I never knew Russel was your long lost love child!

I love it!

And welcome back.

Love the Dylan pics too. :thumbsup2

Hi Jordan, I missed you so much! I hope every day gets easier for you and every day you get stronger. You are so precious to all of us and it has been lonely without you. May all our prayers go up to God's ears and help you through your difficult times. :grouphug:

Well put! :goodvibes

Just thought I'd drop a line that the "rock star" paid a visit to our humble abode today to help watch the kids. Jordan appears to be on the initial path to recovery. :woohoo:

Here's some pics taken by Dylan with my mac...I grabbed Jordy to get in...as you can see, Dylan was the only one posing in the pics (Jordan and I thought it was only one shot but Dylan apparently knew what was going on).

Anyway, Jordan has a long road to recovery ahead of him so your continued prayers and support will do him well. You're all such great friends and supporters.
Thanks,
Derek

Awww, we get to see Jordy. :lovestruc And Dylan...well, we all know he's so stinkin cute it's not even funny! He's so dang smart! I just can't get over how techie he is at such a young age! Must get it from his cousin Jordy.
Continued prayers and support goes without even asking....for Jordy and the rest of your family.

Hi Miss Camille! We both love Boise and have our love grow stronger every time we visit. We are thinking we may Winter in Texas sometimes - we will be retired so why not be snow birds? ;)

Now, you must be :cloud9: to have your trip so close!!!! :yay: Are you all packed?

Snow bird it here?!? :yay: :dance3: :woohoo: :cheer2: Maybe we can meet up every once and a while. :goodvibes
:cloud9: Doesn't even begin to describe it!! I may have to post a list of all the things I love to see, hear and smell (yes you read that right) when getting ready to go to Disney!!

:rotfl: Packed! That's a good one....no, but I'm getting as organized as you can be before packing, does that count?
Last week I went through all of Mackenzie's outfits to be sure we put everything together and took back what didn't fit or needed a new size in (that's the hard part about trying to buy ahead of time with a 10 year old). She's all set, she even took over a pair of my Yellow Box flip-flops. (yes she wears the same size as mama) :scared: :goodvibes That's OK, I now won't have to worry about what shoes she'll wear and be comfy in during the trip. We have tennies for her, but you never know how these things work out until your there.
I also did the same with my son and made sure he put together what he was thinking of for clothes. Sometimes I'm not sure where boys heads go when it comes to clothes, like today he knew it would be hot out and he still wore black skinny jeans. :sad2:   This is exactly why I asked him to show me what he was thinking on taking with him to WDW for clothes!
I just went through my clothes to be sure all was well there.
Toiletries are all in order, Garden Grocer list/order is done and put in, lists are made and things are being checked off regularly.
Our inten. is still being written out, but I don't usually do this until the last few weeks any way so everything is still fresh in my mind (love my Tour Guide Mike).
We got Mickey mail today!!! We needed at least two more yellow tags, so I called and made sure that was taken care of. In 2007 we received this great see through plastic envelope to put all our travel (papers) stuff for M.E./Dinsey in, I went and found that in a drawer and put all our booklets and luggage stickers into it so it's ready for D-day! :woohoo:
I still have an auto-graph book to make for Mackie and a house to clean before we leave, but other than that I think everything is pretty much done! Well, except for laundry and the actual packing. :goodvibes
I bet your glad you asked now! :rotfl:

Hey good job Camille! You are on top of things. What do you like to smell before you go? I am pretty tuned in to smells, but I like to look forward to what I'll smell when I get there!

Looks like you are WELL on top of things there, Camille!!! Great job at being organized!

Thank you ladies! I've really put a lot of time and thought into this, it feels good to have someone acknowledge I've done a good job with it.

Well, let's see. I love the smell of new suit cases, the sounds of zippers, the smell of new clothes, the smell of Cinnabon because it means I'm in the airport!
And! I know this sounds crazy... but I love the smell of Jet fuel!!! It means I'm going somewhere for vacation!!!
Then there's the smell of Main St., you can smell the bakery almost as soon as you step foot on it, that is if the Confectioners doesn't hit you first :cloud9: The smell of being in Adventureland, the smell of the woods from the train station and Thunder Mt. (I swore I smelt this when out watering my garden today :goodvibes). The smell of the water when you get onto PoTC, and Splash! The smells on Soarin....:cloud9: <big happy sigh> I swear I can smell the smell of Soarin when walking into the Disney store here, I can smell this store the second I walk into the mall!
I had Mackie cracking up in the car the other day when I started just randomly calling out the things I love to hear and smell because it means I'm about to get on a plane or I'm in my most happy place on earth....Walt Disney World!!! :cloud9:

You think the giddiness might have set in yet?

Welcome back Jordan. Hope you are on the road to healing. It sounds like you've been through a lot and hope you can find some peace in your life .

On a lighter noteI told my kids about your "peeps" which they thought was hysterical and they're determined to pose with a group of your peeps on our next trip (which is hopefully next February, yay!).

It sure is great to see that smile on Jordy

Dylan is such a ham! I also love the Wall-E shirt he's sporting :lovestruc

:

YOu are not alone in your liking the smell of jetfuel. I like it to, because it means a specific thing. I like the smell of tire shops too. :confused3 but that's not as pleasant as going somewhere. :lmao:

Anyway, yes, it is nice to be congratulated on a job well done. Especially in parenting. Am I right?? ;)

Also, thanks for praying for us today. Mike did not get thrown in jail with a room full of illegal Uzbeks, and it looks like with (more) hard work and stress it will be fine. Just a new kind of visa or a work permit We'll see... Don't ya love the drama???

hey Jordan, I am just know getting caught up with your trip report. I have to say that in situations like this, the only thing we can do is to ask God to lift our spirit up and to help us to not look back as much as possible. Sending thought and prayers your way.

Hi all! Sorry you are going through a rough time Jordan, I hope everything works out for the best.
Got back from Vegas, had a good time. Do you know, I think I walked more in three days in Vegas than in a week at Disney!

so i've decided since i'm so pathetically behind on everyone's TRs, i'm just going to try to concentrate on one TR at a time when i have a few spare minutes. it's way too overwhelming to try to catch up on everyone's in one sitting. you have the honor of being first since you have a nifty index. i so wish everyone had one of these!

Lots o tongue. Dec 2005 at Saratoga Springs resorts. Notice 3 yo Erin and 5 month old Dylan:

look what a chunky monkey dylan was!!!!! OMG....SO FLIPPIN' CUTE!

It's been a very difficult week and I'm still processing what happened and what will continue to happen over the next few months. I hesitate to really tell too much because really, once it's on the internet, it's there FOREVER.

i know you posted this about 2 weeks ago and i hate to drudge up this stuff, but i just saw it. i'm so, so sorry to hear that such a thing happened to you. i see it with my job all the time and it's so scary to think of the monsters out there in the world. i wish i could give you a real hug! you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you are going through this transition in your life. i hope it's getting easier and that you are able to deal with these issues in a way that brings you some peace.

To say the last few weeks has been difficult is an understatement.

glad to see you are getting back in the swing of things. and i'm sorry i didn't know any of this was going on. i feel like i dropped the ball! not that you depend on me for emotional support, but i want to offer it to you. and i feel bad that it's late. anywho, you are a rock star and i'm sure you will overcome this!!!! i'm behind you all the way. :goodvibes

do you think we look alike?

maybe a little around the eyes. ;)

Hi Jordan,

I've been reading your trip reports for awhile now but I must have missed your first PTR. I'm so sorry to hear about your current challenges and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I know it seems strange to feel like you "know" someone just from reading their musings and such online, but you have a unique talent and gift for writing. Maybe you should consider freelance writing. ;)

And on a side note, I'm not a crazy stalker or anything, but I always think of you when I see Russell in Up. It is so funny you posted that photo because you and Russell have always been interchangeable to me! :rotfl:

I didn't even know he was supposed to be Asian until I Googled it just now!

Derek have fun camping:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Have fun, Derek and Erin! Thinking of you and your family, Wendy:hug:

Hope you have a good time Derek! Can't wait to hear about it when you get back!

Derek, hope you enjoyed your camping trip. How nice to be able to spend some one on one time with Erin.
Hi folks, I'm finally back into the swing of DISing again after my weekend camping trip with Erin and 7 other dads & daughters. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. We had a blast and I survived the windy nights in our wee little 4 person tent, meals by dads (we had hamburgers, hot dogs, sloppy joes, eggs & bacon, teriyaki chicken and lots of snacks), horseback riding and a near death experience kayaking (Erin and I and 2 other dads and daughters were blown out to sea while kayaking nearly 1-2 miles off shore).

I'll spare you the details of the kayak incident but suffice it to say, I won't be kayaking again anytime soon. Here's some photos of our trip to give you a flavor...Erin had a great time but she was sad that this was her the last Indian Princess event (it runs from ages 5-7) and I was crying that I have 6 more years to go with Dylan (Indian Guides) and with Ashlyn (Indian Princesses)

Thank Derek! The pictures are so random. Reminds me of the E*trade commercials. Looks like Dylan has found his calling.
Yeah, I can see him making movies someday...as long as I'm not the subject :happytv:

Hey Derek! Thanks for checking in! Dylan is such a techno-ham! :rotfl2:
I'd like to think "like father, like son" but maybe he's just a smartie guy.:rotfl2:

Thanks Derek. It was good to see some pictures of Jordan.

That Dylan is too funny! He looks like he thinks he's posing in front of the laundry at DHS.
Yeah, I wasn't sure at first what Dylan was doing thus Jordan's and my blank expressions, but he knew exactly what he was doing, that sneaky little guy.:confused3

Thanks Derek for the pix !!! Jordan again my daily:hug:
Anything for your Rosie, my dear.:lovestruc

Thanks for the update and pics, Derek! Dylan is really getting the hang of the computer!!! That's awesome. :thumbsup2
Yeah, I better watch out or he may bump me off my own Mac. :surfweb:

YAY Dylan for taking such fantastic pictures. Thank you Derek for posting them. Jordan is always in my thoughts and prayers, I adore him .

Ahhh thanks for that mental picture Camille! for a minute there I was at MK with you! We still have record lows at night - 18 degrees! My brave tulips are blooming anyway!

Oh, and a smell I don't care to remember, the unmistakable scent of those who do not shower or wash their clothes or wear deodorant before coming to WDW or America. Really? Does your nose work? :rotfl2:

Welcome back Derek! Great you had such a nice father-daughter weekend with Erin. I was :lmao:when I saw you "crying because you have 6 more years left to go to camp with Dylan and Ashlynn" Scarey about the kayak incident - glad you are all okay!
