Little tiny things that irritate you about WDW...Let's vent.

Why are people so angry at WDW?

Because it is usually crowded and hot, and always expensive.

I had a great time when I went, but fundamentally, after a few hours of getting run over, bumped into, hit with backpacks, waiting in line, listening to shouting, whining, crying, screeching, and all other manner of communication, all for $100 a day before you even buy food or water, and in 95 degree heat and 75% humidity, well... lets just say I can understand why some people aren't all sunshine and rainbows.

I imagine the effect is magnified proportional to the number of children you are having to wrangle, as well.

Coke Products - We are Pepsi people. And I understand having only Coke products in the resorts and parks - but the Hess gas stations also only have Coke products in their stores!

~Amanda

Even with Coke products, I could not find a Barq's Root Beer anywhere a couple trips ago! I was craving root beer really bad, and I finally found one at the Hess station all the way at the bottom of the cooler. But it was the best root beer I ever had!

The obnoxious parents who ignore their kids and gripe about everything and say they can stick the DDP up their rear then scream at their kids to BE HAPPY.

Why are people so angry at WDW?

I have come across many of those parents screaming "Have fun whether you like it or not!" What?

Waiting in line for a ride, then when you're almost to the entrance the person in front of you calls for his family of 25 to jump in line. Why does Disney not have a policy on this?

People standing too close to me, when I'm in line. When you're kicking the backs of my heels, you're too close.

How about (on the way to a park) a whole bus load of adults sitting while you play human pinball with a 3 yr. between you & your SO everytime the bus would stop or make turns so the kid wouldn't get thrown to the ground cause there is nothing for him to hold on to cause he is too small.

When my kid was that age, I would just wait for another bus instead of hoping someone who got there before me would give up a seat. They rarely do.

eta: whoops just saw this is an old thread. I'm a dork.

When I am taking the train around and seeing the backsides of the buildings and how dirty they are. Irritates the beejeezuz out of me lol

The coffee - WHY WHY WHY can I not get DECENT Coffee while I'm on vacation. What I wouldn't give for a Starbucks by the end of the week. ~Amanda

Never been to WDW, just the original Disneyland. But I don't think I've ever seen "Decent coffee" and "Starbucks" in the same post before.:lmao:

Also, coffee is what I drink when I am at work. On vacation, the LAST thing I want is coffee.

When I'm walking along and someone just walks right in front of me. I don't like that.

And if I'm standing somewhere, and you need to get by, please just say "Excuse me" I WILL move. Don't just stand behind me giving me looks. I am not a mind reader. I don't know that you need to get by me. This also oes for every public place, because it ALWAYS happens to me.

If your child is tired and drifting off to sleep in the stroller, DO NOT wake them up and make them walk. I've seen this way too many times. I don't have kids yet, but Disney is exhausting for us adults. It's probably 20x more exhausting for children. You cannot shake a child out of a nap they obviously need and expect them to have fun and be lively. I understand it's expensive and all that jazz. But take 30-45 minutes (or longer) and just let the kid rest for a little. It also bothers me when parents are just too tired to talk to their kids. If you're child is acting up, please speak (not scream) to them.

I agree with the stroller at closing thing, at the end of the day everyone is tired, everyone wants to get in bed asap. Just because you have a child in a stroller does not mean to get to say "excuse me" 50 times and run over my heels. There's no room to move and just because I don't have a stroller with a child doesn't mean you get to push your way in front of me. The lack of free wi fi at the hotels is also a huge annoyance. :sad2:

I'm not fond of people that feel the need to announce (out loud) all of the items at a buffet as they pass them.

well, don't stand behind us! hubby is not blind, but vision is limited, esp. when coming indoors from being out in the sun. (and most restaurants are dark!). so we walk the buffet line together, and I Do say, out loud, everything that is available, so he knows whether to take it or not.
if we waited for his eyes to focus on every label, or even on the food, someone would be complaining about how slow we were)

People who think that because me and SO are adults, that they and their children should get priority treatment over us (cause Disney is for children).

it's not. it's for Families, and me and SO are a family as much as you and your two kids are.

If after a long day at the parks, i happen to get a seat on a bus, the only thing that will pry my but out of that seat is a senior, or an infant.

I didn't make the decision to drag my 3 year old through a really hot long day, have them stay up 4 hours past bedtime, and I am not going to be a victim of your poor planning.
