"The Magic October 18, 2003--Disembarkation Day"

I returned this morning from the 10/11. Have not checked the other threads yet, but in case no one answered the BIG question, the word on Golden Mickeys is . . . .

The "new" cast is rehearsing in Canada and will be boarding the Magic in less than two weeks to understudy to the current cast for the regular shows until the changeover. <B><I>Golden Mickeys</I> is currently set to "debut" on the Magic on December 11</B>. This info comes from the entertainment department at the <I>Walt Disney Theatre</I> onboard. The show that will be discontinued is "<I>Morty the Magician</I>".

BTW - I have seen <I>Golden Mickeys</I> 3 times so far, on the <I>Wonder</I>, and it is FANTASTIC (especially Tarzan!).

Postcard idea: cut the picture from the front of the photo folders for 5x7 and 4x6 pictures into postcard size and mail them. They are a bit stiffer than paper and should work as postcards well.
We have a ton of them!

Jan :earsgirl:

Thanks for the Golden Mickeys Info. OK Now we have to rebook we will miss it. I am glad tehy are rel=placing Morty though. It was cute but once you've seen it once....

Hey everyone!! No more live reports from the 10/11 cruisers. We just arrived back home about an hour ago, and I'm still feeling the "rocking" of the ship. What a fantastic ship the Magic is!!! This was our first cruise ever, and we are so excited that we rebooked for 10/02/04. I have a TON of laundry to do tomorrow, but tonight I'm just going to sleep.

:wave2: Hi Amy!! I am also still feeling the rocking of the ship also. I think it is funny!!

Lots of clothes to wash here also. It took us 11 hours to get home. I just got the girls to bed. I hope they sleep a long time.
I think I am going to bed as well.

Talk to you later.........Hope

Just back...

Eric winning the cruise was fantastic, haven't seen this posted, but SilentShot (jeff) and my Jeff were panelists on Eric's game... it was a total DIS effort

About the couple who missed their boat. We were inside Carlos and Charlies, the couple hopped the wall.. well he hurdled, she wasn't in any condition to. We saw them run up and down the block a few times, before they were able to get on the Pilot's boat to head out to the Carnival ship. We think we figured out why they missed the boat, Carnival doesn't remind or tell their passengers about the time difference in Grand Cayman or Cozumel. Makes me glad we sail Disney.

We've rebooked for the 10/9 Western Caribbean in a Cat 3 for Mom's birthday.

We highly rec' the Dolphin SWIm on Cozumel, not the Disney excursion. Had a great trail ride with Honeysuckle trail rides on Cayman. Catamaran Racing in Key West also rocked.

Ate at Palo's 4 times, high tea, brunch and dinner x 2. We walked up one night for a glass of wine at the bar, the head waiter knew us from chit chatting with him all week and offered to find us dinner ressies for that night. We could refuse?

High tea was great, you can request any tea you have at high tea at anytime in Palo. They will prepare it for you. African Nectar is amazing.

Now back to real life.. wonder if anyone has started a 10/9 thread yet?

Hi Friends,
we're back in Good (C)old Germany at 37ºF:eek: -I wanna be back in the Carribean :hyper:
After two uneventful flights we landed in Frankfurt two hours ago, picked up our car at the office and drove home.
A funny episode from our trip: Arriving at the gate in Orlando we were paged by the handling aged. When we reported to the Delta-Desk at Gate 73 the guy asked us "Do you play the lottery in Germany?" I asked myself "How the heck does he know about our free cruise?". But then we were informed, that he needed our seats to enable a large family to sit together and therefore had us moved to First Class. You may imagine that we didn't exactl complain about this :teeth:
Folks, we already miss Y'all and can't wait to meet you 10/02/04

We're back home and what a shock it is coming back to reality! Still feel like I'm on the ship, rocking away. How funny! Had a fantastic time on our first cruise and so glad we booked again for 10/2/03. Missing everyone already! Safe travels to everyone still on their way home.

I see we have another time traveler, going back in time to cruise on 10/2/03, huh??? Let's see, that would put you on the Wonder, not the Magic, LOL!!!

Just havin' some fun with ya, LOL!!! ::yes::

Hi Everyone,
Here we are back in Orlando and what do I do first, but check the Disboards... must be an addiction! The cruise was wonderful and we had so much fun that I hated to get off and come home to laundry and a regular life... oh well, I can work thinking of saving money for next time!:hyper:

Tammy, I can't believe I didn't actually meet you on board, after talking all that time, I thought I'd recognize you instantly!

Amy, we need to have a crop scheduled ahead of time for next year so we can all do it!

Verandah Man, Thanks so much for the sailaway photos from KW, we are beautiful! Were you at Jetty Park when we left port? We looked for you, but didn't see you... were you hiding?

We loved the pretty ship and the new carpets were beautiful! I finally (on my 3rd cruise) sat in a deck chair! We ran out on Friday night at midnight to do it, just so we could say we did. We have always been too busy to do it before, I can't believe they are so comfortable!

I don't know how many of you saw my son with his fedora dancing and doing hat tricks, but he was so funny! (Not that I'm bragging). A woman (not a Dis'er) about my age,hit on him one night and I just about slugged her! The next day she was on the boat next to me on the way to stingray city and bragged about the hot young redhead she about nailed the night before except for his meddling parents! That time I about knocked her overboard, but contented myself with telling her I was the meddling mom... I'm going to have to warn him about older women!

The cruise was amazing and I loved stingray city again! Cozumel was beautiful and castaway cay was even better than last year! Palo is again something not to be missed. I can still taste the hot chocolate souffle'.... ahhh to be back on board.... Renae

I was at home (eating my dinner) taking all the photos off the port cam, two palms cam, and Key West cam.

Twinave got a message to meet with the Manager of Palo, Not Happy that we had almost taken over Palo for Brunch We ended up being split up into 2 groups on 2 different days .... then when we got to Palo we had 3 different tables one on on side on on the other and one in the private room Was not happy with DCL for doing this to us.....

Glad you all had a great time. Can't wait to read all your trip reports.:D

Joanna

Hygiene99 - thank you for your post - The Christmas 2003 bunch was discussing this very thing this weekend -

I wonder why the manager was not happy - the restaurant is there for everyone to enjoy -- what difference would it have made if it was a group or all of those same individuals individually?? Your team captains obviously got in line first, which Disney makes the name of the game when it comes to these reservations.

Sounds like you had a terrific time - Tuesday is 60 days and excursion booking day for our cruise/thread members -- we are looking forward to reading your trip reports.

Thanks again.

Please post links to your trip reports here so those of us connected to you by having subscribed to this thread will be able to find them.

Thanks in advance!

Oops, Not entirely correct. When I as a teamleader arrived at Palo's, I was told Monday was already booked and he tried to get me to book on Thursday. Told him I wasn't interested in booking any other day but Monday. He then asked if I was part of the "big group". He then said how people cannot book for other people, everyone must book their own. I said but I am booking for other people because we want to sit together. He said we cannot have a large group take over Palo's. He then tried to get me to book Thursday again. I said no, sorry, and started to walk away. He then called me back and said I should see him on Sunday and he will see what he can do. Next thing I hear, Ave has a meeting with him for later on Saturday to work things out, which didn't really work out the way we would have liked but what can you do? I think Ave did a terrific job. Thanks so much Ave!

Anyway, just checking in. We arrived home today at just before 4 p.m. We enjoyed the ship, the crew, the shows, the food, the ports of call, the weather but mostly WE ENJOYED OUR FELLOW CRUISETOBERFESTERS!!! Sorry we didn't get to meet you all but we met most. You guys really help make a truly great cruise even better. It was a pleasure to spend time ( be it long or short or even just a wave) with you. Thanks so much!
