wife is about 4 months preg. w/ a small 1 1/2 yr. old adorable daughter w/ brown hair and big brown eyes. They are also DVC members so you may see them at a function if you also are a member. I can't wait to talk to them. Keep your eyes open for them. They are a lot of fun!

I'm here by the Mickey Pool feeling sick as a dog. First day was rough for me, yesterday was ok, but today it's been the worst. Gotta hit the dramamine. Wireless internet is working good, lost signal once but without a hitch since. When I walked around Key West, I went by an auto repair and saw most cars with doors open, trying to dry out and there was the musky smell in lots of stores.
Coming back from Key West, DW used my son's KTTW card to get back on board and sure enough, they call her on the PA before departing to make sure she's back on board. We were by the pool and all the kids came running asking what's happening. She was pretty embarassed.
Went to the art auction today. Anyone know if those "land prices" they quote are legit? I have until 10pm today to make a commitment.

Speaking of...will anybody tell you what really happened to Que. We liked hime a lot and are sad to see him gone.

So is the following correct?

Monday - Formal
Wednesday - Pirate
Thursday - Semi Formal

Thanks again for the reports

We really loved Que as well-if anyone knows where he is now please let us know.

Que is on another cruise ship now as cruise director but I forget which one. He is really missed. Pike is doing bingo now. Haven't gone yet but he is still new and he is really trying. He's doing a great job.

Buddy Bear yes you have the nights right. If I remember right you have a cat 1, you are going to LOVE it!! Do a search of Que on this board, I think that is true from what I've heard.

chop003 this is our first Western and on the Eastern it was so much worse. I can feel the ship move now and my DD says she can feel it but I've been on so much worse this is so easy.

Saw Freddy Fusions family cabaret tonight and love him. Hopefully he will be around for a while. Not sure who's getting on tomorrow for entertainment the rest of the week.

DisneyDumbNut haven't seen anyone pregnant but great group here, many folically challenged. Teens are great, some who don't dress according to code at dinner but really couldn't have cared less. Dinner was still great. Have no idea how others eat more than one entree a night. After brunch I was done. Went to dinner because my DD wanted to do formal and for the pictures but none of us could really eat. Didn't get to see the changes at the end of the Animators Dinner show because we need to rush to see Cinderella. Anyone know what changed?

Heading down to see Gary Delana now. Will check in tomorrow.

Thanks for your reports!! I am glad to hear that the wireless internet is working well. Have you been to the spa? I am anxious to hear about the changes to the spa and exercise room, especially the glass bottom jacuzzi? Sounds heavenly!

Thanks,

Wow, all the "Que" references are killing me!! Thx for the updates, I'm glad he is still sailing somewhere???????????????

We met Pike this past summer and he is really terrific, I'm glad he is taking over for Bingo, etc.........he's got a great personality! :goodvibes

Thx also for the itinerary update, I'm glad most of the Western ports are the same, my favorite is still Cozumel, I wonder how things are going there  ?

Let us know how Costa Maya is as a port?? :confused3

Hey guys,
We are sailing on the 11/26 Magic....glad to hear you guys are having a great time...does anyone know if Sasha Sakic is still on board and in Palos? We had Sasha as our server for 3 cruises, and last year he went to Palos. We ended up going up one evening and yes, it was a 3 hour dinner.....just curious if he is still on the ship....
Hope all goes well the rest of the week....are they showing Chicken Little on the ship this week?
If Sasha is still there, and you run into him tell him Tom & Marilou Christian say hello....
Thanks all....and enjoying your postings...please keep them coming!

Tom :cool1:

We are in Grand Cayman. My kids are still sound asleep at 11:00AM, must be all the late nights finally getting to them. We don't plan on getting off the ship. I want to enjoy the empty ship.

We saw Gary Delana in the adult cabaret last night. He has a whole new act, again, and he was hysterical. I embarrassed myself laughing so loud. Tonight in the adult and family cabaret there is a new juggler. I forget his name now but will find out. They are showing Cinderella and Around the World in 80 days on the dumbotron today and tonight is Twice Charmed.

Just booked again for 2007, love Danielle!!! We booked 2006 last year but want to try for a suite again so hoping that we will get one when the come available.

Have to say noone ever mentions the great people in room service. Ken has made me laugh so hard and is wonderful as are the delivery people. The woman who took our breakfast order this morning was also wonderful, I wish I had gotten her name.

I didn't see Sasha at Palo but he could be there. We aren't planning on going back this trip. We are hoping to order dinner in our room so we can eat with the kids and will try to ask then.

Off to wake up kids. They have things they wanted to do today, don't want them to be disappointed.

I don't know about the non-disney art, but DH and I went to the art store at Downtown Disney after we got off the ship on 11/4. They had several of the disney art pieces that Park West was auctioning on the ship, and the prices were lower than the starting prices that Park West had. Makes me a little leary of auctions like that now. One of the Blind Dates they did while we were on the ship was from Beauty & the Beast. It had a few pictures of Belle around town. They did it for over $600, and it was only $300 and something at the Art of Disney store.

So DJ Pike is Bingo king. Who is DJ? I knew Que and Doug left but where in the world are Dessler, Ang, Renee,.....

Is Grand Cayman back to norm or was it still very obvious about their devastation?

Thanks for the update.

Sweet,

If you are still feeling queasy tomorrow, get in the pool, not the mickey pool though!

We had a very "rocky" at sea day. It created a wave pool. As long as I just let my body "hang" in the pool, I was fine!!! I loved doing this anyway chatting with all the people, so it wasn't so bad.

Was the jugglers name David DiMuzio??? Oh my, thats exciting to hear he is still performing on the magic.. he is so attractive!! Who cares about the juggling

Hey everyone!
What a great trip we're having.
It was so wonderful to plan a DIS meet. I've met very many nice people that I'd been talking with for months previous to our cruise.

This was the best idea to hook up with a few single adults and have dinner with them. Michlynb....Michelle and her son Spencer and
Suzanne and her son Drew have been having dinner together with me
Scouter....Rose and my son Sean. It's terrific to have company.

At our DIS meet......we met up with 3swimmers.......DW Claire
DHJeff and their three childrenn. The oldest being Sarah 13. My son
Sean 15, and her have hit it off very well and have spent lots of time
together while I hang out with my new friends having coffee at Cove
Cafe or tequila tasting or dining at Palo!

There's another great thing! Palo! I never thought I'd be able to go since
I was traveling with only my teenager, but thanks to Suzanne and Michelle
we've been once for brunch and will be dining there again Thursday evening
with another newly found friend that Suzanne met at a singles luncheon....
Deb (not on DIS), thanks also to Suzanne's concierge for allowing us
reservations whenever she'd like!
I'll have to save for concierge service suite next cruise!

So, Palo is excellent! Don't miss this place! And PJ who works up there
is a sweetheart!

Have met up with merylj, suzymouse, boosgram, piratewife, biroroberts,
magmom, travelingmice, nala11 and Lauri, and others that I cannot remember
right now.

We went to Captain Marvins yesterday with michlynb and magmom family and travelingmice family. We snorkeled at 2 different locations, both
were excellent! and then went to a third stop to play with the stingrays.
Ok, I was ready for this one, excited even. But when these stingrays kept
swimming around me and brushing up against me and under my feet, I was
quite a bit creeped out. Now, I didn't mind if they swam around me and I tried to reach out and pet them, but them taking the initiative was ....creepy.
Their undersides are quite slimy. But I did obey the tradition of first timers
must KISS a stingray, so when our guide held one out for me to hold....
I did and reluctantly kissed it's spine. BLECH! But I'm buying that video!!!!

My son, 15, loved This!!!!! He keeps saying that's the coolest thing that
he's ever done! He loved snorkeling. And you must know that we are not
beach people or swimmers. I loved it too. We even saw a small shark and
an eel!

Word of caution. The sun is brutal. We all put on sunscreen, mine was
spf45, supposedly waterproof. Now, granted, I put it on lightly so I could
get a little color, but I am very fair. I am now burnt to a crisp! Yesterday
I was so dehyrated I just wanted to drink cold drinks and sleep.
Today, since I'm so burnt I must be careful as we go out on our horseback
riding excursion at Costa Maya, I'll have to wear a very light but long sleeved
shirt while out today. The sun is supposed to be brutal again today.
I am just hoping that I'll be recovered enough by Friday to go snorkeling
again at Castaway Cay.

Ok, I'm off! :wave2:
