Does anyone know if there is limited food choices from the menus or can we pick anything from the menu? (I am sorry if this has been asked before) TIA. :confused3 :confused3

We didn't experience any limitations on what we could order while on the DDP in May. We had only heard of limitations at WPE which we had intended to go to, but decided against it after looking over the menu. However, we did eat at 4 buffets so only had 3 TS meals during our week stay - TS would be where there are limitations if they do exist.

While there are not limitations, there are some exceptions. Ask you server and they will tell you. For example, LeCellier has a desert sampler platter. You can get it, but it will cost 2 desert credits--meaning that if there are 2 of you, you can get the sampler to share between you. The kitchen sink is not on the plan at B&C, glow drinks are not on the plan. We had a caesar salad at Coral Reef and the scallops where allowed on the salad, even though they said extra. Other than little things, most of the entree stuff is included. Believe me when I say, ask your server, because you never know. We have always found the servers want you to get the biggest bill possible, which results in a bigger tip for them. We did the DDP last September when it was free, then paid for it this spring when DVC members could add it. We leave tomorrow for the free ddp again, and plan to buy it for our October and February DVC trips too. We find it is well worth the money.

I agree with the previous posters - you won't find the few exclusions at all troubling. The limitations are mostly the really obvious things that you would not expect to be included. The DDP is a VERY complete deal.

I'm so glad to find this question.. DH and I were wondering the same thing. We were looking at the menus for our ADR restaurants, and hoping that the items we want to order (usually the more expensive items, we have rich taste :teeth: ) will be included on the plan.

So, when we go to one of our TS's, do we tell the server right away that we're on the DDP? Will we be given a list of items we aren't allowed to order? This is all very exciting, but very confusing too. :confused3
