OK Scotty, so you don't think I am a hero, or daring, or an adventurer? Well you are wrong, and I have the photographic evidence to prove it.
Now, I realize that by your standards this may not seem so daring. After all, what could be more daring then you wearing your Star Trek gear to school as a young fella growing up in Texas? I'm sure that made you real popular with the ladies (and the Texas fellas too).
But I digress.
Back to today's story.
It happened about 7 0r 8 years ago. As you know, I live on the Gulf coast in the central part of Florida. Wind surfing is a popular activity around these parts, so one day, I decided to take the family out wind surfing. Mrs. TCD didn't think it was a great idea for the children, but she went along with it anyway. (That was back in the days before she had me figured out). So, off we go into the gulf wind surfing. We weren't out there any time at all before a pod of dolphins comes by. Of course, the TCD kids want to ride on them, so we let them. The TCD twins hop on one dolphin's back, and Mrs. TCD and the other TCD kid hops on another dolphin. I stay on the windsurfer. Off we go. Suddenly, we hear some spooky music. You know, that tune from Jaws, right before the shark appears? That is the one.
Out of no where, a great white jumps, and grabs the oldest DD right off the dolphin's back. Mrs. TCD jumps on top of the shark, and tries to get DD out of his mouth. I have to sail up on the wind surfer to save the day.
It all turned out better than expected. All the TCD kids were fine, and I saved the day!
You don't believe me? Well here's a photo of the whole thing:
So you think Laurie and Davis are daring. What did they ever do that was daring? Swim with some trained sharks in the safety of a steel cage? Whoopdy Do! How is that risky or daring? What did they ever do that was risky or daring?
