With the Star Trek references, aka Scotty remarks, I was talking Trekkie stuff.
Being "Assimilated" means being taken over by the evil "Borg".

So, if I begin putting horsey pics in my posts and using caps hEre aNd thErE, you will know, I have been "assimilated" into the current 10 Day Holiday thread....

Dubbya- Don't forget to post a photo of your prom dress! :rotfl2:

To the best of my knowledge, the 5Js booked on board for the 10 day holiday cruise as well. I hope everything is ok w/ them--I haven't seen any posts.

Andrew-I love the picture of Chuck on the floor and John and Charlie on chairs!! That is classic!! Also, thank you for defending attorneys!!

Lisa

Hey, don't anybody worry about John. I am predicting that he will show up and post the 1000th post on this thread! :rotfl:

TCD

Actually that 10 x-mas thread is moving in on 3000. I figured the CJ's would show up then over there.......

Willie-did you pm your family's info to jEn? That's what I did and she added our info.

Lisa
Lisa, I emailed my info to her, then a few days later I posted it on the thread. But she is a 17 year old, so I am sure she has stuff to do. Now that Lampy is on that thread, she may want to start a teen thread, though!

How tall is Chuck.

Chuck says he is 6' 8". I think he must have grown some since he was last measured.

Take a look at this photo:

chuck.jpg

For reference, this was taken in AP on the last night of the cruise. After Dinner, there was a little show, and we all stood on our chairs and swung our napkins around, and screamed, etc. (we are a wild bunch aren't we ;) )

Anyway, as 5J John and Ratt45 Charlie were standing on their chairs, Chuck walks by. In this photo, John and Charlie are standing on chairs, and Chuck is on the ground! Chuck is a tall fellow.

I don't know who that bratty kid is sticking her head in the photo! Some people just can't control their children. It's a big problem on the ship.

TCD

Andrew-Too funny!Do you mind if I save it?I told Charlie he has to get back on here, and read the messages. He is busy with work right now!

Andrew (TCD) was talking about this last week. He gave me the information and I posted the original email to the web page with the Shoreside Survival Kit.

Well, Jeff, I wasn't going to say anything to burst Lampy's bubble, but now that you mention it, it looks like DCL finally got around to e-mailing the B list.

Congrats on the e-mail, Lampy.

BTW, for those of you who haven't checked it out, the download is pretty cool. One view is like watching that TV channel on the ship that shows the view from the front of the ship.

Andrew,

C'mon, book the thing and give it to your family for Christmas this year. Be a hero, be daring, be an adventurer, like Laurie and Davis!

W

OK Scotty, so you don't think I am a hero, or daring, or an adventurer? Well you are wrong, and I have the photographic evidence to prove it.

Now, I realize that by your standards this may not seem so daring. After all, what could be more daring then you wearing your Star Trek gear to school as a young fella growing up in Texas? I'm sure that made you real popular with the ladies (and the Texas fellas too).

But I digress.

Back to today's story.

It happened about 7 0r 8 years ago. As you know, I live on the Gulf coast in the central part of Florida. Wind surfing is a popular activity around these parts, so one day, I decided to take the family out wind surfing. Mrs. TCD didn't think it was a great idea for the children, but she went along with it anyway. (That was back in the days before she had me figured out). So, off we go into the gulf wind surfing. We weren't out there any time at all before a pod of dolphins comes by. Of course, the TCD kids want to ride on them, so we let them. The TCD twins hop on one dolphin's back, and Mrs. TCD and the other TCD kid hops on another dolphin. I stay on the windsurfer. Off we go. Suddenly, we hear some spooky music. You know, that tune from Jaws, right before the shark appears? That is the one.

Out of no where, a great white jumps, and grabs the oldest DD right off the dolphin's back. Mrs. TCD jumps on top of the shark, and tries to get DD out of his mouth. I have to sail up on the wind surfer to save the day.

It all turned out better than expected. All the TCD kids were fine, and I saved the day!

You don't believe me? Well here's a photo of the whole thing:

So you think Laurie and Davis are daring. What did they ever do that was daring? Swim with some trained sharks in the safety of a steel cage? Whoopdy Do! How is that risky or daring? What did they ever do that was risky or daring?
