If you compare the statements of Watson, James and Zegler there are differences.your obsession with Zegler is weird.
Emma Watson on playing Belle - "She is a little different," Watson said. "I think we had a little bit more space and more room to tell a bit more of Belle's story in this one. I hope she's a slightly more modern version...she was updated a little bit but she was pretty progressive in her DNA really. She was a bit of a rebellious Disney princess."
Lilly James on Cinderalla - “This is a girl that’s not sitting around waiting for a prince to come and save her. That she’s got this unbelievable strength and it doesn’t come from fighting or from what happens, it comes from within. And the strength is her courage and her kindness and that, if she has that, she can, in a way, deal with, as best she can, what life throws at her”.
Zegler on playing Snow White - “I just mean that it’s no longer 1937,” Zegler said. “We absolutely wrote a ‘Snow White’ that ... she’s not going to be saved by the prince, and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love; she’s going to be dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be and that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave and true.”
Statement from Disney on leaked photos - Meanwhile, in another statement to The Independent, a Disney spokesperson clarified, “The images that ran [in the Daily Mail] are not official film photos. These show stand-ins for some talent and do not feature Rachel Zegler or Andrew Burnap.”
Watson acknowledges that Belle was already a rebellious princess and she wants to continue on that road.
James describes Cinderella in a way that does apply to the 1950s animation.
Zegler's choice of words shows she has prejudice against the original movie, because the original Snow White was already fair, brave and true, which came from within, without her father telling her that. If you just look at that aspect the new movie has another problem, they are going to spell out Snow's path, so there can be no misunderstandings.
