Lisa and Rob's Dream Wedding-October 30, 2011

Well I am getting very excited over here! :cool1: We ordered a Kodak underwater video camera so now we will have something to video our wedding! We are going to test out its underwater capabilities this weekend in the pool! lol

The wedding is also paid off! I was very excited to get that done and have to finish paying off a few other things and then only the "fun" wedding expenses are left like my hair accessories and stuff for the welcome bags! I still need to get my dress bustled but going to wait for about 60 days out for that :lovestruc

I am really looking forward to some time away with my fiance, family and friends...we SO need this! Our wedding cannot come fast enough at this point :)

Hello!

Our fans came in for our wedding ceremony:

I also had little tags made for the gifts we will be giving as well as tags that say "Welcome Aboard" for our welcome bags! :wizard:

Starting next month I will start working on finishing up the Welcome bags as I would like to have them done and completed about 2 months out...Come the fall we will have our hands full with stuff around the house and really want "smooth sailing" over here! :rotfl:

The fans and tags look AWESOME!! You are getting down to the final countdown! How exciting!!

Hi!

Everything looks super great! Love the fans and tags... your colors are so pretty.

Do you mind sharing who made the tags, we were planning on doing the same thing for our welcome bags, but in orange and black for halloween. Thanks!

Love it, Lisa! And I love your staging of the photos. The coral's a really nice touch!!!

Sure, I found her on Etsy, I worked with Kelly on Etsy known as GigiNoelle10, just let her know Lisa Q. Disney bride sent you and she will have an idea of the product you are looking for...I am sure she can do the colors you want!

Thanks Mikkel, I thought it would look nice! I also think I found the camera I am buying for our "wedding present" to ourselves :) The Nikon D5100....it says it does HD 1080 movies so I figured we would have it to film the wedding!!!

Lisa, your fans and tags look amazing!!!

Thank you tamarr44!!!!

So DF and I were talking and instead of getting each other gifts we are doing a joint gift to ourselves! :goodvibes

http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product/Digital-SLR-Cameras/25478/D5100.html

We picked this b/c it does HD movies in 1080 which is like watching High def TV...we hope to have a video of at least the wedding ceremony :)

I was going to get my DF the Ipad but I am hearing rumors a new one will be out within the next few months! I didn't want to buy it for him and then they come out with a newer model sooooo I told him what I was going to get him will have to wait until Christmas and I thought that getting this camera would be great for many years to come (ie. hoping for some Disney babies to spoil! LOL) My DF just laughed and said this camera would be great for our children to come :lovestruc

I found it for a great price at Costco so we have to get around picking it up! I am hoping to get it soon so we can practice with it!!!

I just finished my last and hopefully final Vistaprint order! :) I am so glad to be finally getting to the end of the "big" purchases...it is really a relief. We also organized all our little items we are putting in the welcome bags and I hope to order the welcome bags in a few weeks! When I get a chance I will get a "wrap Up" of all the items we have for our wedding...We need to get Rob's suit in the next few weeks as well for our MK shoot! :cutie:

Just thought I would share my progress thus far!

We have paid off our room and our photographer's room...we are so fortunate to have the talented Mikkel Paige coming along with us!

We are ALL logged in for those I was doing on the computer myself, it took me nearly and hour and half but I got everyone in for 11:30 AM time at the terminal since they changed the boarding procedure...glad that is over with! lol

I ordered these today, I think they will make for a great photo op on the beach, maybe with our wedding rings and wedding invite!

I also just purchased this great photo prop:

I love it just like that, my "something blue" and says Bride... :)

We have been interviewing dog sitters all week and will be going into next week as well...this has turned out to be all time consuming as we need to have someone we trust, esp. if they are going to be staying in our home with our girls. Our good friend Bill is considering watching them, I am truly hoping he does! :)

My next adventure is this weekend, going to Davids Bridal to pick up my crinoline and wedding shoes. They are dying the wedding shoes blush pink, the crinoline will match :)

Time is FLYING by now and I still have so much to do!!!!!!

I need a bit of pixie dust folks :wizard:

Hello all!

So I went to David's Bridal today and wanted to order my shoes for the wedding (when on the ship and MK shoot) as well as get my Crinoline...I was not going to get one but I have this one shot in my head at MK that I REALLY want and the crinoline, dyed pink is a MUST!

I cannot believe I am going to dye this crinoline myself, but I am going to try! lol I just hope it comes out OK....I am doing the color number 466....

http://www.ritdye.com/colorit_color_formula_guide

I am having my shoes dyed Rose Petal from DB....the shoes may be a bit darker but I am OK with that :cutie:

I was going to send the crinoline to be dyed, however, Davids Bridal said, "Ok, that will be in October 13..." I was like REALLY? I mean, I know I am a bit late in the game but seriously that is 6 weeks turn around time for an undergarment lol They said they would try to put priority on it but I am not going to hold my breath!

Ordering ALL our photo props from Etsy next week as well as getting all the items needed for my dress (spanx lol, and ordered the crinoline....) my next dilema is I need the dress bustled but I do not have the crinoline which I am assuming they are going to want me to wear for the fitting...I am hoping the crinoline comes in the next 2-3 weeks and I will immediately make the appt. to have the dress bustled, thankfully it does not have to be hemmed.

My sister and I are going to MAC the first weekend in Sept. to get our wedding make up too! :wizard:

So we are preparing for the BIG hurricane, Irene. We are trying to put away all the patio furniture and took down all bird feeders...getting gas looks like it is going to be insane (12 cars deep EACH pump) BUT my fiance and I are going to try get that tonight to get it over with. We are even taking down our Intex pool which we were planning on doing next weekend but now seems like a better time! We actually started draining it Weds.!

On a good note David's Bridal said my shoes are in AND my crinoline will be in next week!

Be safe during Irene! I haven't been able to see if there is much damage on Castaway Cay. They got a direct hit!

We are in for the rest of the weekend, we are not messing around with this storm! lol

I really hope the bride that got married this week was OK and that her wedding was beautiful, the tracking of the storm has had me FRANTIC :rotfl: I can just imagine how I will be when it gets closer! There is also another hurricane forming already! uhhhh!!

I really enjoyed going through your journal, it made really gave me an idea of everything I have to do and made me feel alot better.
and to think I just came on to get some website ideas).

My coworker sarcastically said, "Wow, you're paying $1200 for a deposit that you're not doing for over a year!!" I'm not gonna lie, I'm still kinda mad about it but I'm starting to feel better about it now.

I'm so excited for you!! Congrats!! I would say happy planning but you've got that covered.:goodvibes Hope Irene was nice and you are safe and sound.

Hello! I just replied to you on the Disbride thread! lol

Don't listen to ANYONE, many will have comments just do what feels right for you and your hubby and family!!!

This is possible and you can do such a beautiful wedding on a 10K budget! In NJ, where I am from, we EASILY would have spent 30K and I could not see doing that. Now we get a 2.5 week wedding/honeymoon with 14 of our family/friends...doesn't get much better than that!!!:wizard:

Any questions just PM me :yay:

I'm pretty sure Lisa (your travel agent!) :cool1: dyed her crinoline pink. Did you talk to her about it? Our friend Vanessa dyed hers red. They both did a great job.
