I feel spoiled this year too. Of course, I haven't gotten a Christmas present in a few years so I guess that is OK!

We had an excellent Christmas here!
I got a great paperback book from hubby and a pair of slippers from my mother-in-law. (mother-in-law also tucked a $20 in the toe of the slippers which was fun to find. LOL)

A watch from my favorite sister (it's ok, the whole family knows!), DH gave 2 things I already have, so they get returned for something we don't have (a toaster oven), also he gave an Alabaster trinket box (he says I always leave my jewlery everywhere, he's right), a huge glass fish (I collect them), a wooden fish (for the fish collection, guess we are branching out), a 5 times magnifying lighted mirror (it's a good thing, really, to see your face HUGE), and a box of manicure things. He felt really badly about the stuff that has to go back, but I am no help as to what I want, because I don't want anything. Just that we had the day together and he washed my Mustang, that is gift enough.

I am the worst peeker in the world!!!!! I love to unwrap and rewrap my presents before CHristmas....I just can't help my self... So since I am watching the BIL's house I could not resist opening my new Kate Spade purse with matching wallet, American Girl Coconut change purse and the adorable Westie ornament and the cash that was in the wallet about a week before Christmas. Then mom sends cash, dad sends cash and my sister's present is on it's way...well the dear boyfriend knows I am a peeker and will not put my present under the tree....go fuigure, so last night he gives me this HUGE heavy box and inside there is a can of spagettio's, refried beans and a little white leather box with a beautiful diamond ring!! I cried and cried (spagettio's will do that to a girl you know,) and then got the card with round trip tickets to Vegas in March! I guess I did pretty good. Hope everybody had a great Christmas and has a wonderful and blessed new year!

I love all my gifts! Don't have to return a thing!

My DH got my a beautiful bracelet, and the matching earrings are on order and will be here shortly. My mom & dad gave me a necklace and ring that match what DH gave me. They are David Yerman "knockoffs" - two toned gold & silver with blue topaz stones.

I got some clothes - a great quilted jacket, and a shirt that goes with it.

And two purses that I just love! One of them will go with just about anything, dressy or casual, and the other one is so cute and different, I think I'm going to have to buy a whole new outfit just to go with the purse, LOL!

My parents and my inlaws both gave us a nice check, that will come in handy next week when we go on vacation!

- A watch. I did not like it either ,but, I feel if I tell my husband it will break his heart.
In my defense,I like to say,that this is the first time I return something that he gives me,but, I also have a collection of jewelry that he has given to me before that have spider webs (lol)
since I was too chicken to tell him I did not like them.Also, he did go christmas shopping for me yesterday at 4pm.

that this Christmas was not as in years past.

We had no Christmas gift exchange between my husband and myself, but this is not unusual as we always agree that we do enough all year long that we don't feel the need for Christmas gift giving to each other.

We usually would get some things for our DD (16), but we helped her with a down payment on a car for her (she's making her own car payments) a month ago and the car insurance is out of sight, so we just gave her $50.

We are WAY over our limits on charge accounts and couldn't see getting any more in debt...

I do have to admit that, as a result, we were able to focus more on what's the most important to all of us -- being together and our health. I had been very sick the year before, and I'm just glad not to have had any more hospital visits this year.

We are looking forward to our Disney Magic Western Cruise next May and we are thankful for that!

For the exchange we did I got a gift certificate from one of my favorite golf courses... and of course $100 from Mom & Dad
And my MIL & FIL got my a memory card for my game cube..

Wow, you guys cleaned up!

DH and I always just exchange one or two gifts. This year I got a beautiful tanzinite ring and some bath and body works lotions and body sprays. I'm always happy with whatever I get, DH has good taste.

The boys both made me Kwanza placemats. I'm so happy that they go to schools that are so culturally diverse - and even though I don't celebrate Kwanza, the placemats are beautiful.

DH spoiled me rotten this year!!! He got a little bonus that he didn't tell me about and he bought me a remote car starter for my car!!!! No more getting in to a cold car for me

I also got a new wool coat from my parents, a couple of Minnesota Gopher sweatshirts, beautiful burgendy charger plates, gift certificates, etc.


We had a wonderful Christmas visiting all of our family and friends. I crashed very early last night and I'm still sleepy!
