Thanks Kimberle, FloridaCat, DisneyDmbNut and MAGICinMYHEART!! Appreciate your advice. Sure be nice not to have car expense. Guess my primary concern is longer waits for transportation during Christmas week. And Christmas day we start out at MK and go to EPCOT for the CP and dinner. Any further comments or suggestions?

Patty's WL favorite thing at WL :

If you are an earlybird you MUST get up at 6ish and go get in the hot tub!

IT IS AWESOME! I would stop at Roaring forks and make myself a 'cappuccino - ok I would just make a coffee and add a package of hot chocolate - but it tasted good - lol

jump in the hot tub ALL BY MYSELF (except the cm straightening out the chairs around the pool)

It was BEAUTIFUL to look at the lodge with all its lights - and sooo quiet! then as the sun rose I switched seats in the hot tub - and watched the sunrise AND the first Gyser of the Am before going to wake the troops!

That is why I NEED to go back to WL!

Hello to all the wonderful WLVets out there. I have been lurking on this thread for some time now, and have finally read all of the WL threads (300+ pages!).

My DH and I will be leaving for sunny Orlando in nine days. The single didget dance has begun. :) We'll be staying for four nights at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal, then on to the WL for seven glorious nights. We can't wait. Thanks to all of your posts, we have lots of things to look forward to. Thank you!!!

I would love to surprise my husband with the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne, how did you go about it? Who did you call, was it the front desk? We are not staying concierge, does that matter?

I had also had the idea of having strawberries delivered to our room. I called the WL desk and explained what I wanted. The front desk transferred me, I believe to room service, and I was able to find out about what was available. They will deliver six "tuxedo" strawberries on a bed of chocolate shavings to your room for about $30 (including tax and gratuity). They will also deliver champaign, I believe the costs were $25 and up. All the champaign choices were brut (we prefer extra dry), so I didn't take down the specifics. We are not staying in a concierge room, so this should apply to everybody in the lodge.

Congrats on all the posts on PART 3!!!

I would like to say on this post that I will never ever take another WDW without staying at WL! I thought DH and I could save some money (stayed at CSR.....BOO...HISS !!!!) We might have saved money, but lost lots of magic!

WL is our home away from home. What stinks is now we have to wait another 11+months.

We did however, spend a lot of time visiting WL doing Majestic's hunt and hanging out by various fireplaces (for hours!!!)

Therefore this post is for us to publicly announce our allegiance to the WL!!! You clearly get what you pay for and WL is the be all end all!!!!

Hi all,

HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

Did anyone dress up for work today? My crazy husband has an impromptu idea this morning. We both dressed like "crazy" disney tourists. Disney everything. We even put our bride and groom ears on. He has a magic kingdom tour guide in his pocket. Just everything we could think of disney is on us. ::yes::

Have a magical disney day!:D

Hi everyone. We are back a week now. Just wanted to report on our room assignment. I had not made any special requests prior to arriving at WL except that we had booked a Courtyard View. When checking in (12:00 noon on a Saturday) the CM asked for room preference, eg. bunk beds v queens, smoking or non. I was a bit surprised our room wasn't assigned already, so I said bunks would be fine, no smoking please, and I'd prefer an original courtyard view rather than a view of the Villas pool. She said okie dokie and gave us room 5035. It turned out perfect for us. We had a view of the pool and lake and were just a short distance from Roaring Forks to fill those mugs and down the elevator and out the door to the pool or boat dock. I wouldn't have expected any better if I would have remembered to fax my room requests.

Our housekeeping was magnificent. Not only was our room tidy, towels dry and clean, but she also left towel sculptures every day for the girls. It really turned out to be the highlight of their trip to come back to the room each evening to find out what was left each day. About Tuesday, DD9 left a note for housekeeping stating her name and age and thanking her for the towel animals. Later that day, we returned to find a huge Tinkerbell ballon. No note was attached but I would have to assume it came from housekeeping. This person went way beyond the call of duty. She literally doused us with pixie dust! Just a note, since the subject often arises on the board, I only left a tip at the end of the week.
