You guys are going to have to show me how to do WS...because I fail to really see the draw.

I figure THAT will get me kicked off the DIS - except I know all of the other things you guys have let me get away with....

But flame away!!!!

So...let's let THAT be the start of my TENETS...Hopefully to be COMPLETED before I leave for Disney....

1. (This may really get me kicked off the DIS...:rolleyes1) It is important for me to have some quiet time every single day. Normally I do this at night - just my personal preferrence. I sit and contemplate the day, say my prayers and read from my Bible Reading Plan. I do this every day. If I skip it while I am in Disney - I will be grumpy. So, I promise to have my quiet time every single night - or in the morning, if I am just too tired to focus at night. :thumbsup2

2. I promise to really try to see the World Showcase. Really see it. And enjoy it. For all that it has to offer!

3. I promise not to forsake the group TOO quickly if I get bored with the WS (but a girl has to have SOME hot tub time! ;)) But I also promise to capture some alone time on this trip - as I know even the best of friends need a break from each other at some point.

:scared1: WS is a place I would love to spend more time seeing the details, enjoying the shows, etc. Though I have spent a decent amount of time there since Jordan loves getting her passport stamped and doing the Kidcot stops. Maybe you need a passport to make it more interesting.

And everyone needs a little quiet time so no worries on that tenet.

Addicted?

Moi? ;)

Jen, surely you jest. :lmao:

Alright, guys, I love the new tenets.

I have a couple of things to say. One, I love the idea of slowing down and finding those hidden things.

Maroo, I always like to journal in the mornings, so that may be a perfect time for you to partake in your cotemplation.

And dare I say :scared1: You don't see the draw of the World Showcase?

I daresay, this is because no one has shown you the draw! No one has shown you how to do it properly! Your other touring companions must surely step up to this challenge and enlighten you on all it has to offer.

I know, I know, now you're all going to say because I like it so much, I should volunteer for that role. :lmao:

I jest not and don't call me Shirley. :lmao:

TK - I think you and I will be roped into this trip before all is said and done.

Maroo, you need a WS intervention!
My tip is get there right when it opens up so you can see things before it gets to crowded and don't watch all the movies.....most of them are a snooze fest.

Oh, and I love to start conversations with the cm's from the countries.

Oooohhhh - an intervention! Great idea! Shall we convene in the WS in say 5 days and corner Maroo and poor unsuspecting Sharon?

1. What a great way to start your day!! I like to do my contemplation/reading time in the evening- in a hot bathtub. We'll try to keep it quiet in the mornings, and let you be in charge of the alarm clock.

2. It's a deal!! We won't fail you.

3. You got it! Take what you need, especially if it recharges you for the next adventure!

I know, I know, now you're all going to say because I like it so much, I should volunteer for that role. :lmao:

YOU said it.... ;)

Oh, and I love to start conversations with the cm's from the countries.

INTERVENTION.....!! I have visions of Bruce's 2 friends saying that at the Shark's anonymous meeting!! :lmao: Yes, that's exactly what she needs!!! Please people!! This is going to take a group effort!

Yes!! The CM's can totally make some great conversation; even adults can grab a charm for the masks and have the CM write their names in the language of that country. It's a lot of fun!!

ahhh ... to find someone who truly believes in the importance of laminated pocket sized schedules. we would have a wonderful time together

YOU said it... ;) You still have a year to plan :)

I love the laminated schedule. I have never made one for Epcot, but I do love that park. Maroo, you will like it. Maybe the Kim Possible game will help with the appreciation of Epcot. We will try it in two weeks and let you know how it is. You can also as adults stop at all of the kidcot stops and get the little country diecuts added to your masks. My friend and I did this as adults and got to meet a lot of cast members and learn about their home countries.

I also agree with alone time. My friend and I also did some extra park or resort time on our own without each other. However, it was a nice break for both of us to leave kids and husbands at home. I know you will have a blast! :wizard:

Yeah, I said that above! Get the diecuts, and have them signed! It's a great conversation starter!!

Hmmm, Kim Possible. I've read about it, but can I be honest here? I've never heard of her before, and have no clue who or what she is. Must be a Disney Channel thing?? Is it free???

I think maroo will head back to the hot tub, I'll ride the "boring rides" and LeeAnn?? I just don't even have a clue WHAT she would do on her own, given the time :confused3 LEEAAAAANNNN, where are you??

TK - I think you and I will be roped into this trip before all is said and done.

Yes, ladies!! Do it!!! This I have GOT to see!

This is me!!!

:cheer2: :yay::woohoo: :cool1::cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:

Are some of you guys REALLY thinking about coming?? That would be so fun!

you guys are crazy! Really...laminated schedules??

I get to play KP in December! I am excited about that! :) But that is a whole different trip report!

Maybe you need a passport to make it more interesting.

And everyone needs a little quiet time so no worries on that tenet.

Do they give passports to grown ups?!?

REALLY!!!!! Would you come?!?? That would be so much fun!

An intervention! I will be there in EXACTLY 5 days...5 days from right now I will be eating at Sunshine Seasons! :yay:

:rotfl2:

If by roped into, you mean begging to go, then yeah, probably. :lmao:

Woo Hoo!

Maroo has MORE Tenets!

4. I promise to take MORE pictures on this trip. I am guilty of taking pictures for the first couple of days and then forgetting to take pictures later in the trip. This includes Photopass pictures - we are definitely getting a Photopass!

5. I promise to take pictures - not just of interesting things - but also of things that will help me write my trip report. Like I may take a picture of each ride/attraction so I know where I went in order. And restaurant signs so I know where I ate.

6. I promise to let Liesa take ALL of the food shots! I am giving up trying to do that. Liesa is in charge of the food art. (How do you like that?)

Yes, let us just be photo taking maniacs!! Some of the prettiest pictures I've seen are the landscaping, details of architecture, and FOOD ART!!!

So, what you are saying is that you want ME to look like the dork taking everyones' food pictures??!! I get it...

Well, I suppose if someone has to do it....

1. Here's a nice way to unwind and to think about your experiences from the day. Very nice.

2. I would suggest doing a drink around the world.... although I know you don't really drink too much. So how about a 'bite around the world' You have plenty of countries to 'try' something you never have eaten before.

3. Alone time is good time, wait till you have kids. The alone time is few and far in-between.:rotfl2:

4. Thank goodness for digital cameras!!!! I say snap away!! Photopass is a good idea... with the three (or more) of you splitting that $99 shouldn't break the budget.

5. I love this idea!!! This is what I did in March.. (although I didn't realize I was doing it) When I went back to write my TR, I had all the times and order of what we did by looking at my pictures.

6. Food shots...... DW made fun of me when I took a picture of my plate at our 1st meal. So then I didn't take any more:sad2: I'm sure Leisa will be more than happy to take your food pics. Make sure she gets a pic of everyone's meal... this includes any other additions to your trip. Who knows, by next year she might be taking pics of 10 plates per meal!!!!:scared1:

It is highly possible that I may give the thought more serious consideration given that you are suffering from a sad case of "INeedTKToHelpMeTourWorldShowcaseitis." Obviously, you know what the cure is. :lmao:

Excellent, excellent. When I went on my December trip with Mom, Nana, and DS, we did take pictures of every ride we went on Epcot with DS. It really helped when I wrote the trip report because I knew what order and could really remember what we'd done. Restaurant signs is a good idea too, I never thought of that. Some new scrapbook ideas I'm getting now! :thumbsup2

It is more about me forgetting than looking foolish...:rolleyes1 I will even take them with my camera...I just can't ever seem to remember before I eat. One track mind, I suppose....

3. Alone time is good time, wait till you have kids. The alone time is few and far in-between.:rotfl2:

I KNOW this! I have been around plenty of families to know I have it made! I just borrow their kids and then give them back...like being a young grandma!

4. Thank goodness for digital cameras!!!! I say snap away!! Photopass is a good idea... with the three (or more) of you splitting that $99 shouldn't break the budget.

Oh yeah! We gotta add this to the budget!

Gee...I am suddenly forgetting WHERE the World Showcase even is?? :confused3 I need someone to help navigate! :surfweb: popcorn::

And we write a mean TR! Look at the pre-trippie for this sucker....We are still over a year out! (Although, not much more than a year....

I mean...gee...won't you have an annual pass??? What if I can get Free Dining? Split the cost of just a room.... Who can pass that up??

Oh, dear. Clearly you are in need of some assistance. pirate:

You remember how I called my mom The Master Enabler?

I'm going to call you The Almighty Temptress.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Oh sure, Ms. One Trip Turned Into Two Turned Into Three.

Temptress? You????

NAH!!!! :lmao:

Of course, you realize I would be the pot and you're the kettle, right? ;)

We could also start a discussion of stones and glass houses. Enabler, Temptress, whatever. What about co-conspirator or co-partaker??

I will not partake in any discussion involving this. PM me when you guys are done! LOLOL:rotfl:

Yeah, but what if we told you that you should bring the fam on down for a bit o' fun as well??!! What then?? We could tell you what we tell everyone else. YOu still have a year (but only barely) to get your act together....

You all are too funny, when exactly is this trip happening again? I don't know whether to steer clear or hop on board the crazy train, :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: and that is meant to be a good thing

Mary- maybe you should practice taking pictures of your food before you eat, like in your regular life:lmao: Could you imagine going to like McDonalds or Olive Garden and taking pictures of your food before you eat :rotfl: I might try this just to see the reaction I get:laughing:

It's definitely going to be a good thing. Trust us, we won't steer you wrong. ;)

This I've GOT to see.

Happy McDonald's Worker: Ma'am is there something wrong with your meal?
Mary: Ummm, no I"m just practicing.
HMW: Well it's against our store policy to take photographs in our restaurant.
Mary (putting on her best GB): Yes, but I need these for my Trip Report.
HMW: Excuse, me... What's a trip report?
Mary: Well, you see a bunch of us are going to Disney World next year and we're going to have a lot of fun. We all take pictures of our food. I"m not sure why, really, we just do. So here's the deal, you can let me take these photos of my Happy Meal, or you can come too.
HMW: Oh, I see, so what are the dates of your trip and where are you staying?
Mary: Well, that's top secret, we haven't told anyone yet.
HMW: THat's it! I'm calling the cops. You weirdie!
Mary: Flees the scene of the crime, in search of somewhere that serves more vegetables.

OMG! my sides ache and I've never even met you... you had better add depends to your packing lists. With all this chuckling going on someone is going to need them...

BTW...I heard another DISer, and it could be someone here, refer to pictures of their meals as Food Porn! :rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:

Back to Lurking...

Yikes!!! I have been lurking WAY too much! I don't post enough. Mom, are you ever going ot let maroo off the hook about her veggies? Oh, stupid question...
