Lime Green

We leave home 8/18 and our first park day is 8/20. My ticker is wrong too.

I remember my husband thinking I had totally lost it when I stole 20 of those lime green Mickey heads from Home Depot back in the day. I think I had thoughts of hanging them from our stroller, but never got around to it. Mostly because my husband thought I was cracked out for doing it LOL

I remember this very well! I actually used to take the Mickey head paint chips and use them in my scrapbooks. Bad me!

Yes, I remember it also. I also have a few of the DIS pins as the PP showed. I can still remember, as an example, one time when it was particularly useful. I was dining at Sci-Fi, solo, in the back seat of a car. Near the end of the meal, the lady in front of me adjusted her backpack, and that's when I saw the lime green Mickey Head hanging from it. I showed her mine, and we had a nice talk for a few minutes. I liked those Mickey Heads-does Home Depot still have them?

I don't recall anything about lime green. We did have a DIS gathering in the Promenade Lounge on embarkation day but I don't think anyone but me from that sailing are still on the DIS.

I remember. I was too shy to approach others, but I'd keep my eyes out for other Disers when at WDW or DLR.

As for those paint chips, we pilfered a bunch for our wedding. Used them as the entrée table cards. lol. Home Depot took them out a few years ago.

Is lime green still a DIS color? Do any other old timers remember this?

There are many of us who have lime green mickey heads, as well as other lime green stuff.

Sadly, it's pretty much been usurped by others (not necessarily on DIS). Once I was on a cruise and there were many people wearing lanyards with lime green name tags on them. I asked one of them who they were on the DIS and I got the "deer in headlights" stare from them. They had no idea what I was talking about, she just said the leader of their group handed them out to everyone so they could identify each other.

And I used to make them on a Badge-a-Minute and send them out in exchanges when they exchange board was active.

I remember those pins from John. I'm sure I still have mine in a bag somewhere. That was at dis-con, maybe 2002? First time I met you, Nancy, on the steps of the ABC TV Theater, as I think it was called then, with others from the dis, watching the parade if I recall. .
