neither I or my mother in law, have eaten at Ohana!

if I left packing up to my boys they would arrive with 1 pair of underwear, the ones currently on their body, and 3 mis-matched socks.
My dh wouldn't be much better, but at least he'd have a spare pare of undies.

Mine does slightly better, but not much! :lmao:

I get laughed at all the time for packing 4 months ahead of time, though only until we get to our destination, and they have everything they need, and we have a great time.

neither I or my mother in law, have eaten at Ohana!

What?! Seriously?!

HA! Just joking- Neither have I! :lmao::lmao:

But, seriously though, staying at the Poly is my ultimate dream, well, except for staying the Poly AND eating at O'hana! :rotfl2:

i feel terrible, i have not been neglecting your trip report but everyones trip report, we got our computer back from hp after 2 weeks for repair and it was doing the same thing after 1 hour. so i have been having dis withdrawals, computer is still not back (maybe next week) but dh brought his work laptop home for the weekend . thank goodness. i have never been to ohana and probably wont ds has just been diagnosed with a nut allergy and i am a little fearful of eating there. enjoy and eat some extra for me

Oh NO! That's double crappy! I hate computer problems! I feel totally out of sync when mines out of commission!!

And it's also very bad news that DS has a nut allergy! That really limits a lot of choices. The good news is that there is still a lot of variety too. I wonder if there's a separate kitchen area they use at places like O'hana for those with egg, nut, dairy and gluten allergies? :confused3

I cant believe you are posting on Saturday!

I had something much more clever to say, but it took me 5 min waiting for the page reply to load - and in that time, DH's birthday gift to DD - homemade cinnamon rolls - better than Mainstreet Bakery arrived - OMG... omg...

Yeah, I know it's a rare occurance, but we all worked pretty hard today, and are needing a bit of some down time. DH is on the laptop buying silver :confused3 and I'm wasting more of my time here. Oh wait, I meant, being a good steward of my money and friendships!! Planning is a good thing, maintaining relationships is good too! :lmao:

Enjoy those rolls!! Close your eyes and pretend you can hear the Castle Rag playing softly on Main St.! :cloud9:

Okay, I found something - in case anyone else is still wondering the details were about the 'new cs policy' that Sandy321 was talking about:

From the Orlando Sentinel:
Disney Eateries Test Seating Program

Ok, I might be in the minority but as a group of 6 that has a hard time getting a table at those places, I like it. And I do see a lot of squatters...

Grammar Geek Extraordinaire, at your service.
you can be the grammar geek, it will make me feel better when I techno babble.
Well, if that weren't enough posts by me in a row, I'll go ahead and make it an odd 3. I love to hear myself babble. :lmao:

Dearies- We had a 100% accuracy rate on this Ration Drop. You are all way too smart, and my clues were way too lame. I think it also helped that everyone and their mother (for those in the "Let's-make-a-major-mistake-and share-our-vacation-with-our-parents-Club") has eaten at:

O'hana!!!!

I will spare you all the details of this place, as you've seen them a thousand times already. Let's suffice it to say, I am pretty well stoked up about eating shrimp, and that tantalizing salad. I think I've said it here, oh, about 5 times, that a Lapu Lapu has my name written all over it!!! I'll say it again, if you don't mind. Yes, I understand that it probably has about as much alcohol and fruit juice as Tinkerbell can pee, but I'm doing it anyway; it looks that refreshing!

If you like reading food reviews, a good one on O'hana is over on Great Biscuit's TR. Go take a look- he gave it a double thumbs up.

I was trying to get to Rations Drop #6 today, but am really running out of time. We'll see how the evening goes... if not, Monday AM, my time, will have to do.

Neither I
My Mother
My Mother in law
My Step Mother in law
My Ex Mother in law

have eaten at Ohana.

Though I hope to rectify that for at least 2 out of 5, possibly 3.

Buying silver huh?

I can't believe you were online this morning and I missed it!

See you monday!!!!!!!

I'm here!!!!!

Sorry for the long hiatus!

This whole moving/fixing up a house thing has just thrown my already chaotic life into a complete tailspin. And it seems like everything happens at once.

If it makes you feel any better, I have not posted on my own PTR and I leave for my trip in 12 days and am totally not prepared!

But I am back, caught up and ready to post away! BTW, if we are operating on the honor system, I knew two of the five ration drops so can I please play and have two points? :flower3:

If any of you are reading my pretty mcuh non-existent PTR, I plan to post tomorrow. Since my trip is in 12 days :scared1: my PTR should be pretty hopping if I can stay on top of it until trip time.

Night all!

First of all, good morning to everyone!! It was a very full weekend, but really, really great!!! The party was super fun at church, and I think I understood more of the sermon than I have in a while. They served liver fried liver and potatoes, which I alone in my family enjoyed. But the best part was that my alcoholic neighbor who we've been praying for for (there's that tricky syntax I was telling you about again, Tim) a long time came with us!!! He is my son's best friend's dad. If there was ever a faithful friend commited to praying for someone, it is my 11 year old son!! Never doubt the effectiveness of a little boys pleas- learning disabled or not!!!

Anyhow, we had one of the Peace Corps guys over for pizza and Settlers last night too, and I must grudgingly announce that with his first game he soundly kicked our butts. Next time, we'll offer him more wine when we play. :lmao:

Quilting was 100% better this weekend; if you'll recall last weekend only 1 lady showed up, this weekend it was 2!! :rotfl2: All's good, though. We had a nice time, and I only had to lug out one of the machines.

So, there's my weekend update!

Now onto the clues for Rations Drop #6-

The grand original that I was modeled after was destroyed by fire.

Mr. Sanders, I don't think, has ever visited this establishment.

My neighbor sits squarely in Mudville!

Although they live nearby, Ol' Smiley and Ginger have never come to visit.

Again, flowers are the very centerpiece of this dining experience.

I imagine this one will be quite a bit harder, but I was having a really difficult time with the clues for this one. Hopefully not too hard for some of you to get it, though.

Now, on with your guesses, highlighted in white, please. You have 48 hours to stew about it.

Editted to add: OK, exactly WHAT is that going on with my ticker??!!!

Today I got a package. It is not everyday that ANY mail arrives for us; in fact, we only get mail about once a month! But, by any account, today's package was extra, extra special!!! It was MICKEY MAIL- well sorta. It's as close to the real deal as I'm ever going to get over here, and honestly, this package was even better!

Because in this package was the ribbon and lime green craft foam that I needed to make these:

I can't say enough thank you's to eandesmom!!! That was so, so kind of her to shop and send the ribbon and foam on, so I could finish up these little projects. You're great!!!

I"m not totally satisfied with maroo's version. I'm going to do it again, and see if I can get the freehand writing a little more evenly spaced. But the shape is good, so I'll use the same template.

Now, maroo, if you're still with us, I need to know if you want it embellished. Do you want the orange stitching? Purple ribbon? I wanted mine to use the colors of the Halloween party, so I chose orange and purple. But, I can get any color of embroidery thread. Not so much the ribbon. But that can be added later, if you want it.

I doubt ThePreachersWife will want one, but I can ask. Honestly, I'd have to use a microscope to get all that on it anyway. :lmao: How I'm ever going to get all that onto our window decorations I have no idea!! :rotfl2:

Anyway, thanks once again to Cynthia!!! LOVE YOU!

No reply to my return Liesa? Geez - I thought it would be highly anticipated! :lmao:

If I am allowed to play, my guess is The Crystal Palace

Night all!

Good morning, Jen!!

No reply to my return Liesa? Geez - I thought it would be highly anticipated! :lmao:

If I am allowed to play, my guess is The Crystal Palace

First off, congrats on your move!! I hope this new home is the home of your every dream!! :woohoo: I do understand how moving can completely mess up one's groove- we do it every 3 years. ;) Exciting, yes; discombobulating, you bet!!

I am very, very glad you are back! Actually, I have checked your PTR many times, and have noticed not a lot going on there, but figured your were busy, finding just the right place for each little thing.

HA!!! Of course we noticed you were MIA. You funny girl!! And honestly, I can't figure out WHY I messed up and didn't see your post!! This morning, I was so excited about putting up my 2 posts, I spaced it. My bad! Will you ever forgive me?? I know what it's like to get neglected on a thread. :lmao:

Yes, I'll go find my little point sheet, and make sure you duly have 2 points!!! Very good work. You are in fact, only 1 point off the lead right now!!! There is though, a 3 way tie for 1st- all with 3 points.

So, post on, and I"ll go check yours too, now.

I'm not sure what is up with the ticker but it looks like all the mickeypath ones are disabled, you aren't alone. I'd imagine someone has asked the moderators already but it appears to be DIS wide. Guess mickeypath is not allowed now? No idea.

I'm glad you had such a lovely weekend but BLEH to liver and onions. Sorry I missed you last night, I crashed relatively early, we watched our Sunday AR and then read a little bit and I was out! Slept like a log too, always a blessing when that happens. Busy weekends will do that to you.

Oh my word, I am glad we are up to 48 hours, I am going to need it for this one!

Anyway, thanks once again to Cynthia!!! LOVE YOU!
Awww...love you too Liesa :)

Glad it made it there!!!

The MickeyPath site is down temporarily; this happens a lot  and hopefully our tickers will be visible again soon!

Kathy

Thanks for the ticker problem responses, ladies. If you knew the hard time I had getting it to work in the first place...:sad2: I really didn't want to have to do it over!!!

I just wanted to post that I am still following along. I just don't have time for the guessing the restaurant game, but I read the new posts when they hit my emails! :wizard:
