Waiting in LL if not riding

Yes, I am aware everyone has to have a LL to tap into the LL line. But if we both have a LL and only my teenager wants to ride, can one of us wait with her and then exit when we get up there?

My husband has to have a minor surgery and scheduled it for three days before we leave. It seems like terrible timing to me, but he wants to get it over with and it works better with his work schedule. The surgeon told him he could fly and ride roller coasters within the three days. I am skeptical of this and now stressed out because I don’t do thrill rides. He is the designated rider for the big rides with our teen and I’m worried she won’t want to ride alone. I am happy to wait in line with her if that is possible. I’m still going to try and get him to change it, but thinking of alternatives if we get there and he doesn’t feel comfortable riding.

Yes, no problem. Every ride has an exit at the loading dock. Just tell the CM who isn’t riding, and they’ll direct you.

Yep, every ride queue has a way to exit without riding. I used this while I was pregnant with my daughter and wanted to wait in line with my husband and son. Mention to every CM you pass that you will need to exit before boarding, and you'll be directed to the best way to do that. For Star Tours, the "exit" process involves walking through the vehicles to the other side once doors open. For Tower of Terror, the "exit" involves a different elevator.
