Love the flashbacks! They really remind us of previous trips to WDW, a lot of the ones I went with my family too.

Yay for gettin the ME tags! We didn't use them though, but it is sure fun to get!

It is amazing the things you didn't know back then.:lmao: Now you wouldn't even imagine taking a trip without fp's and table service restaurants, oh and staying on property. What would we all do without the DIS?

Oh and Yay for Mickey Mail!:banana:

One more thing, I think I may be switching around my park days a little. Trying to fit in MSEP. Might go the 20th, so I may see you there after all. Not for certain yet.

Mickey Mail seems earlier for everyone....or is it my imagination?

YAY for the Mail!

Thanks! I have one more to do...a trip from May 2006. It sucks because I didn't go digital until December 2006 so I have to keep scanning all of these pics!

Seriously, I cringed when I saw that pic of MGM and I labeled it as Main Street! Shameful! And eating QS 3 meals a day was just not cutting it! You'll find out why when I do my last Flashback!

YAY for the Mail!

It caught me by surprise, that's for sure! I wasn't expecting it until next week so it was nice to find it in the mailbox yesterday! I think I read somewhere that the general rule is that it's supposed to come sometime between 40-20 days from arrival. But don't quote me on that!

I know! I remember standing in line for Space and making fun of the people who "paid extra" to be lazy! :rotfl2: my brother and I were convinced that's how Fastpass worked and kept giving people "the evil eye" as they zoomed by us in lines.

:lmao::lmao:

:woohoo: for mickey mail! It's the best! :)

It really is! I know you get 500 confirmation emails and what not, but Mickey Mail is the ultimate proof that you are actually going! At least for me, anyway!

Seriously....we knew NOTHING about WDW at the time and now people look at me funny when I talk about random WDW stuff...like they're saying "why do you know that?" :rotfl2: And this is pretty much their expression:  I guess now I know TOO MUCH!

So I was thinking today about the Dining Plan (thanks a lot, DANA! )

We booked our package with a 35% discount and it works out to be a bigger savings than free dining so that is why I never took advantage of that... However, I was thinking that if the 35% discount applies to the package, and I add the dining to the package, then I could technically get 35% off the whole cost right?

Well, no. It doesn't work that way apparently. They take 35% off the package and then tack on the dining so no deal! But at least I tried!

And BTW, they STILL have the wrong phone number on file! :sad2:

And that's exactly why it's a very good idea to go over the numbers and see which discount works best for you :)

pretty much! i always feel like i'm missing out on a huge deal when we don't take advantage of free dining! Even though financially, the 35% is saving us more...AND we'll be getting an additional 5% cashback bonus by using the Discover Card to buy our meals, I still feel like not taking advantage of free dining is a loser move.... It's confirmed, Disney has brainwashed me! :lmao:

Yes, unfortunately you can only get one "deal". Some free dining works better, for others it is the rate of the room. But at least you tried. It tooks me six months to get my phone number fixed. :scared1:

I've been trying for 5 years ;) One day, I will work up the energy to call and ask for a manager. :confused3 It really shouldn't be this complicated.

We're officially at the 30-day mark so I thought I would post a little life update. I'm sorry I haven't posted my final Flashback yet! I've been so busy lately it's insane! But I will DEFINITELY do it tomorrow!

First, I finally received my certificate from Penn Foster for an online Dog Obedience Instructor class I took! I can't believe I actually took a college level course, and finished it! I'm now a certified instructor! :woohoo:

I took one year of "real" college right after I graduated High School and I hated it, so I didn't go back after the first year. I did take a course at the CT School of Broadcasting back in 2003, which I also completed...but I never had time to go use the studio to make demo tapes. After that, I started a Vet Tech course online, also through Penn Foster, paid $1000 for the first part of the course and never completed it. I am terrible at math and once I got to the math part, I just gave up. I regret it, but...it only gave me something to learn from. I was determined to finish the obedience course and I think I got the whole class done in 2 months (they give you a year)! I was really motivated!

So that's number 1.

Number 2:
Last year, I bought 3 pairs of capris and a pair of shorts for our WDW trip last October. I had gained so much weight that they ended up not fitting me. I could barely get them on and I knew that there was no way I would be comfortable wearing them to the parks everyday on our trip. But, I tried them on tonight and they actually fit me! I still have 15lbs to go to make my goal weight (which I was hoping to make before our trip) but at least those 4 items fit me comfortably! I'm so happy I didn't get rid of them, and I actually worked to lose the weight. I'm still not 100% satisfied (as I sit here eating ice cream...:rolleyes1 ) but I've been working really hard and having them fit was a good reward.

Oh, and Lumar bought me some new clothes today, too, so another :woohoo: for that!

I spent the last 4 hours cleaning the apartment a little bit...washing laundry, doing litterboxes (8 rabbits + 6 litterboxes = hard work!) :laundy: I am exhausted, my feet and my back are killing me, and I'm still not done. It's 9pm and I have two loads of laundry in the dryers downstairs, another load up here that has to be folded and put away, and the bathroom, kitchen, and living room still need to get done. I think I will save those for tomorrow! :faint:

I'll leave you with this pic I took 2 weeks ago. We took Parsley to hang out at my dad's again with his dogs, to make sure they stay accustomed to each other, and I managed to grab this shot while Parsley and her best friend, Chaos (the boxer) were sitting still (for about 3.7 seconds).

Goodnight, all!

30 DAYS!!!
:banana::banana::banana:

Wow, lots of congratulations in order!!! Way to go on both the certification and the weight loss! :thumbsup2

Love the pic of the dogs. What beautiful animals!

Well done on the obedient dog and the weight loss.

YAY for 30 days!

Good job Alley!

Thanks, gals! :yay:

I also forgot to tell you all that I started my pre-packing last night! :rotfl2: Since I know I'm going to take those shorts & capris, I figured, why not just pack them now! I'm gonna pack some of my tank tops today since I won't be wearing this stuff again til WDW.

Congrats on finishing your dog obedience class! That sounds like a fun job! I've always wanted to be a pet groomer but I wouldn't even know how to get into that!

And congrats on your clothes fitting! :cool1: I'm so worried about what I'm going to wear while I'm in WDW, this weight loss thing just did not work out for me. I had 4 months and now I'm down to 8 weeks. :confused3 I'm just going to work really hard for those 8 weeks and see what happens, I guess! And hope that by my next trip, I'm finally skinny! :rotfl:

I love the picture of the dogs, they are adorable! :lovestruc
