KSM,
There is nothing wrong with a standard view room. Just send in a request for a view of the castle and fireworks. Also, to be as high as possible so that if you are over the service area, there will be less chance of noise. We had room 6060 on our last trip and it was a standard room with a view of the castle and we could watch the fireworks from bed. It also had bunkbeds which might work well for your kids. If it is not crowded, you may get upgraded and standard won't be an issue at all then. Either way, the lodge is breathtaking and if you are like the rest of us when you return, they could have put you in the broom closet and you would be happy, just to be there.

KSM
Since you are using a TA, you should ask these room questions when you meet with your TA. Fantasmic is a must see and the children will enjoy it as there are a lot of Characters in it. The tough part is should you book a dinner package as it depends on the crowds. Monday is the best day for MGM, in terms of low crowds. If you are planning a sit down dinner, then the answer is yes, if it is just to see the show then I may just take my chances. It is a very large stadium and there are not any really bad seats, except up close as they are “wet” seats.
I suggest you call your TA and see if they can handle the PS for you, if not then you can make it on your own, if that is what you decide.. PD on your trip to our Magical Lodge.

 Hello Everyone!! Life here has been crazy, sorry I haven't stopped by sooner.

Kimmar , I wil keep you and yours in my prayers! Keep the faith!

Those that are getting close I send PD for a great trip!:D

Have a great day everyone!

Florida Cat and Ratpack gave excellent advice..

I just got back from WL last weekend and I had the Fantasmic Dinner package at H&V. It was excellent. I went on a Sunday, which I feel is more crowded. Im sure the Floridians in the area with AP take their children on weekends as well so that adds to the crowds.. If you book a Fantasmic package,,you have only 48 hrs to cancel, othewise if you dont show, you will be charged $10 per person on your charge card (you hold the res w/a charge card)

Like Ratpack said, We all would stay in a broom closet at WL and be happy campers.

PD on your trip. The lodge is magical::yes::

Hi all!!

FC - I need to email you a list...can you pm it to me! Thanks!

Ok..I think I have calmed down abit...*breath* I did decide the Saturday I make a run to the WL, I am going to take my DD and mines picture in front of the tree and use that for our xmas cards!

hmmm....I am drawing a blank...Have a great day!

Anyone know what the cost is to have a Christmas Tree put in you room is? I have seen it mentioned before but not sure of the cost. Also, anyone know of any pictures of the ones Disney provides?

hey WL'ers....where is everyone tonight?

Rat...still no luck getting WL? Are you enjoying the "gift"?

I just received a postcard from WL..it gave me a pin # to use on their survey site. The postcard is terrific with the Lodge Logo...that in itself is a keeper.

It was a lengthy survey and asked me to expound on my answers. Which I happily did. They asked for names of CM's as well.

Has anyone else gotten this survey from WL?

Ratpack...I saw a really cute small artificial tree on the shopping channel QVC. It came with lights built into the tree, your choice, multi, white or red. In fact, one of the people that bought it said they were taking it to WDW to put in their room. That might be an idea for you..you can check out their website. QVC.com

I guess everyone is watching Monday Night Football.:earseek:

NO luck getting the Lodge and actually I have quit trying. My parents are stoked about staying at the Poly since they can just get on the monorail. And since they are fitting the bill, I better let them stay where they are happy. At least I got AP's out of the deal, now I can stay at WL this summer and next fall as well with AP rates. And yes I am loving the gift.

Kimmar- Prayers from the midwest for you and yours.

Starz723 and maidmarion- Thanks for the reference. My company has a showroom at 5th and 36th St, so I usually stay close to there.

FC- Don't give up on TB just yet. Maybe Gruden can get those egos in check and make them humgry yet. You're right about Vermeil; he's magic.

Good morning all,

Just wanting to keep in the loop. Hope you all have a magical day.:D

Morning all....

I just got a call from my boss....Half day today!!! WEEE!!

I forget who had the Looby/Interior Courtyard view, but could you hear Lobby noise from there? Is the Lobby noisy??

Have a great Vet's Day!!

God Bless America!

I have edited my original post on page one to add addition information about the Lodge..restaurants at WL and FT Wilderness Campground..2003 & 2004 Room Rates and Guest room lay-outs plus information about the Villas....With a beautiful picture of the WL. Let me know what you think. It maybe to much, FloridaCat had already given some of the restaurant inf on his post. Let me know what I should change.

Thanks,

Three days till I'm at the Lodge.:jumping3:

MAGICinMYHEART - Looks great!

Morning all! 31 days and counting!!!!

Yeah!!!!!

I just hit 29 more days. Days are going fast. And they will go faster as we prepare for the holidays. Seems my weekends are booked solid. Christmas decorations, baking, candy making, etc.

::yes::

WL "Family"

I was just wondering, please let me know if I am out of bounds with this one. But, being we are so close and all. I am not sure if we want to tie up the thread like this but:

Would anyone be interested in a "Holiday Cookie, Candy, etc. Exchange"? Everyone write in with one or two favorite recipes to share. Being the holidays are coming up, I thought this would be fun.

Give me your thoughts, and I will not be hurt if this is not appropriate on this thread, I understand.

Just getting into the Holiday Spirit. Pixie Dust to all. :D

Sounds like a good idea, but I agree it might tie up the thread too much. My suggestion is to start a new thread called something like "WL Vets Recipe Swap", then we can all go over there and post our recipes and get good ones from others. How does that sound?

I am getting into the Holiday spirit too. There is a local radio station here in Charlotte that started playing Christmas music 24/7 on Nov. 1.

I'm all for the recipe swap. I agree with Ratpack that we should start a new thread.

All I kept thinking about on my way in to work this morning was the lodge. The aroma when you first walk in as the wind (air conditioner) hits your face.....the enormous fireplace and of course, the music....

{deep breath in} Aaaahhhh

Starz- I also received a postcard to log on and do a survey. It was very lengthy but I gladly did it. I loved getting the WL logo- I'll be able to use it in my scrapbook.

Recipe Swap- sign me up! I'm a cooking baking machine at Christmas- wouldn't be the holidays without at least a dozen different kinds to give to friends, coworkers and relatives! I agree with doing a separate thread. Great idea!

Have a great day all!
