Little tiny things that irritate you about WDW...Let's vent.

I'm also irritated at all the princess meals popping up everywhere, particularly in the castle and at Akershus. They used to be my two favorite restaurants, but I can't really go there as an adult with no kids.... character meal with Mickey, sure, but not a PRINCESS meal.

As a dad to daughters only I always end up at princess meals. But I must confess that I really don't mind. Hot girl all "princessed up". Not a bad way to eat a meal! Almost as fun as Hooters!!!

Continuing with the stroller theme, I hate when it is park closing and the masses are slowly trudging to the exits. It's crowded and everyone is pretty much forced to take itty bitty baby steps. Then there's always some family who thinks that they can use the stroller as a battering ram to get them through the crowd. Grrrr, I hate that!!!!

In the same situation, it irks the poo out of me when the crowds are working their way through and the scooter people beep to get people out of their way. Grrrr, I hate that too!

Ouch! The cutest thing I did see tho was a little old lady in an electric scooter, in the land at Epcot, nearly running everyone over. She said "this is the first time I have ever driven one of these things" :lmao: You couldn't be mad at her :)

LOL! I remember my BIL's volunteering to take their daughters to stand in line and wait to see Ariel!

Oh you have got to be kidding?! :scared1: So did they have some for you to buy?

Yeah - real scary sometimes on public transporation with everyone holding on to the overhead bars!!!!:sad1: One of the little joys of my home!

I finally found some 6month old stuff in a little store that caters to westerners. I now make sure I take several months supply back with me after a visit to the USA.

These threads are always therapeutic. Here are some of my little pet peeves:

- people banging heels with strollers on the way out of MK after Wishes.
- extra long bus queues at MK park closing (Do you see a pattern here?)
- lack of free wireless internet at the resorts (el cheapo)
- having to sit face to face with strangers on certain benches on the WDW railroad (ummm, awkward  )
- that Jedi Master dude at MGM who passed over my polite and earnest DS three straight times when picking volunteers this past June (I would swear he smirked at us that third time)

I had a couple of friends who needed scooters this last trip (and by the way, you wouldn't be able to look at them and tell, so I do wonder how some think they know how to tell, they can get up and walk onto rides and such, just couldn't walk for hours).......and you would not BELIEVE how many people think they can just run right in front of the scooters too! I mean RIGHT in front, brushing up against it. There were points in the crowd where the walking friends had to serve as battering rams for the scooters or we actually couldn't move for people "squeezing" by the scooters.

ahhh yes.....this happens on the parking lot trams! Sometimes I think people are going to knock one another out of the way to get on those things!

Can mention a minor vent about Disneyland instead?

There are certain rides where I expect I will be seated next to people I don't know-- Soarin', Star Tours, TOT, etc. And that is fine. However, I do NOT expect this on Pirates. Now to be fair I am usually there with my kids and most of the time Dh is with us too. So getting our own row is a given. But I have riden the ride with Dh only and once all by myself and I still got my own row.

A couple months ago I was at DL with my sister and we went to get on Pirates and I sit down and two more people squeeze into the same row. So now I am uncomfortably smushed -- worse yet against a guy I do not know with the added bonus of his camera case jabbing into my side. It totally ruined my ride. I don't know if this is a new thing, or it was just the CM, but I was tempted to write a letter (I didn't).

I could benefit from a scooter too (bad knees and back) but choose not to, at least now. My pet peeve isn't people using scooters to make mobility easier ( not those who need them daily) as much as those skipping the lines for buses and going in the back door with several friends or relatives. There should be an enforced limit of how many of your group can cut the line. I have seen 8 seats taken by these "friends" and others who waited for 30 minutes standing. I think it's wrong.

Speaking of bad smells. If I can smell that your baby has a poopie diaper, why can't you. Please change the poor little thing! Oh, and not on a table in a restaurant!

Another thing that irks me, those giant off-road strollers that people insist on bringing on the bus or monorail and figure that the "fold it up" rule doesn't apply to them. Thanks to the gigantic stroller, the 6 people behind you can't get on the bus. GRRRRRRR

Couldn't agree more! On my trip last month, I was shocked at how gross the bathrooms were. The bathrooms at rest stops are cleaner. :sad2:

I also agree with the internet access charges. They are just plain highway robbery, IMO!

When were you there? We were at Disney Oct 13-19, and I was supprised at how clean the bathrooms were! There was only 1 time that I even entered a bathroom that didn't have a CM in it cleaning.

What bugs me is how busy October has become. What happened to my short lines?:confused3

I'm sure someone already said this because I didn't read the whole thread but it annoys me to no end when people get up to the gates and decide to get their tickets out at that point. And then it always seems like they can't find them all or have some other difficulty. Have the tickets ready, people!

I'm irritated when the sign says 45 minute wait, and then you ask the CM who says incredulously "WHY WOULD YOU BELIEVE THE SIGN?"

Gee, I don't know why would I? Update your signage WDW!!! What are you running a Mickey Mouse operation?

There seemed to be plenty of people around when we were there last week, but the lines weren't long. Well, now, they were in the EE hours park though. Whichever park has EE for evening especially seems to be crowded.

We're DVC members, so this is no longer an issue...but it used to peeve me to pay for a long distance call to book a vacation. Sheesh...the Holiday Inns we stayed at on the way down and back all have 800 phone #s, why couldn't WDW get off the wallet?

Um, 1-800-828-0228

How funny! We were there the week before and I rarely saw someone in there cleaning. At the time, I thought that was odd. We always see someone cleaning up. Maybe it was because it was so darn busy.

We were surprised at how crowded the parks were every day. In fact, at the Halloween party, no one left after the second parade! They all stayed right until the end. The lines never went down!:sad1:

Resort charge for Internet - seems to turn off a lot of us. Are you listening Disney? Cheap is unbecoming! :surfweb:

No diet Pepsi or Dr. Pepper.

And my biggy - NO Sweet tea! Come on people, this is the south!

ROPE DROP!!! I know most people love this but ohhh dear God it's the most irritating thing ever!!! For one, it's dangerous! Letting all those people into the park to stand side by side and then letting them charge for the most popular ride at the same time...I feel bad for anyone who trips and falls! Secondly, for those who have been there for an hour before the gates open to be the first in the park, it's really not fair for those who arrive just as the guests are allowed in only to barge their way to the rope! MEAN!! And thirdly, it makes the most popular ride's queues so long for the first 1/2 hour that the park is open! GRRRRR Damn rope drop!!
