Friday 26.3.04.........
WOke the usual ungodly hour of 4 am on holiday and were very good as we waited til 6 to jump in the pool.
Lazed around and decided as Mum wasnt that well and we were all shattered we'd leave MK til in the week. We needed to pick up rental cars today so wed then visit DD and have a wander, just taking it easy for our first day. Not like us at all!
Dad crammed us all into his car to go and pick up cars from whjat wed been told was The Courtyard by Mariott at DD....hmmm....neglected to mention that it had changed name to Holiday Inn!!!!! Bit confusing as we drove up and down trying to find it (nobody listened to me when I said try Holiday Inn)
Long queue for Dollar...and my heart sank when he said no smaller cars left! Oh great! Not only would it be my first drive over here but Id be driving a huge thing too!....gulp!
ANyway, within 10 minutes of getting in the car I was fine...its difficult coming to terms with the size but otherwise fine.
drove back to villa and sat with a coke and recovered from the ordealof my driving. Becky was up and ready...wow!...and wearing her shorts! (ok theyre 'bondage' style but still....)
Mum was feeling brighter and raring to go and use her scooter (actually she was petrified of it) so after we all sat and relaxed and chilled out for a while (this will be a recurring theme) we got in our cars and headed off to Downtown Disney.
Managed to lose Mum & dad and the others....hee hee.....before we even got there but met outside Ghirardellis Just had to stop and have a giant ice cream sundae to hep us with the shopping YUM! Spent ages in the giant Disney shop and bought a lovely Tinkerbell towel. Persuaded Becky not to buy the kitties silly Disney hats........poor things!
Browsed in all the shops while Jamie played with the lego. Over to the west side with Mum managing to avoid people very well! She looks like the Queen on a throne, as the ECV has red velvet padding! Lovely!
Mum & dad went back to villa while we looked at guitars in Georges then into Virgin for several CDs, DVDs and i read half a book!
Stopped off at Wynn Dixies and bought billions of drinks and food....including Smirnoff Ice, Margerita Mix and beer
Swim time again before getting ready to go to red Lobster for dinner........big mistake as its packed with an hour wait! Only place we could get in was a little chinese by the supermarket which was ok but none of really fancied chinese...oh well, we'll know better next time!
Home and coffee then bed by 9.30 again.
oh I havent mentioned the weather have I? Its LOVELY!!!!!!!!!!

Should've let her buy the kittie outfits, though - I was desperate to get some for ours, but Matt put his foot down!
