Lisa and Rob's Dream Wedding-October 30, 2011

I'm late subbing but just I just got caught up..everything looks great so far! I love the invites and your dress is beautiful :)

Lisa- You look beautiful in your dress! I absolutely love the back of it and the detail on the front is gorgeous!

Well I cannot believe we are under six months until our wedding! It is now becoming much more real to us both! I sent out our six month wedding presents:

Everyone loved them! We were happy to put a smile on our wedding guests faces :wizard:

I also got hoodies for mother of the bride, mother of the groom and my sister as well as me. Mine is white, the rest are pink and I am picking up the crystals for the back...going to give them to my family the day before the ship leaves :)

I continue to collect anything that is destination wedding welcome bag additions via couponing...we have a good amount of free stuff to go in them! I am going to ship the welcome bags, floral and other wedding items down 2 weeks before to the pop century, we will be there the night before the ship leaves! This I feel is MUCH easier then bringing on the plane...I will be worried enough about the dress :confused3

As for the dress I am now looking for something to bring it on the plane as I do not trust the little bag I paid extra for from Davids Bridal...I have found some called Wally's Bags, I think I am going to check them out...I called the air line, air tran and they said they would work with us on carrying it on (thank goodness).

As for air fare we did really well so far...my Aunt found great air fare out of Philadelphia airport...not exactly where I wanted to fly out of but she got round trip airfare 91 each way! I looked and for myself and DF it will be 458, and that is with assigned seating and one bag each plus one carry on each! :yay:

We meet with our photographer in June...SO looking forward to it...I think June/July I will start to assemble the welcome materials inside the welcome bags and start working on ordering ALL the items I like on Etsy :rotfl2: I can spend a small fortune on that site if I don't watch myself!

We bought DF's shirt for the wedding ceremony on Castaway! We were able to find a beautiful silk Hawaiian shirt in cream and I was able to get it 80 percent off with my Kohls charge, I so love that store! We also got him clothes for the cruise as well as new khakis for the ceremony :cool1:

I of course started to put clothes away as well...I bought three dresses for dinners in the evening :)

My next three "big" things to do are:

Finish paying airfare (we are not charging ANYTHING for our wedding, we want to start of debt free and hoping we can do such as we have gone this far with out charging! We are using our Disney credit card, however, we pay off in full each month what we spend, doing this for the points as we are hoping to have about 100 on a Disney Gift card from my rewards!)

Book our dining package. I have to figure out if we want to go with the top dining or the middle package as we have a lot of signature and experience dining....decisions decisions! :rolleyes1

Pick up our park hoppers for our honeymoon, we need 10 days and I found them for 299 on our work site...anyone find them for a better price? We are doing the 10 day parkhopper...

I am Still trying to stay on budget, in the end will show how well I do with that! LOL

Thanks for reading, geesh this was a long entry!:dance3:

I LOVE the cookie! I bet your guests were ecstatic to get that in the mail as a reminder!

You seem very organized! I need some major organization, I am just waiting for the close of the school year. I have lots of stuff for my gift bags, it is all just thrown in my spare room awaiting organization!!

I'll be following along as we get closer!!:cheer2:

That is SO funny I am the same way with the items for the welcome bags, all just strewn all over the spare bed room! I told my DF that next weekend I am tackling that room! :rotfl:

Thanks for following along, I cannot believe how much closer all our weddings are getting!

Just got home from my eye doctor and I can check one more thing off my to do list...I got a prescription for Latisse! :cool1:

I have beautifully long eyelashes but they are not really thick...my eye doc said, "Be careful, this product is addictive...my wife loves her eyelashes SO much she will never stop using it! " LOL

I am hoping to have good luck with it as well, will post updates as I go along!

I have seen that advertised on TV and wondered if it worked. You should take a before and after picture. :). I am sure insurance doesn't cover it...how pricey is it? I was considering getting mine done but I don't want to pay 250.00 for it.

Well my eye doc is WONDERFUL, since I had to have my yearly appt he did not charge me any consulting fees for the Latisse! I have to go back after 3 months of usu age for an eye pressure check (that is the only side effect he said to be really concerned about) and he said that would not even be a full visit cost!

As for the product itself it is not covered by my insurance however I am checking around to get the product at the least cost...will keep you posted...I will do before/after pics as well! It looks like for a month supply they want 99 dollars, I am really trying to get for less than that!

I love all your ideas, but especially the cookies!! I wanted to do the same thing but not that great at decorating cookies... did you make them or order them?

I did order them from A Sweet Memory, 609-242-0153...she is based out of NJ but she does mail them as I did with my guests! I LOVED them and I believe she starts her prices at 2 per cookie and the more detail the price goes up :) I purchased 10, about half were mailed and it came to about 60 dollars....

Well I am officially getting excited about our wedding (as if I was not enough before lol)...Rob and I plan to pay at 110 days out b/c we will then book a special brunch the day after for all our guests...we have been basically nothing more then mere home dwellers and have the amount in FULL for our cruise AND wedding...I feel so relieved lol I am also trying to scrimp and save as we are bringing our photographer, (Love Mikkel Paige and her work we cannot wait to work with her!) and I would like to get that paid off as well at 110 days!

I think my next "obstacles of the budget" would be to pay for our park hoppers and dining plan. We are also looking to have Mickey and Minnie at the wedding...I cannot believe how this is coming together...totally amazes me :lovestruc

HI! I just found your PJ and it all looks great. I'm getting married on a Disney Cruise as well on 11-11-11 Castaway Cay!
I was wondering, can you have Mickey and Minnie show up at the wedding? I emailed Shandra, but she never returns my email. I was just wondering if its possible and how much it costs.

Yes you can we are def. having Mickey and I am thinking about adding Minnie. It is 900 for Mickey and then I believe another 300 for the second character! Another CC bride and so close to my date, that is so cool!

I look forwarding to reading your PJ as well! :)

WOW they are not cheap, but I think they are well worth it. I have a PJ, but it's on Disneybrides.com. Have you seen that trend? I like it because it is a little more private.
