Lisa's Wish Journal - Now we have gone Dopey.

Sounds like you have a nice weekend ahead of you, Lisa. :goodvibes Hope you and your DH are able to get a movie in and go out to dinner. :wizard:

Thanks Tracy

Well, we did get dinner last night, but no movie. I looked them over and didn't even know what most of them were about. Plus, I was tired yesterday, not sure why other than I was up super late Thursday night.

Yesterday was another quiet day at work. Hardly anyone there which is a good thing, means I can get work done. Rained like the dickens in the afternoon. DD got off with April for their weekend adventure. She was just suppose to spend one night, but April asked for enough clothes for the whole weekend, in case DD wanted to stay. DS didn't go on his youth trip. They were going to a water park and it was suppose to storm all evening. There aren't any buildings there for them to have their meetings and all in so I figured it would be cancelled. He went to the football game instead to work with the fire department.
I went off to Slidell to meet DH who I knew was already running late. I had errands to do, so it wasn't a problem. He finally got into New Orleans at 7:50 an hour and half late. We ended up at Olive Garden at 9:00. I like eating late there. No wait for a table, the wait staff was on the ball, didn't have to wait long for food and it wasn't crowded. We had a very nice dinner. DS called to say he was home and the game had ended early and please bring home some bread sticks.

Today E and I walked earlier. E stayed for 1 hour and 20 minutes. She did good today, I was very proud of her. As usual I lost track of how far we walked, happens when I am talking. I am estimating between 3.5-4 miles. We were kind of slow today. After E left I stayed and did another two miles.:woohoo: I was tired, but very happy. And not as tired as last week. Almost 1/2 way there.

My goal is to be doing 14 miles by the first Saturday of December. I have been at this since the beginning of March and it is finally getting easier to add distance. I just have to keep reminding myself to just focus on endurance. Endurance will bring speed. I am not looking to be speedy Gonzalos, just able to maintain a 15 minute mile for the entire distance.

Oh, today was a good mail day. I received four $25 Disney gift cards for the annual pass discounts cards I gave out. Was looking for 4 more, but I don't know for sure if those cards were used. I also received my two Subway cards from Coke Rewards. Plus some CVS coupons. :cool1:

Hope everyone has a great Saturday.:goodvibes

Spent the rest of yesterday at home, cleaning (didn't get much done though) and taking care of other stuff. Last night DD stayed a second night with April so DH and I took DS out for dinner (subway) and then went by Home Depot. DD wants her room redone in ICarly. Can't find much other than bedding. I am looking for a new lamp preferably one with a night light in it. Didn't find one in our HD, so we went to Lowe's in Slidell. Didn't find one there, so we went across the street to another HD. Didn't find one there so we went to the big one across town. Not there either. Went by Bed, Bath and Beyond and Pier 1. Nope, nothing. So we went to Target and got the bedding and a night light that plugs in. They did have a lamp that would match the bedding, but she never used her lamp other than for a night light, so...... maybe no lamp.

I gave all the Princess stuff to April for her DD. Chloee looked at it all and goes "But I want a dinosaur room." Before I left she had pulled out all of her dinosaurs and put them around her room like decorations. Hmmmmmm, wonder who is going to win that battle.

Yesterday's food was good. Haven't posted that in a while.
Breakfast - cereal (late)
No lunch and I can't remember a snack
Dinner - 6inch turkey subway, couple chips and 1/3 DS' cookie
Snack - cereal

Today's food
Breakfast - cereal
Lunch - left over lazagne (?)
Dinner - 2 slices pizza

No exercise today. I was too tired. Got up a 4:45am after going to bed at 12:30am. Why? Glad you asked.

We are going to the WORLD!!!!!:woohoo::banana::cool1::woohoo::banana:
In 90 days!!!!!!

Check out my new rotating banner. Isn't it cool. My friend Mary (Maroo) helped me do it.

When we returned from our trip in June one of the first things April said to me was, "David (her DH) felt so bad about Chloee (her DD) being sad while y'all were all gone that he said we could go with you for Thanksgiving."
(We had decided that our Thanksgiving tradition to go to WDW)
What she didn't know was on our way home we had discussed maybe not going back this year. DH thought 3 times in one year might be too much. I told April I didn't know if we were going, so she asked if I would at least help them plan their trip.
Me, help plan???? I would love too. Help other people at work all the time.

After much thought and prayer and working up a spread sheet, I thought it might be doable. We had a big discussion about it and DH just doesn't want to have to sacrifice for the trip. So, we compromised. I'll be real careful with my spending and we will stay at a Value, but yet do Deluxe Dining. The Free Dining that came out helped a lot. I have been working very hard on the various web sites and with my yearly award from work and a couple other things, we'll be able to swing it. At least things are looking promising right now.

So we have reservations and today I made all of our dining reservations. Which is why I was up at 4:45am my time. I wasn't sure what time the automated system rebooted. Today it rebooted at 6:00am Eastern Time, 5:00am my time. The system works, but was real slow and some of the restaruants I couldn't reserve. I wasted a lot of time trying to get TRex, LeCellier and Biergarten. Those three woud not come up, kept telling me there were too many people in the system. But I got CRT with no problem and most everything else exactly when I wanted it. Just a couple I had to modify times on a little. The CM (Troy) who helped me with the rest was great. He got me Le Cellier and Beirgarten right when I wanted them and tried for TRex, but it just wasn't happening. I finally got TRex later today, but had to go for an off time. I am going to keep trying to change that one to a more reasonable time though. I'm excited. Can you tell? I was really bummed that we might not go and then get back into our slump.

Oh, got the girls at BBB also and I found out that one of DD's friends from PreK will be there the same week, so I scheduled her for the same time. We are going to try to get together a couple of times so the girls can spend a little time together. They live a bit from us and the girls go to different schools now. Interesting though is DD's friend goes to the school that April teaches at.
Seems I have started a trip report doesn't it. Sorry. I am just so excited. 90 days.......wow.

Lisa, I am so glad you are going to WDW for Thanksgiving!!!! That is always the best news to hear;). Glad you got your dining plans made, that is always a huge relief. So where are you staying? That trip will be here before you know it!

Your food and exericse look good. And glad you got a dinner out with your hubby on Friday night. That is always so nice and I love Olive Garden!

Hope your day has been a good one.:)

:woohoo:Woohoo!!!! Another trip to Disney!:woohoo: Very exciting!!! What ADRs were you able to make besides CRT?

Food and exercise look spot on! Great job, Lisa!!!:cheer2:

I hope you have a wonderful day today!

Hi Tracy and Amy, thanks for stopping by.

Yes, very, very excited. DH is also, although he would never admit it.
We are staying at AS Movies. But my goal is to stay at all of the resorts at least once and we did a Deluxe last year.

List of ADRs:
Breakfasts:
Tusker House
Hollywood & Vine
CRT - girls
Crystal Palace - Guys
Chef Mickey
Ohana's
Akershus

Lunches:
Le Cellier - Thanksgiving
Tutto Italia

Dinners:
1900 Park Fare
TRex
Boma's
Mama Melrose
Biergarten
Crystal Palace

I am not making the guys go to CRT as it is a 2TS and I feel it would be wasted on them. Thanksgiving night we eat at Biergarten's and the girls (Aly & Chloee) will be going to the kids club at the Yacht Club. I am determined to make all of the ADRs this year. April was amazed when I showed her the spread sheet I have worked up with all of the parks, adrs, conf. numbers, and special activities listed. I have already given them a spread sheet for the budget the week we are there. Tips and all, I didn't want them to have any surprises. I love planning stuff like this.
My internet was not working last night, so during my computer time, I started printing tip envies out. I have also started planning the girls clothes. Most of what Aly wore last November won't fit this year, so she'll need new stuff, but John only wants a new Donald shirt, so I think we can swing that. I saw that Micheals has the shirts I use on sale this week and I just happen to be going by there on Saturday.

E and I walked last night, but I was very tired from my no sleep weekend and it seemed every time we got into a good pace, someone had to stop for something. Plus her older DS was walking with us, he is taller than us and has a longer stride, but for some reason every time he would start talking, he would slow up and E would slow up also. I would be walking along and all the sudden realize that they weren't beside me. So, I'd let them catch up and we would go again. Then Aly had to go potty and there aren't any there, so we finally had to leave.
I have figured out that the lack of continuity is probably one reason why I am feeling frustrated and the scale isn't moving. Yes, I am exercising, but not regular enough and I need to keep increasing the length and intensity. It seems like when we walk during the week, we never go past an hour. I do feel much better physically, but to see another loss, I realize now, that I have to keep increasing the exercise. It's hard for E as she gets home later than I do, but I can start going to the track a bit earlier each week and then she can just join me when she can.

Food yesterday was okay and I am trying to do better today.

I have a bit of sad news. Our cat that we have had for almost 16 years has been gone for a week now. She is 16 1/2 and almost completely deaf, but in good health otherwise. She was around last Sunday and John says he saw her on Monday morning, but no one has seen her since. I knew the time was coming, and I just hope if she did die, it was in her sleep. and if she got lost, I hope someone is being nice to her. I found myself several times this weekend walking to the back door expecting to see her there. I really miss her.

Great choices on your ADRs!!!:thumbsup2 We'll be in WDW a couple of weeks after you. It's too bad our trips weren't closer together.....We could have had a mini WISH meet. :goodvibes

I'm sorry to hear about your cat. :( I hope she comes back home soon. :wizard:

I hope your evening is a good one.

Thanks Tracy. We are eating at several places we have never been to before. I feel very fortunate that I was able to get all of the ADRs I wanted. A couple aren't at the times I wanted, but at least I got them. Seems a lot of people couldn't get reservations at places that I had a choice of times. I feel sorry for those who don't arrive until mid-week. There won't be any TS left for them to eat at.

Okay, I felt horrible this afternoon. ToM is tomorrow, so that should explain it all. I was achy, tired, just plain worn out and miserable. DH thought I might be coming down with the flu, but I am being very careful whom I am around. Since E wasn't walking tonight I thought to maybe skip it, but I didn't want to skip it. I want to walk and walk and walk. So, I made myself go. DH had a meeting and I asked him to drop off DD on his way that way I could have a little time to myself. I got there and was so glad I did.

The weather is very nice right now. Low humidity, cool air and breeze, just very comfortable. Being early (6:00) there was only one family at the track and they weren't walking, just had the kids on th play equipment. About 6:30 more people started coming up and there were several families when I left. I was able to get 5 miles in:cool1: and maintained 14 minute miles. and I felt much better when I left.

So now when someone says they feel bad I am going to tell them to take a walk. (in a nice way of course):rotfl2: some of my guys say I am mean.:rolleyes1

Food was okay
Breakfast - bagel
Lunch - soup and peanut butter crackers
snack - one square of dark chocolate
dinner - cereal
snack - cereal
snack - 2 pieces of beef jerky

See :3dglasses you all tomorrow.

I hope you're feeling better today, Lisa. Great job getting that walk in yesterday!:cheer2: Please be sure and listen to your body though, especially when you're not feeling well.

Have a good evening!:goodvibes

Thanks Tracy. Yes, you are right. I need to listen to my body more. But I'm stubborn. What happen's then? Occasionally my body will say "Nope, we aren't doing anything today. Don't even try to get out of bed." and that is right where I have to stay for a few hours.

I just feel so much better when I can walk. I am learning at work, to just get up and walk around the building for a few minutes. Clears the cobwebs and lets me stretch.

Today was a good day at work. I printed all of the yearly award notices today and got to pass them out. Most of them I have to show them how to read it to tell what their award is. Then they are so happy, that I get lunch. Had one lunch today and one on the schedule for tomorrow. :yay:

E and I walked tonight, but as usual she could only stay for an hour. I arrived before her and was able to get in an extra mile. Lost count as usual, but I walked for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The weather was nice again so walking was very pleasant.

I saw my other friend who will be at WDW that same time as us and she told me she was taking a few days off from planning. She hasn't been for like 17 years and I have been telling her stuff and loaned her my book to read. She liked it so much she ordered her own. Anyway, she said she had nightmares the other night about ADRs.::yes:: that can happen.

Lisa, I am so sorry about your cat. I hope she comes home soon. Our pets are just plain part of the family. Keep us posted.

I think its a great idea for you to go the track first, get your pace going full force then E can join you. I am in a bit of this same situation with my walking partner, I walk faster than she does, but I love to walk with her. Maybe I'll try your idea out on my own! 14 minute miles is an incredible pace, I am so impressed!

Poor you with TOM on the horizon, you and Tracy I think must be on the same cycle! All this disboarding has made your hormones cross I think.;)

I love to plan my WDW trips too. I am so glad you got your ADR's. And I love All Star Movies. That was the very first resort we ever stayed at. Its very special to me!

Keep up your hard work and that scale will start to go down. I am betting that if you weigh after TOM, you'll have a nice number on that scale!

I'm glad you had a good day at work yesterday, Lisa.

Great job getting that walk in!:cheer2:

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Today was busy at work and would you believe that my originally scheduled lunch got pre-empted by football??????? Some fantasy football meeting a bunch of the guys are in. But someone stepped in, can't remember what he owes me lunch for, but hey, I'll take it. Gumbo and Shrimp sandwich today. It was so good, but probably not a good idea.
I did get on the scale yesterday. Not sure why. And although I haven't lost any more, I haven't gained either. Just gonna set my pace up a little if possible.

Which I did tonight. E couldn't walk tonight, so I went by myself and took DS' Ipod. That helped so much. He has a bunch of stuff loaded I like, so it was actually great. I like Jimmy Buffet and most of his stuff has a really nice beat to it. Really helped me keep going.
Now for the good news. I did 7 miles tonight. :woohoo::banana::cool1::yay:

I could have gone for a bit more I think, but I didn't want to over do it. I was so happy. and you know DH is really being supportive of my doing this. Not that he helps all that much more around the house, but he doesn't mind my going walking. Of course he has all his stuff he does, but it never seems to be a problem if I tell him I'm going. This is very different coming from him.

Hope everyone had a great day today.

Wow Lisa, 7 miles is awesome! You have me sort of wanting to get my pedometer out and step up my walks a bit. That is just great. I love, love, LOVE having an Ipod to listen to. It really helps. I feel sort of mentally rejuvenated when I listen to mine and walk.

A stable scale is a happy scale. So congrats on staying the same!

Way to go on 7 miles, Lisa!!!!:cheer2: You are rockin' those workouts!!! :rockband:

I can't believe Fantasy Football pre-empted your lunch!!! I'm glad someone stepped up and bought you lunch yesterday.:goodvibes (Side note...My DH used to work for a company where they were die hard Fantasy Football fans. They invited him to join the league and he brought me along to help him with the draft. The guys were impressed by our picks, but they weren't as impressed when we made it to the Super Bowl the first year and won it the second year. LOL!:lmao: )

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for the encouragement. Amy, having that IPOD just really seemed to help a lot. and the time flew by. Tracy, you know exactly what I am talking about with regards to the Fantasy Football. :sad2: Those guys!

Friday was my off day and I got a lot of errands done, but nothing around the house. Sophia came over after school to play and we painted finger nails and other girl stuff. Then we took Sophia home and played on their WII for a while.
Saturday E and I walked and did almost 5 miles. YAY!:woohoo: Got DD ready and took her to April's as they were going to two birthday parties and the second one was a sleep over. I had a Disboard Meeting on the coast, so after I dropped off DD, I went shopping until time for the meeting. Got one bday present for DD, a new white dress and hat for her beach pictures. The summer is almost over and I haven't done them yet. I used to do them on Memorial Day weekend, but we keep seeming to be gone then now. And then a few more errands and off to my meeting. I was on the interstate when I realized that the meeting was in a different town from where we usually meet. Finally found it and we had a grand time. A couple of the ladies went to Disney Land about a month ago and told us all about their trip. I got home at 11:30pm.
Slept late this morning and then just did stuff around here until April called to say DD was ready to come home. Then we had to go get new soccer shoes and shin guards. First practice is tomorrow and I forgot to get new ones. E and her youngest DS is coming over to visit while the older boys are at church. She lives quite a bit farther from town then we do.
I'll catch up on everyone else later this evening. Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Sounds like you had a busy weekend, Lisa. I'm glad you had a great time at the DIS meet!:thumbsup2

Way to go on getting those 5 miles in! :cheer2:

Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!:grouphug:

Thanks Tracy. As I posted on your thread, I am home today. I feel better now, just wiped out. Sinuses. Seem to be much worse since we have moved into this house. and of course the new building at work. I just seem to be so much more sensitive to things now. Hopefully I will get to the post office this afternoon and then DD has her first soccer practice this evening. I am just going to spend the day quietly doing computer stuff and settling up the checkbook. (and of course DIS) Plus I have a couple phone calls to make about our Disney trip, need to do those soon.

Last night was a late night, never good on a work night, which may have contributed to my being sick this morning. I have really got to get a handle on my hours and work on going to be earlier. I just have so much too do and never enough time.

Hope everyone has a good day.:flower3:

 Lisa,

Sending lots of get well :wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard: your way. I hope you're feeling better soon! This time of year can be a challenge with allergies and all.

Hope your Disney call went well!:wizard:

Have a great evening!
