Little tiny things that irritate you about WDW...Let's vent.

Couldn't agree more! On my trip last month, I was shocked at how gross the bathrooms were. The bathrooms at rest stops are cleaner. :sad2:

I also agree with the internet access charges. They are just plain highway robbery, IMO!

I did not encounter this problem, TG! The only thing I wish people would do is press the little button to flush if the automatic flusher doesn't do it on its own! Don't walk away and leave your "stuff" there!!! :scared1:

While we're at it...Ladies, please remember to just glance behind you and check the seat. I don't want to sit in your pee or on your toilet seat liner.

What "irks me" are the parents who have to announce to the world (literally) just how much they paid for their vacation while trying to insist that the children have a great time.

As other posters have already pointed out, the coffee situation is a crying shame. We bring our own but wish we could buy a decent cup when we are in a park.

Some of the bathrooms.

Parent's lack of controlling of child's behavior. Don't give empty threats. THey learn that they are those.

Internet charges.

You know what bothers me?? That it is so far away.

Me too, you can stay at any budget motel and get free wireless but not on Disney property.

This is an easy answer: if you are in your room playing with free wireless internet access, you are not out spending money.

I have not read all the pasts so someone else might have already said this but what really bothers me is the lack of selection on the kid's meals at both ts and cs!! We all were on the dining plan on our last trip and headed over to Columbia Harbour house for lunch. we all had fish but they dont even have fish on the kids menu. The only choices were cold grilled chicken or mac n cheese. Come on its Disney why only give the poor kiddos two nasty choices!
This bothers me so much at every Disney restuarant!

Lots of gripes here, but only a few about how WDW does things.

If I were staying at a WDW resort... at WDW rates, I would expect free internet.

The bathrooms do seem to be worse. That would be a combination of WDW slacking off and guests being sloppier.

The lack of 800 phone numbers has puzzled me for a couple of decades now. I can only surmise that the feel the people will still call without one.

Number one on my WDW hit list would be how the imagineers seem to have "cheepened" WDW with more thrills and less charm.

As for the guests... I can only surmise that basic social skills and common courtesy have deteriorated over the years.

Smoking is probably my number one gripe. It's one thing if a person is not aware that smoking is allowed only in designated areas, but most of the smokers I see appear to be taking the attitude that they can and will smoke wherever they please. That just reeks of arrogance. I suppose WDW has to take some blame for insufficient reinforcement of the policy.

Watching parades from curbside is something I avoid these days. It doesn;t matter how early you claim your little piece of curb, people will push their kids in front of you and/or lean into your back the whole time. The same goes for Illuminations at Epcot. I've found it's simply better to stand back and watch. You'll see just about everything without being crowded.

I guess it goes with the territory that we must be defensive walkers in the parks. Strollers, wheelchairs, electric carts, and rude people can sometimes be tiring hazards. I've seen some abuse with the wheelchairs and electric vehicles, but it's not always easy to tell who really needs one. Some people, especially older folks, who can walk relatively well for shorter distances can find a WDW park a real challenge after a few hours.

Oh, the list goes on and on, but I'll keep going as long as I'm able.

The million and one people walking around WDW with buttons proclaiming that its their birthday, anniversary, first trip, billionth trip, etc. drives me nuts. No one really cares and I think that people wearing them do so because they think it will get them something.

Too funny. I'm always taken aback by what bothers other people. This, for example. I've never even noticed anyone wearing one of these (but I'm woefully unobservant, I'd make a terrible witness in a murder trial for example!:rotfl2:) but we did hear about them and got one for my mom when my sister and I took her for her 80th birthday. She was tickled pink and absolutely loved the attention she got from both cm's and other folks we encountered. You're right, no one really cares, but they pretended they did and that made Mom pretty happy.;)

I hate the "herding" that is done too but I suffer it semi-willingly. It also drives me batty when people stop dead in their tracks to look at a map....but considering I've done this too when I'm being an airhead, I try not to think nasty thoughts as I go by!:lmao:

The only thing that really bothers me that Disney could do something about is their reservations system. I hate that you have to reserve your dinner six months in advance.

Other than that, it's the guests. Particularly line cutters or people who think they have the right to push you aside so they can get a better view or seat.

You could have ordered them the adults chicken. We did that. Wouldn't have to "cheat" if they would leave it up to the parents and give better selections for the kids!! :rolleyes1

Oh...the Mickey and Minnie wedding ears are silly as well. I always feel sorry for the grooms because I can't imagine many of them choose those ears for themselves.

On a side note, we got married at Disney and wore the ears around on our honeymoon. We truely did it because it was fun, not because we wanted anything. What's funny is that the wedding ears were my DH's idea.....:lmao:

Anyway, I find people that can't give you personal space in line irritating. I always wonder if they really think being glued to my butt will get them on Peter Pan any faster.

Two years ago, a friend and I stayed at the Beverly Hills Hilton. Room was $426 a night. Imagine our surprise when we set up the laptop only to get a message that internet service was $10 additional dollars. That level of cheapness leaves a realllly bad taste in your mouth to the point where my friend (who was actually in town checking out hotels for a business meeting) said she would not stay there again. It's very bad business to charge high prices and then nickel and dime your guests.

The amount of STROLLERS!!!! Why do kids who are like 10 ride in them???

People not wearing enough deorderant :sad2:

Um...I live in China and nobody wears it over here - except me. So maybe some of that is foreign i.e. non american, people. Although it is certainly within the realm of possibility for an we americans to stink it up now and then.

BTW - should've seen me asking the clerks in china for deodorant and I could not yet speak the language. I looked like a monkey rubbing my arm pits trying to mimic what I was looking for.

:lmao: My kids are now 7 and 9. We haven't used a stroller for them at WDW in a long time. I was just looking at all of the strollers there last week and was glad that we don't have to deal with that anymore....now we deal with dd 7 walking at a snails pace :headache:

Oh you have got to be kidding?! :scared1: So did they have some for you to buy?

Continuing with the stroller theme, I hate when it is park closing and the masses are slowly trudging to the exits. It's crowded and everyone is pretty much forced to take itty bitty baby steps. Then there's always some family who thinks that they can use the stroller as a battering ram to get them through the crowd. Grrrr, I hate that!!!!

In the same situation, it irks the poo out of me when the crowds are working their way to the exit and the scooter people beep to get people out of their way. Grrrr, I hate that too!
