That was me. I never said that you couldn't get a job with a degree from LU. My point was that you're kidding yourself if you think it never matters. And I'd bet that in cases when kids have just graduated and have very little work experience, that it matters in more cases than not

Exactly. If you are going to stay in the South, or you want to teach at a Christian college, then LU might be OK.

But if you want to move away from the area, PARTICULARLY to the liberal Northeast or California, your LU degree is likely not to be worth a great deal to them.

And before people accuse me of being "rude" -- this is the way of the world. My UF degree is worth more in Florida than in California.

I heard you could take internet classes at Liberty (free) if you graduate from a Christian school.. somthing .. I know that my dd's school would qualify. I think it has to be from acs or something???

I think I have heard that too; it is free for students of the Falwell church private schools. Lynchburg Christian Adameny maybe??

Just wanted to say my husband is on staff at Liberty and my oldest son is a junior there and has served on the leadership team since enrollment. He is currently serving as an RA. My son loves the school, the environment, the friends from all over the world he has met and is throughly enjoying his major (sports managment) and minor (youth ministry). Our second son will be attending there as well (he's a junior in HS).
The school is not right for everyone, but it is definitely right for our family.
We also absolutely love the beautiful area of the Blue Ridge mountains and the Lynchburg/Roanoke area where we live.
Defnitely come for a visit and check it all out. I hope you will like it as much as we do.
