Litte Miss Perfect, Toddlers and Tiaras....

i looked at the site with the photos.:scared1: i cannot imagine getting a picture of my kid looking like that. whoever said stepford appearance was dead on.

Wow,those black and white photos creeped me out. Seriously!

Haven't watched the show but I'm a hobby photog so I clicked on that website. OMG i'm DYIN'!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think she has a set of eyes in Photoshop and she just cuts and pastes them in over and over again. They look more like those Madame whatshername dolls than anything else I've ever seen.

I have to show this to the creative director at work, he's gonna bust a gut :rotfl:

Ok, I figured out what she's doing, she's actually enlarging the eyes-there's a "grab" tool in Photoshop that lets you isolate the eyes and manipulate them, she's definitely enlarging them by at least 20%. It's why many of the eyes are way, way too close to the eyebrows.

I'm not a photographer, but you can CLEARLY see that something is amiss with the eyes! LOL. They all have this vacant, robot look to them. Yeah, I guess it's a "stepford look!"

I'm glad you posted, because when I saw those photos I wondered what a REAL photographer thought of those horrid horrid pictures!:sad2:

I was looking at the creepy B&W pictures on that site just now and four year old DD glanced at them and asked if she could please have one of those fancy dolls for her birthday. :rotfl:

I am guilty of DVRing Toddlers and Tiaras. It's a trainwreck and I can't look away. Even DH watches it with me. :sad2:

My views on it have all been mentioned before... it's just a world that I cannot understand and honestly don't want to understand. I can't wrap my head around it. :confused3

And those photographs on that website - :scared1:

I'm not a photographer, but I think she's got a couple sets of smiles too. There seems to be the same one or two smiles on every single picture. The smiles were weirding me out as much as the eyes.

I used to dance with someone who was on the show recently (earlier this week). I didn't see it, but my Mom told me about it.

Her mom has always disgusted me. She comp0letely lived through her daughter, and would scold her for the most ridiculous things (eating the other half of a bagel- when the Mom was HUGE). She alos admitted at her child's birthday party (I think she was turning 10 or around there) that she had no idea what her natural hair color was, since she has been consistently dying it since she was a toddler!

I hate pageants. I just don't understand why anyone would spend that much money tjust to have their child judged are superficial things. The kid would be better off learning an art or sport

I watch Toddlers & Tiaras & I just TiVo'd Little Miss Perfect. The thing that gets me about the dresses is that belly dancing costumes cost less than those & I probably have gotten a lot more use out of my $400 costume than those little girls get out of their dresses.

okay, some of you folks figured out the eyes (lol about the eyeballs being right up against the eyebrows! :lmao:) but what is UP with the tilt? In every single photo, the girl (or camera?) is tilted in the same direction, like almost to the point where you could measure the angle with a protractor and it would be the same on every photo!

Huh? Some of them, it looks like her head is tilted (okay, weird, but I get it) but in a lot of them, it just sort of looks like the girl sat or stood there totally normally, but the photographer tilted the camera to take the pic or cropped it so that everything is at a slant. Whyyyy? If you look at the "natural" photo section (boy, that's a misnomer :lmao:) it is even more obvious, because some of the kids are standing against a wall or some kind of background, and it is obvious that they could not possibly stand that way -- they cropped the photo slanted.

What????

OMG!!! Those pics look like dolls that have escaped It's a Small World or something. I'm going to have nightmares.

That show is nuts! It gets me how some of the mom's go on about keeping their child's natural beauty, but then they plaster make up, fake hair and get those awful photos done! It drives me nuts. Also, I was watching the show and one mom went on about college money. If you were that concerned about your kid's college money, then out the money you use on pageants and put it in the bank! Also, I keep hearing about "sportsmanship" but one episode I watched the mom was complaining while the daughter was pouting. Will someone buy these little girls a chemistry set?

Out of the mouths' of babes! That's exactly what they look like!! Check out the "Attire" section of the site. Some of the pictures look like they photoshopped an adult's head on a child's body!:scared1:

I started out tivoing the show, thinking it would be cute. I ended up erasing what I hadn't seen and stopped watching it. I hated seeing those little girls made up to look like hookers and I feel so sorry for the mom wannabee's...they really are living through their children. This show actually makes me sick.
ls.

:thumbsup2 That is dead on- those little kids could be out walking the streets with how they look! I got physically ill when one of the "moms" told her daughter to go out there and "flirt with the judge" and another told her child to use her finger to sort of tell the judge to "come here big boy"- give him your "come hither" look-----uggg ugggg--- what the HECK are they teaching their children???? I seriously think the majority of those "parents" should have CPS called on them! Why woulod they make their innocent little kids into little hooker wanna bes????

Holy cow! I hadn't seen either of these shows but I'm watching Little Miss Perfect now. :scared1:These moms freak me out. I just heard one mother say, "I think people that don't approve of pageants just have unattractive children." :rotfl2:

I feel so sorry for the little girls and even more sorry for their siblings who seem to become second class citizens in the quest for their sister to win some stupid made up "title."

An evening gown competition????? When the heck does a child wear an evening gown?

DH had to leave the room. :rotfl:
