Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

All caught up!:goodvibes I'm loving your two weeks from now posts!:thumbsup2

Back to your DCA update- I'm glad you had such a fun breakfast! The characters pics are great!!

You're going to have so much fun at TL. We loved it! The lazy river is the best.:cloud9: Oh and we brought the towels from the resort.

DHS plans look great! As you know, we love morning EMH. You are able to get so much done!

We planned Kali for one of the last rides of the day too! Luckily, the boys didn't get soaked but they did get wet. Swimsuits would be a great idea.:thumbsup2

Yay! for online check-in! You're so close now!!:woohoo:

I agree about Kali... last ride of the day! :thumbsup2 And I think I'll be taking HappyDog's advice and having the boys wear swim shorts on our AK day!

It's the way to go anytime you think they will get wet! Nothing worse than wet heavy jeans or cargo shorts which is what mine prefer most of the time. BLEH

Thanks, it was a ton of fun! Hopefully I'll get another DCA update done today.

How many hours were you guys there? I think it will be a ton of fun. We will see on the towels, if it works out to bring them, we may, if not, we will bring from the resort.

You are able to get so much done![/QUOTE] You guys are the morning EMH masters! It will be a big change if we are actually productive in the morning. :rotfl:

I figure we will play the timing on Kali by ear based on heat and what people want, as long as we have FP's we will be good. We had a hard time getting on it last year and ended up with it as an evening ride. We had time to dry before dinner...barely, and it was cooling down so it wasn't ideal. I do have ponchos but hate to use them up on that as they aren't that easy to reuse, the cheapo ones.

LOVE the looks of your day's plans. If I were going with the fam, I'd do the picnic in the park too. Well, if I could talk everyone in NOT doing FTBBQ.

Mmmm.... yes! Tambu- here I come. It'll be fun to compare notes on what we get.

Picnic is my top choice, FTB just sounds like too much, for me, in that kind of heat. But we will see what the group wants!

Yes, picnic would definitely be lighter fare, although the fruit platter at FT was awfully good! We split most everything there. But yeah a lot of meat if you go with the BBQ.

Is it really fruit? Or just cheap melon

:rotfl:

Which I consider to be the equivalent of...nothing. Bleh. It's just bbq saucey foods in the middle of the day seem heavy to me.

I need to look into Picnic in the Park.
Did Kendall enjoy her birthday?

There are some great options for the Picnic, either a cold sandwich set up, or a hot food picnic, both sound yummy and a nice change.

I think she did! We did a family dinner friday night, she and I (and a friend of hers) saw Charlie St. Cloud on Sat night and then yesterday after making her waffles, she and I spent the bulk of the day at the mall, getting shoes for the trip..ended up with the Keen flip flops and a pair of Sanuk flip flops and exchanging the shorts I got her for a darling sun dress. Then she and I hit the bookstore for a good 2 hours, browsing through the used books. That and some Jamba Juice. It was a good day. And I scored on books!

She needs new running shoes though so hopefully her mom will take care of it so that she can hit the treadmill on the trip...I'm tapped out on shoes after this weekend!

Picnic in the Park does sound like a nice change from the CS options at AK. I
How was Charlie St. Cloud?
I need to look into Keen flip flops.

It was a good chick flick. Nothing earth shattering but enjoyable. Bookwise I got: An Anita Shreve I hadn't read (forget name lol) , a Jodi Picolit I hadn't read (forget name lol) , Chasing Cezanne (Peter Mayle), the man who ate a 747 (or something like that) by the guy who actually wrote Charlie St. Cloud (it sounded amusing) and then I think the other one is called the single wife. Or something like that.

LOL!

Today brings us repeats and "all new" things for Sandie and Paul. What, and how we do things will really be geared around what they want to see as hopefully we will have already hit all our must do's earlier!

We will be referring to my binder pages as the week goes on, to make sure we've hit things. I was able to get about half of them done and printed over the weekend and will post the updated pictures. What is done so far are the following:

  • Cover
  • Park Hours
  • AK - Touring plan pages, AK CS options, AK snacks
  • DHS - Touring plan pages, AK CS options, AK snacks
  • Epcot - Touring plan pages, AK CS options, AK snacks
I still need to do
  • Epcot - Drink pages
  • MK - Touring plan pages, AK CS options, AK snacks
  • Touring plan summary pages (trip and days at a glance type thing)
  • Universal pages (not spending a ton of time on those)

AM Touring Plan - DHS & Storm Along Bay

7am wakeup & shower

7:30 Breakfast in room or on the boat to DHS!

8am - DHS@ 8-2 for EMH. TSM and OMD are likely closed so don't "have" to rush and be there for EMH but will beat the heat and get more RRC time etc. Plan assumes staying late so we can hit LMA. LMA is a MUST Do.

Get FP's for LMA (1st) and Indiana Jones!

Shows -
* Jedi Training Academy - 9:55, 10:50 & 11:45am
* VOYAGE OF THE LITTLE MERMAID - presented intermittently, Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday-Saturday from 9:15am to 9:45pm
* The American Idol Experience - 11:00am, 12:00
* Beauty and the Beast 11:30am, 12:45,
* Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show 1:20
* Indiana Jones Stunt Show - 11:30am, 12:45, 2:00, 4:15 & 5:30pm

11:00 Lunch at Fairfax Fare (CS# 6, OOP for Evan). This could change if we ate there earlier in the week and might adjust the day so we do a CS breakfast at the resort and then head over. My main concern is getting there in time for FP's to LMA and I have no idea how fast they go. If we were able to catch LMA already then it's not a big deal. My guess is we will do LMA on our own and then Indy with Sandie and Paul but it's very flexible.

11:30 BAB

12:45 Indiana Jones

1:20 LMA

Boat back to YC

Pool time 2-4

PM Touring Plan - Animal Kingdom

Target being on bus by 5.

Get EE FP's first thing?

Other highlights. See things we haven’t yet.

CAMP MINNIE-MICKEY
* FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING at Lion King Theater (Arrive 30 minutes prior to show) 5:45pm also 8:00pm for Extra Magic Hours

DINOLAND U.S.A.
* FINDING NEMO -- THE MUSICAL - Please arrive 30 minutes prior to performance. No admittance after show starts. 6:15pm

Adult Drinks - Yak & Yeti, Dawa Bar or Tamu Tamu :)

7:20 Dinner in park at Tusker House

If time after dinner, EE, nighttime TOL PP picture on way out, any remaining shopping as will likely be last time at AK. EMH ends at 9

9:30 Back to YC

Being at Animal Kingdom at night will be a very fun experience!!! Our first time at Animal Kingdom was during an EMH, and we had such a great time! :goodvibes

I'm curious to see how "at night" it will be, meaning I'm not sure what time it will get dark! Last year we were there for AK AMH and EE in the dark is the best! If we can do that again, see the TOL all lit up at night from the top of EE that will be....:goodvibes

Help! As I mentioned I am updating the drink pages. Well, updating isn't really correct, more like recreating as they weren't mine to start with and I'm not really planning to check any little boxes! So I made this gem, which I must say, I'm rather pleased with. HOWEVER I am 99% sure that there are more than one beer in Germany! While I don't recall what I had there last year, it was on tap and it wasn't Becks and there were 2-3 things to choose from.

Anyone know? Or see any other beers missing?

Can't help you out at all on this one, but I can say that your Day 7 looks really fun! Just not a lot of touring PM

On our fruit plate we got, grapes, pineapple, watermelon and canteloupe. Comes with a divine honey yogurt sauce. :lovestruc

your husband looks like me on TT taking pictures/video of the car getting ready to go outside.
:laughing:
